Jessica Gagen is a young woman from the UK. She is very beautiful and smart. She has red hair and blue eyes. And she knows well about how things fly and work in space(太空). 

Jessica likes planes(飞机) and rockets(火箭) very much and she wants to go to space one day. So she goes to school and learns things about it. Her favourite subject is science. She thinks it is fun and useful. But Jessica finds that there are not many girls in her class. She wants to tell people that girls can be good at science too. And she really does well in it. 

Jessica also wants to encourage(鼓励) more girls to learn science. So she goes to many schools and talks to them. She tells them that they can learn science well like her. Jessica is happy with what she does. She is a great example(榜样) to a lot of people. 

In our school, students in different grades like different subjects. 

In Grade Seven, students' favourite subject is always Chinese, because it's their mother tongue and it's easy for them. And most of them don't like English. They think English is very difficult. And they like PE and music too. Students at this age like playing sports. They can play soccer, basketball and other sports in PE classes. Why is music welcome? Because most of them think music is relaxing(令人放松的). 

In Grade Eight, some students like maths very much. But they aren't very good at maths, because maths in Grade Eight is a little difficult. Students in Grade Eight also like science and Chinese geography. They can learn a lot from science. And they also say they seem(似乎) to go around China after geography classes. 

In Grade Nine, English is some students' favourite subject. It's useful. Students often talk in English after school. They even watch English programmes(节目) on TV to learn more. 

Which is your favourite school day? For Mary, 1 and Thursday are her favourite days. Do you know 2 ? Well, that's because she has 3 lessons on these two days. 

Mary always takes a 4 with her. Her uncle likes travelling(旅行). When he is in a new place, he always 5 Mary. Then Mary finds the place on the map. She thinks it's 6 . Mary's 7 is in China these days. He says to Mary on the phone, "China is really great. I' ll take some photos of 8 . "

"Oh, that's great. I want to 9 how great China is. Can you tell me something about China?" asks Mary. 

"Yes, that's for sure, " says her uncle. 

Today is Tuesday. Mary is very 10 because she has a speech(演讲) in her geography class. She can tell much about China to her classmates. They all like her speech. 

—I have music and PE on Tuesday. 

— Sure. 

— One____is that our Chinese teacher is nice to us. 

— Mr Li. He is kind. 

One day Mr. and Mrs. Wilson and their  (child) were going to start their holiday, and they had to be at the  (airport) at eleven forty in the morning. "It will take us one and a half  (hour) to get there by car," Mr. Wilson said, "so we all have to be ready by ten o' clock. Nobody should be late."

At ten minutes to ten they were still all running around doing  (thing), except Mrs. Wilson. She was sitting quietly on a chair in the garden enjoying the sun. Her (husband) and children were surprised that she wasn't in a  (hurry).

When they sat in the car, Mrs. Wilson said to them, "Well, I knew that this was going to happen, so before I went to  (bed) last night, I moved all the (clock) ahead twenty  (minute). So now we can go to the  (airport) quietly without worrying about being late."

In a beautiful celebration of friendship, four childhood friends got together to recreate (再现) a valuable photo from their first holiday together more than 50 years ago.

Carol Ansbro, Marion Bamforth, Susan Morris, and Mary Helliwell have been friends  primary school. They  to the seaside town of Torquay, where they had a vacation in 1972.

"We always said, when we were younger, that one day we would go back to Torquay," Carolsaid. "And  we were reaching 70, we decided to finally go. Then Susan decided she'd love to recreate the  that we took when we were 17."

Back then, as , the group stayed in a tent. They enjoyed the excitement of being on their own for the first time. "I felt really  to be a grown-up," recalled Susan, now a grandmother of five.

They had difficulty  the place where they took the photo, as the white building had been pulled down. Luckily, a helpful hotel worker guided  to the exact location, with the same bridge in the background.

The group described recreating the photograph as a  moving experience. "It truly was a touching moment," shared Marion. "I still can't  it actually happened."

"We were nearly in tears," added Mary, now a grandmother of four.

Really good musical works (作品) will not be forever.
