We need fresh water to survive. But most of Earth's water is undrinkable. It's in our ocean. It's saltwater. Only a small amount of the planet's water is fresh. And most of that is undrinkable. Some is polluted. Some is in ice caps. And some is kept in the air.

"We simply cannot use more water than we have," Rick Hogeboom says," In many places, people are using much more water than is available." But there is good news. We can help protect the water supply. One way is to pay close attention to our water footprint.

What's water footprint? It's a measure of how much water people use. It counts both direct and indirect use. Direct water is water that comes out of your tap. You might use it to wash your hands or do dishes. You might drink it. But tap-water use is just a part of your water footprint.

We use most water indirectly. We use it to produce goods and services.

What makes up the biggest part of your water footprint? "Food," Hogeboom says. In the United

States, clothes shopping can also make up a large part of your water footprint. A single pair of jeans takes almost 2,0o0 gallons to produce.

We must think carefully about our water footprint. That way, we can make sure all people have access to fresh water.

How do you usually express yourself? Do sports, or talk with the person you trust? Different people have different ways. Art is a good way for people to express themselves, Artists use different materials and tools. 

Some artists use paint.

Ceramic artists use clay.

If you've got a lot of information coming at you fast, or you need to pick up a new skill in a short amount of time, no worries.

Research shows it can help you learn more effectively. Make sure you bring a pen (or pencil) and plenty of paper whenever you're studying.  so you can still pay attention and won't waste time on every little word.

Create a learning schedule.

A regular timetable can help your mind get more information. Follow the schedule you make and focus only on studying or learning during that time period. 

You'll get more information if you study in 30-60 minute periods. Breaking study into short blocks, also known as "time-chunking"", works better than long hours. While super long study (something like 2-4 hours) may help for immediate tests, it doesn't lead to lasting memory.

Keep a positive attitude(态度).

Try to remind yourself that you're learning something to improve your skills. Think about all of the benefits, rather than what you're missing while studying. For example, think about how mastering Maths can help future projects, not just recent homework.

Buck had never experienced such freezing cold before. When he first arrived in Alaska, the icy wind made him shake all over. Back in sunny California, the coldest days were just rainy, but here, everything was covered in thick, hard snow that never seemed to melt.

Imagine feeling upset but having no one to talk to. Who would you turn to? Today, many people treat Al chatbots like ChatGPT as friends. I understand why. Unlike humans, chatbots are available 24 hours. They listen patiently and say comforting words. However, this creates a problem.
