Using live streaming is popular among the people aged 18 to 35. Even the teachers give lessons by live streaming. Besides leaving reviews on the screen, viewers (观众) can also communicate directly with the hosts by buying virtual (虚拟的) gifts such as flowers, toys and cars for them online. • 18、阅读下面短文,从短文后的选项中选出能填入空格处的最佳选项,选项中有一个多余选项。

To make our life better, we often have things that we want to change—our eating habits, our health conditions, our grades, etc.

    ◆Set a proper aim

Understand why you want to change and what you want to do. Make the aim clear enough. "I'll get 10 more points in English." is better than "I want to do better in my schoolwork." Imagine the exciting moment when you achieve your aim.

    ◆Make a plan

Trying to change many things all at once can be tiring and hard. Make a plan weekly or monthly. Divide a big plan into small ones.

    ◆Keep positive (积极的)

Change often comes with challenges and difficulties, so keeping a positive mindset (心态) is important. Don't be afraid of failures. Adjust (调整) your plan if necessary. Remember, any small effort counts.

Tell your family and friends about your plan, and their support can be encouraging. What's more, joining groups is also a good idea, as you can get valuable advice and help from each other.

    ◆Be patient

It takes time and hard work. Don't expect quick results, but focus on making small progress every day. Celebrating every small achievement will help you stay motivated (有动力的) and keep moving forward. Change doesn't have to be perfect. It just has to be in process.

    A. Get support

    B. Learn from them instead of giving up.

    C. Change cannot be achieved overnight.

    D. If you're trying to eat healthier food, start by adding some vegetables to your meal every day.

    E. A good learner will keep practicing what he has learned.

    F. Here are some ways that can help you change.

  • 19、Many of us want to keep thin and healthy. But do you really know how? Here are some new studies. They show that sleeping may help lose weight, but eating less may not.

Less sleep, fatter legs and arms

People without enough sleep are fatter, according to a new study from Nutrients. Scientists divided sleep time into three types: short sleep (less than 7 hours a day), normal sleep (7 to 9 hours), and long sleep (more than 9 hours). Then they studied 9,413 people from the US. Results show that, compared with normal sleepers, short sleepers have more fat on their legs and arms!

    Dinner is important

Many people don't eat dinner to lose weight. But scientists at Osaka University, Japan, said this might not be the answer. They did a study with 200,000 university students. Then they found that if people don't eat dinner, it's easier for them to put on weight. One reason, scientists said, might be that people without dinner are hungry. So they eat more during the day.

Mukbang (吃播) makes you eat more

If you want to lose weight, stop watching mukbang. In a new study, scientists asked people to watch a cooking or nature television show. They found that those who watched the cooking program ate more chocolate, compared to the nature program.

Scientists said that by looking at delicious food, people will get more ghrelin (胃饥饿素) in their blood. This gives people a stronger appetite and they will then eat more.

    A、Eating habits. B、Sleep study. C、Health guide.

Pandas are one of the most popular animals in the world, and they are China's national treasure. Most pandas live in Sichuan, Shaanxi, and Gansu provinces of China.

Pandas mainly eat bamboo. An adult panda eats about 12 to 38 kilograms of bamboo every day. They spend 10 to 16 hours eating because bamboo doesn't have much nutrition (营养). Pandas have a special "sixth finger"—it's not a real finger, but a part of their wrist. It helps them hold bamboo easily.

Pandas are usually quiet and slow. They like to sleep in trees or on the ground. Baby pandas are very small when they are born—only about 100 grams, which is as light as a small apple. They are pink and have no hair. After about 6 months, they start to eat bamboo and grow black-and-white fur.

Now, pandas are in danger. The number of bamboo forests is getting smaller because of human activities, so pandas lose their homes. Also, pandas have few babies—usually one or two every two years. To protect pandas, China has built many nature reserves (保护区) for them. Now, the number of pandas is increasing slowly.

(1)、Where do most pandas live in China?
A、In Hubei, Hunan, and Jiangxi. B、In Sichuan, Shaanxi, and Gansu. C、In Guangdong, Guangxi, and Fujian.
(2)、Why do pandas spend so much time eating?
A、Because bamboo is delicious. B、Because they have nothing else to do. C、Because bamboo has little nutrition.
(3)、What do baby pandas look like when they are born?
A、Black and white. B、Pink and hairless. C、Small and furry.
(4)、What has China done to protect pandas?
A、Built many nature reserves. B、Moved pandas to other countries. C、Fed pandas with other food.
