Dianchao (滇超) is a very special football game in Yunnan. It is not only a football game but also a new way for people to see Yunnan's life. So, many people call it the "Yunnan way of football life".

There are 16 teams from 16 cities in Yunnan. The players are not football stars—they are teachers, students, workers or doctors and so on. There are two rounds (轮次) in the game. In the first round, every team plays with every other team. The first eight teams can get into the next round and try to get the first place.

Dianchao also has many things to watch. Every team has a special logo (标志). For example, the Kunming team's logo has seagulls on it, because people can see many seagulls flying in the sky in winter. Many people can come and watch the game. Before every game, people can watch dance and small shows. Some visitors (游客) in Yunnan can also play in the games.

Dianchao tells us that everyone can play football. When we play football, we can be healthy, make friends and feel happy. Dianchao hopes more people can play sports and like football in the life.

"Dad, are you happy today?" My daughter Wendy asked me when I took her home from school on March 20.

"Why are you asking this?" I asked.

"Today is the International Day of Happiness," she said, "It's a day to be happy."

"So did you have a happy day at school?"

"Of course. I played volleyball with my friend and I enjoyed it so much."

Talking about happiness with my daughter made me think more about happiness. How can I get happiness? Maybe I should feel happy when my wife (妻子) says my cooking is very good. I know she's very kind, because I'm not a really good cook (厨师). Maybe I should be happy when my best friend says I play basketball well, but I know he says that just to make me happy. I know I'm not good at basketball. My daughter doesn't think so much about happiness, so she's happy on most days. Maybe I can learn something from her about how to be happy. I should just enjoy the moment and think less about it.

Our school starts a rubbish sorting(分类) activity. All teachers and students need to learn to put different rubbish in different bins.

One morning, I saw an advertisement for Shackleton's Antarctic expedition (南极探险). It was my dream adventure(冒险).  But Shackleton refused me because I was too young. I secretly hid on his ship named Endurance and was discovered three days later. Luckily, he let me stay and now I work as a cook. I am so excited to finally join my dream adventure.

Above are some of Blackborow's diary entries. Finally they were all saved. They were full of joy and relief. Their trust in Shackleton had kept them alive, and he kept his promise to save all the people. It was such an unusual and unforgettable experience in their life.

Are you interested in kuaiban? The clapper beat is used in theatre shows as well as in teaching school children rhymes and verse(韵文).

To introduce the historical situation, Lao She used shulaibao in his famous play Teahouse.Shulaibao is a traditional art form of rhythmic storytelling and it was usually performed by street performers. Over time, it grew into a popular art form and gave rise to another performing art called kuaiban.

Kuaiban can be performed by one person alone, in pairs or in groups. The works include history,artworks and everyday life. Some pieces are very short, with just a few lines while others can last ten to fifteen minutes. There are even performances similar to pingshu, which can be told over several days.

Performers usually stand while performing kuaiban, using a set of clappers to create strong rhythms. Generally, the larger clapper, made up of two bamboo pieces, is held in the right hand,while the smaller one, with five pieces, is held in the left hand. With slight changes in hand position,actors are able to produce all kinds  of sounds. They also use humorous facial expressions and movements of hands to draw people's attention.

For many young Chinese, kuaiban is just another tradition lost to pop culture. However, many kuaiban artists are working hard to develop the art form in different ways. Among them is Mr Zhao,an inheritor (传承人) from Hebei Province. Based on local stories, he has created many new and meaningful works. To spread the culture, he has also given free training classes and taught kuaiban skills through live streaming. Thanks to Zhao and other performers, kuaiban is still shining brightly and will continue to be successful in the future.

Did you know that horses use more than 800 different facial expressions to communicate? Like humans, horses are highly social animals. They don't use words, but they do"talk" a lot.They show their feelings through their faces. If you learn to"read" a horse, you can often tell how it feels.

Let's start with the ears. A horse's ears are like little mood antennas(天线). When they hold flat back, it can mean"I'm angry" or"Back off". If they rest to the side, the horse is usually happy and relaxed.

 If a horse looks at you with big, wide eyes, it is probably scared. Perhaps it hears a sudden sound or sees something unfamiliar. Sometimes you can even see more of the white part of its eyes. That's a common sign of fear. That's when it feels safe.
