A librarian in Indonesia is lending books to children in exchange for rubbish. They collect in an interesting way. This can greatly help clean up the environment and also make kids 1 more books. 2 kind-hearted lady!

Jackson Mann is a 16-year-old boy from Milford, UK. He has been interested in 1 since he was a child. When he grew up, he began to care about animals around him and endangered wild animals. He even worked with the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) to 2 SOS, a card game about endangered wild animals.

What a great boy and a great card game!

It was a sunny Sunday noon. Pinky and Chotu were getting bored. Just then Chotu remembered his remote control car bought ten years ago. Looking for the car, Pinky found an old thing which was like the remote of Chotu's car.

Chotu touched the button. They both felt dizzy (头晕目眩的)! They woke up when sharp rays of sun hit their eyes. They were surprised to look at their surroundings. They were in a completely new place! 

The two of them stood in front of the huge doors—green, blue and red in color. ____ They chose the blue door.

The door opened. The place was so empty. No sign of people, it was all deserted, and the trees could hardly be seen. There were only some tall bushes. They stepped inside the door.

When Pinky turned her head, she saw a huge monster. They started to run and the monster ran after them.

Soon both of them were so tired that they couldn't move any more. They looked closely at the monster and saw that it was made of junk, electronic waste and all kinds of garbage…

"Please don't do anything to us," begged Pinky.

The monster said loudly, "I am the GARBAGE monster! And I was created by you—the humans. You threw all your waste on the earth, polluted its beauty, and cut down trees. And here I am, as the result of all your behavior and carelessness."

Both of them lowered their heads in shame. Suddenly a strong wind blew and pulled both of them back to their room. Chotu and Pinky realized that they had actually traveled to the future.

"Wasn't that very scary, Chotu?"

"Of course! We should do something to save our earth."

You may have grown up living with brothers or sisters, or this may be your first time to share your living space with someone else. While having a roommate has its challenges, it can also be a great part of your school experience.

Respect your roommate's possessions (个人财产)

This may seem simple, but it's probably one of the biggest reasons why roommates experience conflict (冲突). Don't you think he'll mind if you borrow his soccer shoes for a while? Don't borrow, use, or take anything without getting permission (允许). 

Lock the door and windows

Be friendly, without expecting to be best friends

Don't go into your roommate relationship thinking that you are going to be best friends for the time you're at school. It may happen, but expecting it gets both of you into trouble. You should not only be friendly to your roommate but also make sure you have your own social circles.

People often say that the earth is like our mother. She  to be beautiful and rich. But as time goes by, human is making the earth sick. People cut  too many trees and throw their rubbish everywhere. This has caused some serious . For example, the river is ; the air is less cleaner; even the temperature of the earth is rising. What should we do to the earth? My suggestion is that we should  more trees, put rubbish into dustbins and we can waste paper or other waste things for recycling. Everyone should know that there  only one earth.  we go on treating her like this, it won't be fit for us to live on anymore. But if everyone tries his best to protect the environment, the world will become much  beautiful and our life will be better and better.

Do you know why Paris 2024 Olympics was a "green" event? Its organizers have found a new way of going green: In some of the venues (场馆) in Seine-Saint-Denis, about 11,000 seats were made from recycled plastic. 

The seats were produced by recycling company Lemon Tri and a few partners. They collected plastic waste and turned it into small pieces. These pieces were then mixed together and heated. After that, they were produced into black or white plastic. This plastic was then cut and made into seats. 

Are these seats of good quality, you may ask? Don't worry! A number of tests have been carried out (实施) on them. The result satisfied everyone. People can sit safely on the chairs and enjoy the excitement of the game.

The seats were made from about 100 tons of plastic waste. About 80 percent of the plastic came from local recycling bins. Local schools also collected about five million colored soda bottle caps and they were used in the making of the seats. 

The seats not only help the environment, but also educate people about recycling. Augustin Jaclin is the co-founder of Lemon Tri. "Our kids put their bottles in the bins," he said. "When they sit on the seats made from these bottles, it teaches them to recycle more in their daily lives!"
