①About 70% of our body is water. We can live with no water for no more than three days. So you can see water is really important for us!

Do you like exercising in the sun? How much sunlight do you get every day? How much time do you spend in the sun? As we all know, enough sunlight is good for our health. It gives us strong bones and good eyesight. It makes us happy and sleep better. Now scientists find out that it can even make you smarter. 

Scientists did experiments（实验）on mice. They give mice lots of sunlight. After that, the mice make a special thing in their bodies. Its name is glutamic acid（谷氨酸）. Glutamic acid does many things for our body. It can improve some of our abilities such as learning and remembering things. 

It is OK to enjoy some sunlight for about an hour every day. But you should be careful when it is in summer. The sun is very strong around noon. Keep yourself away from the sun around the noon, or it may burn your skin. It is best to enjoy sunlight in the morning or before sunset. 

Why not go out and enjoy the sunlight with your family or your best friends? I'm sure you can be smarter soon. 

It's l:00 p. m. Patty's family are having lunch. There is rice, chicken and some vegetables like cabbage and onions on the table. But Patty doesn't like cabbage. She doesn't want to eat it and puts her bowl away. 

"Patty, " her father says.

When it comes to cold weather, we may think that it's always quite difficult for us in such a season. However, it also brings fun sports. It's still true for you to enjoy yourselves outside.

You don't need many skills to drive a sled (雪橇). In it, maybe there is one person or some people. As you travel, you move your body and feet to keep it going in the right way. There is a special sled called the skeleton sled (低架雪橇). It is a fast sled and many people are afraid to ride it. But once they try it, they want to do it many times. 

Skating needs much practice. Never start skating without enough practice. Be sure you get a pair of right ice skates to keep you on your feet. There are many different kinds of skating. You might compete (竞赛) with your friends, or you can make different pictures on the ice with your skates. 

Animals are our friends. We know that dogs can help blind people go to some places. Now, horses can also do it. Digby is a small American horse. Now, it is the first guide horse in England. And its owner is a blind man named Mohammed Patel. Patel is afraid of dogs, so he chooses Digby as his guide. 

Digby gets a lot of training with Patel. It learns to walk slowly and lead Patel to walk on the street and get books and magazines for him. It also helps Patel choose clothes when he goes shopping. 

Now, it is not a small horse. It is very big and about 0.8 meters tall so Patel can't take it to his company. When Patel takes it to the office, it knocks things off the desks. So Patel has to say goodbye to Digby. Luckily, Digby has a new job. It helps blind people travel around some places in London. It also helps blind people get to the bus station. 

As we know, a guide dog has only eight years of working life, but a guide horse can live for about 50 years. So a guide horse can be a "lifelong friend" for people.
