My name is Mary, and I'm from a small village. Today is my first day at the new school. My new school is very modern. The teachers are very friendly and the classrooms are wonderful. Every room has a computer with a special screen, almost as big as a cinema screen. The screen can show photos, texts and information from the Internet. It is amazing. 

The English class is really interesting. We use a new textbook and our teacher, Ms Chen's method of teaching English is different from the teachers' at my old school. She thinks that reading is important, and we speak a lot in class too. And we have fun. I don't think I will feel bored in Ms Chen's class. Today we introduce ourselves and then we work by ourselves. We do this in groups. Some students are shy at first, but everyone is very friendly and it is really nice. 

There are forty-five students in my class. Twenty-one of them are girls. People say that girls are usually more hard-working than boys. But in this class, everyone works hard.

Everyone could find their own interest, some even at a very young age.

Tang Lei was born in 2017. Her mom Liang Hua worked in a supermarket in the past,  she lost her job in 2023. As a mother of two, she had to make money for her family. She could make cakes, so she started  (sell) cakes.

The word "family" is special. Everyone wants a happy family. But some unhappy things may happen among family members at times.  How can we have family happiness and enjoy the deep love?

Learn to say thanks and sorry. We say thanks and sorry to others.  By saying thanks, we can make our family members feel they're important. And saying sorry makes them feel understood (被理解).

 We can start a conversation in any place at any time. We can talk about our daily life and feelings with our family members in the car, at the dinner table or on the way back home.

Share housework. Because we live in one house, we do our part in keeping it clean.  Helping around the house brings family members close.

Spend time together. We are busy around all day, but nothing is more important than spending time with family members.  We can eat meals, watch TV, go for a walk and celebrate birthdays together.
