I'm Daisy. Last week, our science teacher Mr. Smith taught us the importance of electricity(电) and gave us a special task: to try living without(没有) electricity for a weekend. Our family thought it was interesting, so we decided to do it together.

It was really hard to live without electricity. After it got dark, my little brother and I could only read and write by candlelight. We usually watch TV together on Friday nights, but the TV doesn't work without electricity. We also found some food in the fridge went bad quickly. On Saturday morning, we even had no milk or yogurt for our breakfast. At noon, the room got hot, but we couldn't turn on the fan. We even had to wash our clothes by hand. It was really tiring.

However, there were also nice things about living without electricity. On Sunday, we went on a bike trip and visited my grandparents in the countryside. We fed chickens and picked apples on their farm. Also,we played chess together. At night, we sat under the stars and listened to my grandpa's stories.

This was a really interesting experience, but I cannot imagine(想象) living without electricity for more than a few days.

Teenagers can choose from many different sports to have fun and keep fit. Doing sports helps them feel good, have a healthy life and build skills. 

Swimming is popular(受欢迎的) and fun. It works every part of the body and is good for the heart.  There are different swimming styles to learn, so you can improve your skills over time.

If you like doing sports in a team, basketball is a great choice.  It's very popular with teens because you don't need many things. And you can hang out with your friends and get fit at the same time.

Cycling is another popular teen activity, both for fun and for good health. It is good for your legs and your heart.  Teens can cycle on their own or with friends, and they can join a cycling club or take part in races.

My hometown is on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau (青藏高原). The geography here is amazing. It is famous for the world's highest mountain. But this area is also full of the most amazing colors in nature.

The color white meets your eyes all around. The clouds are clean and soft, like our white sheep. The mountains shine brightly in the sun, like white sea waves.

The lovely blue of the sky always gives me a calm (平静的) feeling. It is like a great sea above the plateau. And words can't show my love for the rivers and lakes. There are many kinds of blue in the water.

Our grasslands, forests and fields are all green. When I was a little boy, I always ran around and had a great time. That's why green is my favourite. It means hope because it is the color of life. But green is not just the color of nature now. Trains are running through the plateau. They are this beautiful color, too.

The plateau is quieter than the big cities. We have fewer shops and restaurants. But we have the best things from nature. In my heart, it's better than any other place. I'm proud to say that I'm from one of the most beautiful places in the world.

A long time ago, there lived a little boy in a small village. His 1 was ill,so he had to get up early to cut wood to make money for his family.

It is 4:00 p. m. now. I am walking in the park. Look! A group of people are singing songs  the trees. Some people are boating on Qianling Lake and they are talking happily  their family and friends in the boats. Others are watching monkeys climbing around and taking photos. What  wonderful park! There is always something for everyone!
