I'm Li Hua. Today, I'd like to share my suggestions for our beloved school.

Why did many Chinese people cry during military parades（阅兵）which was held on September 3, 2025 in Tian' anmen Square? To people outside China, it may be difficult (understand) why military parades can bring tears to our eyes. But it's more than just a parade—it's a moment full  memories, history, and emotion. 

For a long time in history, China was weak and divided. Foreign soldiers once marched through Chinese cities. We had little power to protect ourselves and were often (look) down upon by other nations. Those were times of hardship and humiliation. 

But now, everything has changed. When we watch the military parade, we see lines of Chinese soldiers walking (proud) and confidently. We see modern weapons made by China. We hear the loud sound of our fighter planes in  sky. 

These are not just shows of power— they are signs of how much we have achieved. They mean peace, (safe), and respect. For many Chinese, especially older people  lived through difficult times, this is very touching. We cry not because we are sad,  because we are proud and relieved. 

We feel that our nation has finally stood up. We remember the past, but we also see how much (strong) we have become today. 

It is a way to heal, to regain dignity (尊严), and to say to the world and ourselves:"We are powerful now. " That's  we cry— tears of hope, strength, and national pride. 

This year is special for China's math world, all because of an amazing woman—Wang Hong. Wang was born in 1991 in Guilin. She showed an unusual talent for math at an early age. When she was five years old, she had already finished the first-grade math and moved straight to the （第二）grade. 

Some people think talent makes life easy, but Wang's path was far from smooth. In middle school, her grades were not good at first—she （失败）to make the top 100. She felt disappointed, but she didn't give up. Instead, she worked hard with great （力气；努力）, and later became one of the top ten students in her grade. At sixteen, she entered Peking University to learn more about math. 

In 2011, Wang went to France to study. "I felt a little lost at that time, " she said. "I gave up on math and studied architecture（建筑学）for six months. （虽然）the work was interesting, it didn't bring me the same joy as solving a tough math problem. Then I realized I had only doubted myself because my classmates were all very smart, and I was （比较）myself to them unnecessarily. " Wang became confident （又一次）and returned to math. She continued to study even harder and later got her PhD at MIT. 

This past February, Wang did something （实在；的确）amazing. She solved a century-old math problem—the Kakeya conjecture（挂谷猜想）. How （神奇的）it was Mathemticians around the world were surprised and excited! Her success has had a great （影响）on young students. 

Now, Wang is a professor at two great universities. With talent, hard work, and passion, she is living a future even （更大的）than her dreams. 

China is taking big steps to green its delivery（快递；物流）industry. New rules started on June 1 to  waste from packaging（包装）. These rules require the industry to use less packaging and greener materials. It is the first time China has set  rules to make the industry more eco-friendly. As the biggest online shopping market worldwide, China sends out more packages each year than any other country. And now the number keeps . Just in 2024, 175 billion packages were delivered. That's a 21% jump from the year before! All those  and wrappers add up to a lot of rubbish, which is why going green has become so important. The government has promised more support and new rules in the future to help build a cleaner and greener delivery industry for everyone. 

I have the worst name in the world—Tom T. Terdle, which sounds like"Tom the Turtle（海龟）". Kids always made fun of it. Because of my dad's job, we moved often. And each time, I faced 1 nicknames and sometimes fights. 

I didn't like fighting, but some kids were rude. Things got out of control. Then, I ended up in the teacher's office. This time, we moved to Port Aransas, by the sea. Although living near the ocean was cool, a new school meant more teasing（取笑）. I got into a(n)2 once more and was kicked out of school for three days. 

Walking on the beach alone, I found lots of eggs, 3 under the sand. The deeper I dug, the more eggs I found. Then an angry voice said, "What are you doing?" It was an old lady. "You're going to 4 them!" she said. She pointed to a sign:"Sea Turtle Nesting（筑巢）Area!" I felt terrible, and I put the eggs back 5 .

Chinese soldiers are now welcoming some new"teammates": robot dogs. These China-made robots recently showed their amazing skills at the China-Cambodia"Golden Dragon 2024"joint exercise（联合演习）in May. 

During the joint exercise, Chinese team members were able to control remotely（遥控）a robot dog called Go2. It quickly checked for obstacles（障碍物）like fences and old tires. With cameras on its head, Go2 can send live video back to headquarters. 

Go2 is also very small. It weighs only 15 kilograms. It can do things like jumping, moving backward and even lying down—just like a real dog. It can work for two to four hours at a time before it needs a"rest". 

A heavier robot dog, Bl, can not only check areas but also attack. It carries a gun on its back and can shoot when ordered to. It can carry things as heavy as 80 kilograms on its back. 

The robot dogs can help soldiers with dangerous tasks, such as going through rain forests or other unclear environments. Their help can stop more soldiers from getting hurt. 

Apart from humans' best"robot friend", the joint exercise also showed more types of smart equipment, such as drones（无人机）. Instead of fighting in a war, these smart machines are used to solve common threats（威胁）like terrorism and natural disasters. 

Robot dogs play an important role in many other areas. During the 19th Asian Games in Hangzhou in 2023, robot dogs helped find and return thrown discuses (铁饼). Without the robots, people would have needed to cover over 7, 000 meters in a single competition. Robot dogs can also be"lifesavers". Some robot dogs can"see"clearly through smoke when there's a fire thanks to their special cameras.

"Mom, are you ready?"

Dad had finally agreed that Mom and I could go on a one-week African safari（观察野生动物之行）!I had always wanted to visit Africa's great outdoors. 

It required a lot of training to get prepared for the safari. The training was boring, but I would suffer anything to go on a safari. And as the coach stressed, the training was very important. At last, it was time to set out. The flight took 16 hours. I was bored to death, but deep down I still felt excited. When my mom, our guide, two other camping friends and I were driving to our campsite in a big jeep, I was thrilled to pieces. I couldn't stop taking pictures of everything and telling everyone how happy I was. After taking many turns, we finally reached our destination. It was the day that I had been waiting for for the past three years!

We learned many interesting facts on our safari. For example, the giraffe has the most powerful kick of all the animals. The black mamba（树眼镜蛇）can move up to 11 kilometers an hour. I saw some lions trying to avoid the afternoon sun while lying under the shade of a tree. I had read many books about wildlife. Aren't lions very fierce（凶猛的）? We stopped to take a few quick pictures of them. To my surprise, the lions didn't seem to mind. When I saw how calm they looked, I wondered if all the books I had read had been telling the truth. 

Then, we saw a fox, a group of playful monkeys and a not-so-happy-looking wolf. The sunlight was so strong that I felt as if I had just taken a shower in sweat!

At night, we had steak, baked potatoes, green beans and many types of fresh fruit I had never even seen before. They were delicious and I ate quite a lot of them. 

When we returned home, I felt tired but proud. It was an amazing trip which I will never forget.

Every morning, in parks all over China, you can see people practicing Tai Chi. This traditional Chinese exercise is known for its slow movements that look  a beautiful dance. 

Tai Chi is more than just exercise——it's an ancient art that helps both the body  mind. It started as a kind of martial art long ago, but today people  (main) use it to stay healthy. While many older people enjoy Tai Chi, it's becoming popular with young people too. Schools and  (community) are starting to offer Tai Chi classes. "I used to think Tai Chi was only for old people, " says Li Ming, a 16-year-old student. " after trying it, I found it helped me focus on my homework and worry less about tests. "

In 2020, it was added to UNESCO's World Heritage List, which meant it's seen as  important part of world culture. Since then, the whole world has become interested in  (learn) Tai Chi. In the future, it's believed that more people  (practice) Tai Chi around the world. 

As Master Wang from Shanghai says, "Tai Chi helps us find peace in  (we) busy lives. " From its beginnings in ancient China to its worldwide practice today, Tai Chi continues to help people live healthier and (happy) lives. It bridges centuries and cultures, offering a quiet path to well-being that anyone can walk. 

China's digital life has changed daily routines, from online shopping to short video viewing. For example, online shopping platforms have become very popular. They provide many (产品), from clothes to food. Before buying, you can zoom(放大) in on photos to (欣赏) every detail. You can often find simple product introductions (在……旁边) the photos. And they also help you (处理) with problems quickly. If you have questions about sizes or delivery, you can 礼貌) ask customer service for help.

Social media apps let you share almost every moment with friends, (除……之外) the most private ones. They have become something that we can't live without. 

Rapa Nui (also known as Easter Island) is home to over 900 Moai statues. These tall, heavy stone figures usually have long faces, large noses and strong bodies, but  of them do not have any eyes. Around 1, 000 years ago, these huge stones  hard rocks that came from many kilometers away. No one knows for sure how the ancient Rapa Nui people moved them. Over the years. many theories have been suggested. Some believe aliens moved them,  think people used strong ropes and wooden tools to pull them slowly. A  Rapa Nui story is that the statues came alive and walked  the island. In recent years, more scientific  have been used in an attempt to solve the mystery. Maybe one day, we will finally uncover the real secret behind these amazing stone giants.
