The colourful clothes we wear today are made by machines. But how did ancient people get colourful clothes? Tie-dye(扎染) was a good way.

Over 1,000 years ago, the Bai people in Yunnan used tie-dye to dye their clothes. Later, this skill became very popular. People even gave tie-dyed clothes to the emperor as gifts.

It is easy to do tie-dye. First, you use tools to tie, sew(缝制) or clip(夹住) your cloth. Then you put the folded(折叠的) cloth into dye. The Bai people often made blue dye from a kind of plant. Because the cloth is folded, some parts turn dark blue, and other parts are lighter. When you unfold(展开) the cloth, you will see beautiful patterns. Some look like animals, and others look like plants.

In the 1960s, tie-dye became popular in the US. People used it to make creative T-shirts and jeans. Many American children still learn tie-dye in their art classes.

At a famous recent fashion show, an Italian designer surprised people with tie-dyed dresses. He said, "Tie-dye is creative. We don't know what it will look like until the end. It's a surprise." Tie-dye has never really gone away.

Stress is a normal feeling. will feel it from time to time. Sometimes stress us to move forward. But stress becomes bad if it influences our everyday life and health. So how do you know you' reout? And how can you deal with it?

Have you ever been to Dongting Lake?  It's famous as"800-li Dongting Lake". Dongting Lake is in the north of Hunan Province. It is about 2, 600 square kilometres in size. It is one of the five largest freshwater lakes in China. Every year, thousands of tourists from all over the world come to Yueyang in order to enjoy the beautiful sights around Dongting Lake.

On January 28th, 2026, the McGee family's house caught fire. Luckily, Sebastian, their 8-year-old son, helped the family leave the burning house safely.

Sebastian's school had a party to praise his courage. The Washington County Tennessee Sheriff'sOffice also gave him a certificate(证书).

During this year's winter vacation, people in the south of China have traveled to the northeast,especially to experience the cool ice and snow trips in Northeast China.

Li Mei, Li Lei's sister, who has studied in college, said,"Exploring the rich history and culture of the north has opened my eyes. I' ve been to Harbin in Heilongjiang Province before, but standing on the thick ice this time is still a new experience for me. The weather and food here are quite different from my hometown, offering me a wealth of different experiences."
