Pets are human's friends. The pet-friendly community is taking shape in our cities. In some shopping malls in Hangzhou, dogs can use a special pet lift and comfortable pet restrooms. In Shenzhen, special buses have been introduced to make passengers travel with their pets. In Wenzhou, there is a park just for pets with fun things like slides (滑梯) and jump rings.
Petting cats and dogs has become a way for many to manage their feelings. Many shopping malls, hotels are increasingly coming up with pet-friendly programs. They see it as a great way to improve their business. Zhao Li, a worker in Xixi Paradise Walk in Hangzhou says that the mall started the first pet-friendly program last July. Visitors there have increased a lot since then.
The reasons for a more pet-friendly community have something to do with the market. It is reported that the pet market has been growing fast and pet owners spend more on pet housing, transportation, and fun things, not just food and clothes.
However, to create a shared community perfect for both pets and people, there are still some problems to solve. For example, pets in public places can make messes, be noisy, and scare or even hurt people. Pet-friendly places need to make sure that pets are healthy and train their workers to know how to deal with pet troubles.

You've probably heard it many times: Sleep is important. Just how important? Scientists know that our weight and height are connected to sleep habits. So are your grades, a new study finds. Even if you spend hours studying for a test but get too little sleep, you might do poorly.
Grossman is a sleeping researcher. He tested sleep in a way that connected people's performance with sleep. To find out, his team used a special kind of watch. It can test how long people sleep and how often they wake up. 150 students joined the study and almost all were around 18 years old. Each got a watch to wear for a term. The scientists collected results in the days and weeks before exams. ▲ As expected, teens who woke up a lot during the night usually didn't do well. The same was true for those who didn't get enough sleep. A nightly sleep of 8-10 hours is recommended for teenagers, Grossman says.
The results also show the importance of regular (规律的) sleep for students: students who sleep 8 hours every night will do better than those who sleep 8 hours one night and 4 another night. Few studies have been able to watch students' sleep for a whole term, and few have tried to connect changes in people's sleep with grades. Though this study was about college students, there is no age group that sleep doesn't impact, Grossman adds.
Helping students get more sleep depends on schools starting later. But it also comes down to students not using phones and other screens too late at night. Even with after-school activities, homework and social life, you need to "get your sleep".

In 1958, Huang made a life-changing choice. He decided to work on China's first nuclear submarine. As the project was a top secret, he didn't even tell his family. His family never knew his real job for 30 years. He once wrote to his parents, "I'm doing important work for our country." But he couldn't say more.
Through years of hard work, Huang and his team solved many technical problems with pencils and paper. They worked day and night. When China's first nuclear submarine sailed successfully in 1970, Huang couldn't hold back his tears. "I felt like I had just given birth to a child," he later said. The submarine could travel underwater for months, protecting China's seas.
Huang's family finally knew about his job in 1987. Though he missed many family events, his wife said, "We are lonely sometimes, but we know he loves China deeply. We are proud of him." In 2019, Huang received the Medal of the Republic, the highest national honor in China.
Huang passed away in 2o25, but his spirit lives on. Many students visit his old office to miss him.

Inclusion isn't feeling sorry for others. It means showing And respect to everyone. Over two years, I learned basic sign language and discovered to 10W connect with people who are different from me. Here are a few special moments.
First, I joined sign language shows. Though my movements weren't perfect, the audience (观众) always cheered . Their warm hearts taught me that trying matters more than being perfect.

Most importantly, I made friends with the children who couldn't hear . At first, my sign language wasn't smooth, they always smiled and gave me thumbs-up, patiently helping me improve.
