Yesterday was an unlucky day for me. 

My class teacher chose me to make a speech in class a month ago, but I didn't take it  . When I got to school, I found I had left my notes home. them, I felt so nervous that I could hardly remember anything. When I stood on the stage, I tried  some words, but it was really hard for me. I learned that I should always make full preparation and be ready for different  . And I truly hope that I won't be so careless . This experience has taught me a big lesson.

"AI might change how teachers work and even take over some of (they) roles, " Zhang said at a forum(论坛) held at Tsinghua University in Beijing. The forum was part of AI robot competition(比赛). Zhang started (study)AI in 1978. He (hope) young people can keep working on it. 

During a discussion(讨论) at the forum, a teacher Beijing Technology and Business University talked about how AI could make school much (personal). Maybe one day, every student would have their own AI robot to help with studying. These AI teachers could help to make school fair for everyone, no matter where they live. 

Most of the winners in the AI robot competition were teachers and students from universities, younger kids were getting better at it. Yang was one of them. He started coding(编码)last year and won the (one) prize in the creative coding part of the competition. He dreams of building smart robots that can help people when he grows up. 

Jane is a 16-year-old high school student in America. As a(青少年) of her age, she often has a lot of worries. 

The other day, Jane (丢失) her bicycle and she kept it to herself. She was (害怕的) that her parents would be angry if she told them about it. She felt even (更糟的) after she worried for several days.(终于), Jane talked to her parents. To her surprise, they were really understanding. Her dad said he sometimes made careless mistakes(他自己) too. They got her a new bicycle and asked her to be more(细致的). "I'll always remember to(分享) my problems in the future, " Jane said to herself.

Space stations don't have normal night and day, and there is little room with almost zero gravity(重力). Because of this, space stations aren't the best places to get a good  rest. The astronaut Scott Kelly said that he had to tie(绑) his sleeping bag to a seat  the wall just to feel more like he was in a normal bed. However, the sun would still come through the window, so he would always wear an eye mask(眼罩) to sleep. 

The astronauts have 8. 5 hours a day to rest, but  , they only sleep for less than 6 hours. Not getting enough sleep is very for astronauts. It stops them from clearly. 

My cousin Jack told me an unusual experience about a special test. It was a few (minute) before the final history exam. Jack and his classmates were in the classroom, waitingMr White, their history teacher. 

When it was 8o' clock, Mr White came in with the exam papers in his hand. He said, "I know you worked hard and you can do it(good). If you don't want to take the test, you can(get) a B. "

More than half of the students jumped up to thank Mr White and left the classroom happily. Mr White looked at the rest of the students and(say), "Does (someone)else want to get a B? This is your last chance. "

Two more students decided (leave). Mr White then handed out the papers. They were all (surprise)that there were only two sentences on the paper, "Congratulations! You have just got  A in this test. "

Jack was lucky to have such a good teacher such a special test. It is important to believe in ourselves! It's not the mountain we defeat but ourselves!

Nowadays, the way of learning English has changed greatly. Millions of students (选择) to learn on the internet. 

Wendy is a girl from the (南方) of China and she lives in the city. The roads there are (通常地) busy all day except late at night. It takes her about an hour to go to after-school classes. She wasn't (自信的) in class and always kept quiet. Last summer holiday, some of her (同班同学) told her about learning online and then she had a try. She had online classes with an American teacher Janice(两次) a week. The teacher was very active and she shared what happened in her life with Wendy like a friend. She always corrected Wendy's (错误) kindly and taught her grammar patiently(耐心地), though it was sometimes difficult for her to (理解). Janice also asked her to(发展) a weekly plan for studying English. After several months, Wendy (改进) her English a lot. What a useful way to learn English!

One of the most important ways of finding happiness in life is to do what you love. But finding your dream job and trying to make it aren't always so easy. 

When I was a little girl, I didn't know what my dream job was. One day, my father asked me what I wanted to be, I told him I wanted to be a doctor because I didn't know of other jobs at that time. my primary school, once my mum took me to have an English class. I found that English brought me a lot of fun and I really enjoyed it. I thought maybe I could learn English well and an English teacher. 

It was not easy at first. For almost one and a half years, I didn't do very well in my English exams. But I told  not to give up. I tried my best to work hard at it and my grades started to get better and better. 

Now I know the true  of a dream. My dream is to be a university English teacher. And I believe I can make my dream come true as long as I work hard. 

My friend Jack often had (accident). A few months ago, a car hit him while he was on the way home. The driver was a bit (tiring) and didn't see Jack. The car hit Jack and broke (he) leg. He was hospital for over a month. 

Last week, he fell into  hole in a park. As usual, he didn't pay attention to  he was going. Some kind-hearted people helped him out of the hole and took him to the hospital.(lucky), he did not break an arm or a leg. The doctor gave him some medicine and then he went home. 

I always told him to be careful, he never listened. After these two experiences, he promised (take) my advice. Now he is much (careful).

As teachers, we often love to encourage our students to try new things at a young age. , I think this is a huge mistake—— learning new things at any age is important and it can help us become better. 

Take myself as an example, I didn't start playing ice hockey until my early 40s. My son was a huge sports fan, and usually I was asked to take him to watch games between the big teams. Gradually, I fell in love  the sport, and after a few months, I decided to give it a try. 

To be honest, it is  (hard) sport I've ever played. There was so much to learn. I also needed to learn how to pass and shoot (master) skating skills. I saw a lot of players get on the ice and pick it up quickly and  (easy). But I was an exception(例外). I was so terrible at  (skate), but I always kept on going. So I took some skating training  (lesson). Then I joined a hockey team and practiced hard in my free time. I finally made it, though it took me a really long time. Learning hockey has also helped me bebetter teacher in some ways. Being bad at hockey helps me to understand those students in my class who have difficulty  (learn) English. I'm not stupid. It just takes me longer to learn and practice a skill before I'm able to do it. 

It's good to learn new things  they come with more difficulty or not. It won't be late to start anything at any time.
