One day, the weather was fine. An engineer, Jerome Michaud-Lariviere, was in a park. While he was enjoying the soft wind, he  noticed the leaves were moving. He thought  he could use the wind to provide something useful. An idea came to his mind, "That's energy. Why not make use of it?"

When we talk about science fiction (科幻小说), many people will mention Isaac Asimov.

When Asimov was three years old, he moved to New York City with his family. Though it was more difficult than they had expected, his father managed to buy a candy store. It turned out to be a big influence on Asimov's future.

As Asimov worked long hours in the store, he noticed that the sci-fi magazines kept drawing customers in. His father, however, thought that sci-fi magazines were useless. He told his son not to waste time reading about things that "do not exist and never will".

 Asimov continued to read those magazines secretly. While they opened the door to a whole new world for the boy, his father gave him a library card. The boy became a regular visitor to the library nearby. As Asimov himself once wrote, " And I made the most of it. For a poor boy whose family could not afford to buy books, the library was like a door to wonder."

Asimov sold his first sci-fi story when he was still in high school. As his writing kept improving, Asimov's stories became more and more popular. By the time he was thirty-six,  He created the word "robotics" and invented the famous "Three Laws of Robotics". It's hard to believe that these great achievements all started from a love of "useless" magazines in a candy store.

This situation raises questions about how society sees famous people and their personal choices. Should athletes be treated so strictly for such decisions? The answer is, of course, no, Quan has the same rights as anyone to make personal decisions, including which products to buy Being a public person doesn't mean giving up the freedom (自由) to make ordinary choices. As a teenager, she should be allowed to enjoy privacy (隐私) like anyone else. 

However, public persons like Quan often suffer from too much attention from the public Since her Olympic win in 2021, Quan's life has been under a microscope (显微镜) . The media and fans follow her every move. From her family members' activities to her personal shopping trips, her life has been turned into a public thing. This kind of attention creates big pressure, turning what should be a kind of pride into a kind of stress. 

It's time to consider why the public pay more attention to her personal choices than her real achievements. Quan is an Olympic champion who has brought pride to our country with her athletic skills. Instead of paying too much attention to small matters like her choice of phone, the public should celebrate her hard work in sports and the fame she has won for our country on the world stage. After all, public persons enjoy the same freedom as anyone else to live their lives.

Isaac Newton was born in Lincolnshire, England in 1643, where he grew up on a farm. When he was a boy, he made lots of excellent inventions like a windmill (风车), a water clock and a sundial (日晷). However, Isaac didn't get good marks at school.

When he was 18, Isaac went to study at Cambridge University. He was very interested in physics and maths. But in 1665, the Great Plague, a terrible disease, spread in England, and Cambridge University had to close down. Isaac had to return to the farm. However, he continued studying and testing new things at home.

One day when he was drinking a cup of tea in the garden, he saw an apple fall from a tree. He thought, "Why do apples fall down instead of going up?" From this, he formed the theory of gravity (万有引力). Gravity is an invisible force. Nobody can see it. But it pulls objects towards the Earth and keeps the planets moving around the Sun. Isaac made another important discovery. He called it "Three Laws of Motion" (三大运动定律). These laws explain how objects move. Isaac's laws are still used today for sending rockets into space.

Isaac Newton died in 1727. He was buried along with English kings and queens in Westminster Abbey in London. He was one of the greatest scientists who has ever lived.
