I was 18 years old and living with my parents in a small village in South Africa. We were deep in the country and had1 neighbours, so my two sisters and I would always look forward to going to the town to visit friends or go to the movies.

When we get into middle school, we find that we can easily get angry with our parents. Although we love our parents, we still have different opinions. Sometimes we argue with them, This really hurts us. 

If we have had an argument with our parents, try to calm down first.  For example, we can stay in our own rooms. We can sit outside, or go out for a walk. This will give us time to deal with our feelings. 

 Pick a time when we' re all calm. Then, sit down to talk about how we feel and what we need from them. Sometimes we may not think our parents understand us at all. This might be true. Then why don't we tell them how we feel and what's going on in our lives? 

Of course, the communication is mutual(互相的). We should not only talk about our thoughts, but also listen to what our parents say. We can find out why they have these different views. We should also keep calm and listen carefully when they say something that makes us unhappy. It's very important that we should keep ourselves calm.

When you are (邀请) to eat Western food, do as (西方人) do. Here are some suggestions. 

Firstly, knives and (餐叉)are used for most Western food. The fork is held in your (左边) hand and the knife in your right. (汤) is eaten with a spoon. Secondly, during the meal, the host will ask you to help (你自己). If you are given something you don't like, you can say,  "I'm sorry. I don't eat it. " The host will not be (生气). Thirdly, you should say that you enjoy every dish when it is (端上). Finally, after the meal, you are (期盼) to stay and talk around the dinner table. It is not (礼貌的) to leave as soon as you finish eating. 

Follow the above suggestions, and you will be thought to behave(举止) well. 

I got the chance to learn more about Chinese food and dining culture when I moved to China. 

Unlike eating separately in the US, Chinese people sit around the table and enjoy food together. It troubled me a lot at first. Not only were there a number of foods that I didn't know, but my chopstick skills weren't very well. 

But hot pot(火锅) is great for those who are truly looking forward to trying new foods. I love hot pot, as most of the people I know here do. Making your own sauce(酱), picking out everything and choosing what you will cook—It's the politest way to play with your food. And Ido love to try different things. While the pig brain was of course off-putting at first for me, it was actually better than it sounded. For the most part, I order food through an APP. When I first started doing this, I largely had to go by just the pictures. Anyway, I' ve certainly found that I have favourites. I enjoy lamb(羊肉) baozi and sijidou, along with too many other dishes to name. 

With many kinds of food, it seems like there is always something new to try, and something yet to be discovered. And I'm sure there are more food experiences to come. 

When British people meet each other for the first time, they often say, "How do you do? "Usually they do not  hands when they just meet or say goodbye. But they shake hands after they haven't met for a long time. 

Last year, a group of students went to England for a holiday. Their teacher told them that British  people shake hands. So when they met their English friends at the station, they kept their hands  their backs. The English students had learned that the Germans shake hands as often as possible, so they put their hands in front and got ready to shake hands with them. It made both of them .
