Camels are our animal friends. They have played important role in human lives for thousands of years.

Scientists in Australia have used Artificial Intelligence (AI) to help them locate (定位)a rare bird called the Plains—wanderer （领鹑). This new information will help scientists protect the birds, which are endangered. 

The Plains—wanderer is a small bird that lives in Australia's grasslands. Not just any grasslands. Plains—wanderers are picky. There can't be too much grass or too little. They were once everywhere in Eastern Australia. But that has changed, because people have turned many grasslands into farms and cities. Scientists believe there are now only 250 to 1,000 of the birds left in the tree.

To protect these rare akas, scientists first had to learn where they were. So Zoos Victoria worked with Queensland University of Technology to locate the birds. The researchers set up 35 special recording devices (录音装置) called "song meters". Song meters record the sounds in different areas. Then the AI system used the recording to find the calls of Plains—wanderers. The system successfully discovered Plains—wanderer calls coming from two of the sites. 

It's the first time in over 30 years that people have found Plains—wanderers. Mr. Hartnett, who works with Zoos Victoria, says the discovery is ""huge". 

The new information will help scientists protect the birds. The team plans to work with the landowners to help protect the birds and the grasslands they live in. 

Jiaozi, a famous Chinese animation director, was originally a medical student. He studied pharmacy (药学) at a top university, but dropped out of his medical career to pursue his dream of making animated films. His parents, both doctors, wanted him to follow their path, but Jiaozi was deeply interested in drawing and animation since childhood. 

During college, he discovered animation software and secretly taught himself 3D animation. After graduation (毕业), instead of becoming a doctor, he chose to stay at home for three years, working hard on his first short film, "Hit, Hit a Big Watermelon". His mother supported him during this difficult time, even though many people called him a "freeloader" for appending on my family.

Have you ever seen the blobfish? For years, it has been laughedfor its appearance. It was even named the world's ugliest animal in 2013. But the fish just (get) the last laugh—it won New Zealand's "Fish of the Year" competition! 

The competition was started in 2020 by environmental group in New Zealand. It hoped to bring attention to the (protect) of ocean life in the country. 

The blobfish spends most of its life (lie) on the bottom of the sea. (lucky), its special body helps it live in such high-pressure environments. It has very weak bones (骨头) and few muscles (肌肉) it takes a lot of energy to build strong ones. The high water pressure holds its shape together. 

However, when the fish is pulled out of water, its body becomes a soft, "ugly" blob. 

The blobfish (discover) in 2003 and not much is known about it. Sadly, deep-sea fishing is causing its number to decrease.
