Students around the world have different school days.

In the US, most students start school at 8:30 in the morning and finish at 3:30 or 4:00 in the afternoon. They have one hour for lunch and two short breaks between classes. After school, they often join clubs like sports clubs or music clubs.

In Japan, students usually start school at 8:30 and finish at 3:30. But many students stay after school to study or join clubs. They have lunch at school, and they clean their classrooms every day before going home.

In Germany, students start school at 8:00 and finish at 1:00 or 2:00 in the afternoon. They have a big break for lunch, usually from 12:00 to 1:00. After school, they go home and do their homework. Some students take part in after-school activities, but not as many as in the US or Japan.

My Weekend

I'm Lily. On weekends, I don't need to go to school, but I still have a busy schedule. On Saturday morning, I usually get up at 8:00. I do my homework first. Then I help my mom clean the house. At 12:00, we have lunch together. In the afternoon, I go to the library to read books. I love reading storybooks. On Saturday evening, I watch a movie with my family.

On Sunday morning, I take a piano lesson from 9:00 to 10:30. Then I visit my grandparents with my parents. We have lunch at their house. My grandma cooks delicious food for us. In the afternoon, I play games with my cousin. We always have a good time. On Sunday evening, I prepare my schoolbag for the next week and go to bed early at 9:00.
