My Robot Friend, Tony

Tony is a wonderful helper My mother is a doctor and she is busy with her work. Tony helps my mother do housework every evening. He doesn't get tired. He can clean the floor, set the table and even wash clothes. Recently, with the development of AI, Tony has become smarter. For example, when I say, "Tony, I'm hungry, " he will go to the kitchen to make me a fruit salad.

Be active (积极的) at school

Take interest in school life and your school subjects. Join in lots of activities. Take notes carefully. Put up your hands quickly to answer questions in class. Go around the school with a ig smile. 

Keep healthy

Good and healthy habits are important for you. If you don't have breakfast, you will be thinking about food in class. If you go to bed late and don't have much sleep, you will feel sleepy class. 

Face the problem(问题)

Don't put off things tomorrow. If you get behind, it is very hard to get back in front. Everyone fails some exams and has bad days. Don't make small problems big. Don't forget to ask for help. You are young, and no one thinks you must do everything quite well. 

Spend the weekends

Don't waste time lying in bed on Saturday or Sunday morning. Go and play sports, get together with friends in the park to relax, learn to play the piano, there are also a lot of things to do. You may read a book, practice English or help Mum with housework.

It was the first day of Grade 7, I had a mix of feelings. I was excited but also a little nervous. There were so many new things to get used to—— new rules, new subjects and some new things. 

All the students waited outside. The teachers held up signs with their names so we could find our line. I soon saw the sign for "Ms. Smith" and knew she was my teacher. 

Ms. Smith told us, "We'll be working together this year, I want us all to have the same ideas. Please think about What is important to you in class? Think about your teachers, friends and yourself. "

We all sat quietly. Then, Ms. Smith asked us to share our ideas, and we voted (投票) on our classroom rules. I really liked the way to choose the rules. All the rules would lead our class!

The first day of school ended, but the amazing junior high school life began. And I knew it was going to be a great year. 

Hello! My name is Wang Lele and my English name is Linda. My favorite subject is English. For some students, English is a little boring. But for me, it's really interesting. We can have lots of interesting activities in class. 

Look The woman in the photo is our English teacher, Mrs. Black. She is thirty and is from England. Her spoken Chinese is good, but in class she only speaks English. 

Why is her English class so interesting? Before class, she always reads a short story to us. It is relaxing. Mrs. Black likes using picture cards to help us learn English. We can play games in class, too. And role-play (角色扮演) is my favorite in her class. We play (扮演) the boys and girls in the book to learn English. It's great fun!

We have five English classes a week, three in the morning and two in the afternoon. We' re happy to see Mrs. Black on school days. 

Li Lei is 13 years old. He is  middle school student. He has many (hobby). He enjoys (sing) songs, listening  music and so on. At school, he (join)three clubs: the football club, the calligraphy(书法) club and the chess club.

Another man, Simon Beck, was also ill, and he had a serious pain in his back. The doctor couldn't stop it, so the man began to "picture" his pain. In his head, he drew a picture of a dog. He imagined it to be a real dog. And it was hurting him. Then the man talked softly to the dog. He put his hand on the dog's head and made friends with it. One year later, his pain went away!

These stories may surprise you, but more and more people are getting well in this way. So call on the "doctor" inside your mind, and keep happy and well!
