Smart Use of Pocket Money

Each week, Timmy would spend all his pocket money on the very first day, never feeling it was enough. His father hoped Timmy would learn to be more responsible with his money. Soon, a chance (come): a camping trip.

Yue Fei' s story is touching, and if we want to learn more about him, we can visit his temple—— Yue Fei Temple. It is located at the southern foot of Qixia Hill by the beautiful  Lake in Hangzhou.

Although he was treated unfairly in his time, he has influenced us for hundreds of y.His story tells us to love our family and our motherland.

Ding Sheng Cake is a famous snack from my hometown, Hangzhou. Its name means"       " and it dates back to the Southern Song Dynasty. It was first made to   the brave soldiers of Yue Fei' s army and bring them good luck in war. Today, it is still served at festivals and important family events.

The cake was soft and  , filled with smooth red beans in old traditions. Now it comes with more different   to meet different tastes. Its bright red color is a  of success and good luck. It has become a special gift for students before important exams,  Gaokao.For students, Ding Sheng Cake shows the hope of achieving their dream marks. More than just a delicious snack, it  good wishes.

Aria was a teenager with big dreams, but she hated school and never worked hard. She loved painting and 1 to become a famous artist."Why do I need math to be a(n)2 ?" she would often say. Slowly, Aria's grades kept dropping but she didn't care until one day something3 her.

Lily:Yeah, truly creative. What are the most common problems online for teens?

Li Ming: Many worry about online bullying, wrong information, and too much screen time.

Sam:What do you usually do to help?

Li Ming: For example, we tell friends to be kind and report bullying. We also teach how to check if the information is true.

Sam:Has it been easy to get everyone to listen?

Li Ming: Not always. Some people think safety education is unnecessary and boring, or too much trouble.  We want everyone to see that learning to be safe can be interesting.

John:Do you have any other advice?

Li Ming: Sure. Being safe online sounds difficult. Just ask for help if you see something bad. The most important thing is to be safe and kind online.

①Beijing is home to some special birds—— Beijing Swifts. For hundreds of years, these birds have lived closely with the city, seeing its changes and becoming an important part of its long history.

② Beijing Swifts have lived in Beijing since the 1400s. When the old city walls were created back then, they gave these swifts perfect places  to  build  their nests.  Beijing  Swifts,  also  called  Yuyan,  are connected to Yanjing, an old name for Beijing used in ancient times. These birds have become a special part of Beijing's history.

Have you ever received a polite smile from a worker at a highway toll booth(收费站)? In fact,similar scenes have played out in many places. Recently, a well-known chain store has introduced a"10-4 program" for its workers.

The program's rule is clear and detailed. Workers must smile politely and wave warmly from ten feet away. When a customer comes within four feet, they must personally greet them. The workers have received a smile guidebook that says,"Lift the corners of your mouth, part your lips to show your teeth, and hold this until the customer smiles back." Can kindness that comes from strict instructions ever be truly warm and sincere?

Besides, treating every customer the same way can do more harm than good. People are different. Some welcome a friendly chat, while others simply wish to be left alone to shop or eat in peace. Imagine being asked many times during a meal,"Is everything alright?" How annoying!The customers may feel uncomfortable. More importantly,  when workers  focus too much on following these rules, they might forget other important tasks, like filling the shelves or helping other customers.

So, what makes truly good service? It should come from the worker's own sincere wish to help. It depends on personal judgment and a friendly environment, not on mechanical instructions from a handbook. Good service should be a goal to encourage, not a fixed order to follow without thinking.

In short, the"polite smile" at the highway toll booth and the chain store's detailed service rule share the same key problem. They both replace the true spirit of service—— warmth from the heart—— with simple rules from a handbook.

I' ve always believed sports, but I simply didn't get along. I just hated sports. In school, I was known to be often secretly"sick" on sports day. My mom was my partner, writing notes(假条)about my"bad foot" to get me out of PE.

Then came the invitation. A close friend asked me to his birthday football game."Absolutely not," a voice shouted from the bottom of my heart. But it was his birthday. So, with a heavy heart,I went—— fully planning to stand safely at the side and just watch.

Qingming is a festival for Chinese people to remember their lost family members. It has a history of over 2,500 years. It 46 falls on April 4th or April 5th. At this time of the year, spring 47 and the weather becomes warm.

People eat cold food during this festival. The tradition comes  a story about Jie Zitui in the Spring and Autumn Period（春秋时期）。

Qingming is one of the Chinese 24 solar terms（节气）,too. It is the best time for spring outing and spring farming. People always go out for fresh air and all kinds of sports , like flying kites and taking a walk outdoors. Spring outing is good to keep us . Farmers are busy with their work. They hope to get a good harvest（收获）in autumn.

In general, Singapore's rules make it a clean and safe place. When everyone follows the rules, it makes the country a better place for everyone.

In China, there are many different kinds of food. Some of them are popular. Among (在……之中) them, dumplings are the real Chinese food.

Everyone in China likes dumplings very much, and there are many different kinds of dumplings. Some have beef and beans in them, and some have eggs and carrots in them. But I love eating dumplings with cabbage and pork(猪肉).

Usually people make dumplings at home. When you have no time to make them, you can buy them in a supermarket. Then you take them home and eat them with vinegar(醋).

The Spring Festival is very important in China. When it comes, we make dumplings, and usually we put a coin(硬币) in a dumpling. Someone eats the dumpling with the coin in it, and he will be lucky in the new year.

Most people love animals because they are useful in many ways. They bring more fun to our life.

We find many different kinds of animals on the earth. Some animals, like leopards（豹子）, wolves, pandas and foxes live in big forests. We call them wild（野生的）animals. Most of them are dangerous. Some others like cows and dogs live with men. We call them domestic（驯养的）animals.

Animals are important to men. Men kill wild animals for fur and meat. Skins（皮肤）of foxes and crocodiles （鳄鱼）can be made into coats and shoes. People are now stopped from killing wild animals in order to protect（保 护） their lives. Domestic animals can not only give men food, but also help men with some farm work. There isn't so much fun in life, if there are no animals. People get meat from sheep and pigs. From cows, we get milk. Horses can take us to other places. Animals also help farmers a lot on farms.

It is important that men need to live with animals. Let's protect animals. They are our best friends.
