In the past, children didn't have smart phones or computers to have  (funny). They came up with a number  games which they could play in their  (day) life.

Most schools offer different kinds of hobby classes. Students take them in their free time or after school. Some classes you have to pay for and others are free. For example, I once took a free Wednesday evening gymnastics class. But when I learned how to play the drum, my parents had to pay for the lessons.

The most popular extra (额外的) classes at my school were piano lessons and the drama club. Both classes offered exams students could take. Students with many hobbies sometimes felt more stressed (压力) than those without any. But the students with hobbies left school with many extra skills, so it is easy for them to get into the society.

I took up many hobbies at school, but I haven't continued any of them. I have never regretted (后悔) taking them. I met my best friend in my gymnastics class.

Li Yang is a Chinese boy with good habits. He has the same daily life from Monday to Friday.

He usually gets up at six in the morning. He takes a shower and brushes his teeth after getting up. Then he gets dressed at a quarter past six. At half past six, he eats a healthy breakfast before going to school. He always goes to school by bus.

He has four classes in the morning. He eats lunch at school at twelve. He has three classes in the afternoon. After school, he plays basketball with his classmates for an hour. He is a member of the school sports club. At about a quarter past six, he goes home.

He eats dinner at seven. After dinner, he does his homework first. At about nine, he prepares his schoolbag. He puts the books and the homework for the next day in his schoolbag. Then he brushes his teeth and goes to bed.
