When you are hungry, you eat food, right? You put it in your mouth, chew it, and then swallow(吞)it down.  Well, let me tell you!

After you swallow your food, it goes down your throat and then into an important place-the stomach.  It helps break your food into small pieces. They can become good things to help you grow big and strong.

The stomach is like a small bag. It can take a lot of food! Every year, a person eats a lot of food, like l0 big bags of rice! That's a lot of food for your stomach.  If you eat too much or eat unclean food, your stomach might get hurt. So it's important for you to eat healthy food. And don't eat too much at one time. Now you know, when you eat food, it goes down your throat and into your stomach, and then it becomes small pieces to give you energy to help you grow! 

What can you do to protect your stomach? 

Lily loved being outside and hanging out with her friends. One sunny day, she and her friends decided to race to the park. They were all very 1 , ready to show off their speed. As the race started, Lily ran fast and took the lead. 2 suddenly, she tripped and fell, hurting her knee badly. She was in a lot of 3 .

The King of Stand-up Comedy is a popular one on the Internet. Performers from all walks of life join the show. A university student talked about his problems when he was looking for jobs. A British man told his funny stories about his life in China. A grandpa shared what happened to him and his children when they lived together. Their colourful stories and different ideas on life put great things into this season's programme. The show is such a big success that it has opened a door to the golden age of stand-up comedy.

Today there are stand-up clubs around the world. Why is stand-up comedy so popular? Because people think it is simple and fun. All you need is one person to stand up and make the whole room laugh. The performers are telling their own stories in a straightforward (直接的) and funny way. This makes people forget about their worries and leave a big smile on their faces. So if you're looking for a good time full of laughter, choose stand-up comedy!

When the teacher asks if anyone can speak in front of the class, you lower your head. When you go to the restroom or dining hall, you always try to find someone to go with you because you are afraid of being seen alone. Is that you?

Well, many people have these kinds of experiences. They are feeling social anxiety(社交恐惧). People with social anxiety may easily communicate with intimate ones, like their family members and old friends. But meeting new friends and talking in public can make them very shy and nervous. A recent survey from a newspaper, showed that about 45 percent of the 1,560 interviewees said they experienced social anxiety.

Stefan G. Hofmann, an expert from Boston University, the US, said that social anxiety is probably a result of the fear that we will not be welcome. For Chinese kids, there's another reason for their anxiety. Shu Man from East China Jiaotong University said,"Most of them are the only children in their families, so they don't have many chances to practice their social skills." 

   ▲    Firstly, work on your self-worth. Stop thinking of things that make you down. Do your best to stop comparing yourself with others. Secondly, start smiling and give others a hug when you meet them. Stop looking at your phone all the time. Lastly, just be yourself. Take every chance to hang out with new people. Don't hide yourself in your own world.

Zhongshan Park is popular in Xiamen. Every weekend, many people go there to relax. Some people are volunteers there. Xu Jingxuan is among them. As a middle school student, Xu always joins the volunteer activities in her city. Do you want to be a volunteer like Xu? Here are some suggestions for you.

Do you know some countries have very special rules? Actually, the world is full unusual rules that may seem  (surprise) or funny. However, there  (be) different reasons for these rules.

In Switzerland, people must walk (quiet) at night. If a man uses a toilet after 10:00 at night and (make) noise, he must promise not to do it next time. In Singapore, you can't find that people sell chewing gum. Once people chew gum in the street, the police will take  (they) away. In Japan, people do not need to  (give) tips for the waiters in a restaurant. Because they must serve well without any tips. In Venezuela, drivers can't  (eat) or drink while driving. Police will stop you if they see you driving with sandwich!

These rules may seem special,.  they teach us to respect different cultures. What unusual rules have you heard of?

 My hobby is reading and I read many books in my free time.  I just (完成)  the book Demian last week. Now I'd like to introduce the book to you.

 The book tells the story of two boys, Sinclair and Demian. Sinclair was born into a (富有) family and lived a happy life. 

  Sinclair was a kind boy. However, he did a bad thing one day. The (经历) filled him with  (羞愧) and made him see only the bad side of life. Later, Sinclair met Demian. 

  Demian was very  (聪颖) and he always saw things in a positive way. With Demian's help, Sinclair had the  (勇气) to face his problems and accepted (他自己) at last.

  The story seems simple, but it  (触动) me greatly. It (鼓励) me to think about who I am and accept all parts of myself. It's really a great book.I believe it is such a (成功). If possible, I hope you can read it when you are free, too. 

Hello, I'm Sun Hao. I think doing sports is good for health and I'm a football lover. To be a football player was my  . When I was ten years old, I joined our school football team. At that time I didn't play just  for fun. I wanted to win the match, too. So I trained hard every day. I tried to  every movement(动作).  , the big day came. We had a football  with the other school team.Guess what? Our team won the race, and everyone  for us. From the experience, I learnt that nothing is difficult if I put my heart into it. 

Daming is a bus driver of No. 7 Bus. He 1 his bus along the streets of Changchun every day. He is a 2 man and always gets ready to give a hand to the people who need it.

3 a snowy night, Daming was on his usual route (路线). When he was driving his bus in the 4 , he saw a little boy walking in the heavy snow.

Maybe you grow up with a stop-snacking Mom. She always tells you that snacks are unhealthy.They can make you fat and be bad for your teeth.Well, Mom may be right about most things. There is a healthy way to eat snacks. Here is the advice to help you to snack healthily.

Make your own snack.

Don't buy snacks that are already made and sold in shops.Most of those snacks have too much sugar and salt in them. Instead, fresh home-made snacks may be healthier.The right snacks can keep you from eating too much and keep you from getting fat.

Snacks like bread are processed (消化) quickly by your body.They can't give you enough energy to last (持续) very long. If you really like bread, how about having some cheese to go along with it？This way, you get a healthy snack.

Be careful to tell that if you're really hungry (饿) or not.

When you work for a long time, it is easy for you to think that you are hungry. But it may not be true.  Have some water before you take out a snack. That might be all you really need. With one or two snacks breaks during the day, you may find that you eat less at lunch and dinner. And eating less is a great way to start losing weight. Sorry about that, Mom.

How many of you do housework at home? It's said that few teenagers would like to spend time on them. In their opinion, it's a waste of time. Some even think they should be taken good care of by their parents all the time. However, such life skills are really necessary.

On June 3, 2020, the Ministry of Education (MOE) produced a document(文件) for high schools. According to the document, labor(劳动) education is listed as a    compulsory    course for high school students. It would be as important as the foreign language or math. And each of them takes six credits(学分). Voluntary service, as part of labor education, would take two credits. The MOE also asks schools to make sure students do 40 hours of voluntary service during the full three school years.

A recent study shows that teenagers in China are doing very little housework. Primary and middle school students spend only 12 minutes a day on housework, compared to 72 minutes in the US, 42 minutes in South Korea and 30 minutes in France.

Parents think doing housework would make students spend less time on their schoolwork. In fact, it is very helpful for teenagers. According to Northwest Educational Service, housework can not only teach teamwork and problem-solving skills, but also give people a sense of pride. "Through such education, students are expected to develop working abilities as well as a better understanding of the world." said Zheng Fuzhi, vice-minister of the MOE.

On March 3rd, 2025, at the Juste Debout 2025 World Finals in Paris, two young Chinese street dancers, 10-year-old Song Haoming and 12-year-old Fu Junxi took part in the Hip-Hop adult group. They beat two of the best international pairs and reached the semifinals(半决赛). This is the best result a Chinese team has ever achieved in the competition(比赛).

Their performance began with a respectful bow(鞠躬) and then turned into a lively Kung Fu show of Drunken Fist(醉拳). During their performance, they amazed the audience(观众) by perfectly adding traditional Chinese Kung Fu to their dance. Inspired by Drunken Fist and Tai Chi, they created all the moves themselves, which made the crowd cheer loudly.

Their wonderful performance quickly made them popular online, and people gave them the cute nickname"China's top street dance kid bros". "Kid bro", or "xiaohaige" in Chinese,is a popular Internet expression used to describe kids who are very talented(有天赋的) for their age.

After their performance at the world finals, Juste Debout shared a post online, saying,"At just 10 and 12 years old, Song Haoming and Fu Junxi from China danced like fighters on the Juste Debout stage —— brave, focused and unstoppable." Many positive comments were left online. Many wrote things like"Great job, kid bros!" and"Their performance got me fired up!".
