This story teaches us how true friendship is built on trust, understanding, and beautiful qualities.

Jordan isn't excited about his new school. The classrooms are big. He doesn't know anyone and feels out of place.

He eats lunch by himself and watches other kids laughing together.

One day, a boy named Max sits next to him. "You're new, right?" he asks. Jordan nods (点头). "Do you want to play soccer with us after school?" Max asks. Jordan is shy (害羞的) but says yes.

Hello, I'm Harry. I'm a student of Hogwarts School. It's a great castle (城堡). I take the train to school every autumn and then I live and study in the castle with my classmates.

There are four seasons in a year, and each season has  (it) special features.

Laba Festival is the first festival in this month. Do you know when it is?  From this day on, people begin to prepare for the Chinese New Year. People like eating hot Laba porridge (粥) with eight things in it. Laba garlic (腊八蒜)  is another traditional food in Layue.  It is welcome in the north. People like eating it with dumplings during the Chinese New Year.

 It is usually on the 23rd or 24th day of the last lunar month. People usually offer some foods to the Kitchen God first. They think he will look after the family all the year.  It shows sweeping away something bad of the old year and welcoming a fresh start.

Now, the last thing to do is to welcome the coming Spring Festival.

There are many wonderful traditional festivals in China. Chinese people have celebrations to welcome them. Let's learn about three important ones. 

The Spring Festival is on lunar January 1st. People put up the Spring Festival couplets. They eat dumplings and have a big meal happily. Children get lucky money on this day. Finally, all the Chinese around the world watch the TV show for the Spring Festival and welcome the Chinese New Year together. 

The Lantern Festival falls on lunar January 15th. People hang red lanterns. They all like red because it is a lucky color. Then family members get together to have a big meal. They also eat tangyuan or yuanxiao on that day. At night, children watch lantern shows and guess the riddles on lanterns. 

The Mid-Autumn Festival is on lunar August 15th. People eat mooncakes and enjoy the moon. At night, they also have a big dinner together. They eat delicious food and have some drinks. Then they talk with each other happily. 

Traditional festivals are important days for Chinese. People all enjoy the family time and have great fun on these days every year.
