Have you ever dreamt of flying into space? Does it sound like great fun? Well, for 18-year-old Anastatia Mayers and her mum Keisha, their dreams finally came true last year!

The pair got the chance to take the once-in-a-lifetime trip after winning a competition. They got two5 in the spaceship. They took off on 10 August, 2023. They flew in a rocket carried by a special plane. The rocket then 6 from the plane and blasted (发射升空) off up to the edge of the atmosphere (大气层边缘).

The exciting trip lasted about 90 minutes. During the flight, Anastatia and her mum7 zero gravity and floated inside the rocket as it climbed to a height of about 85 km. From there, they could enjoy the view of the Earth!

The torch's design draws ideas from the Grand Bronze Standing Figure from Sanxingdui in Sichuan. The torch looks like a bamboo shoot. In China, bamboo symbolizes modesty and strength. It also shows unity, hard work, and health. The top of the torch is shaped like a young bamboo shoot.

At the bottom of the torch, a phoenix-shaped bird holds it up. This reminds us of an old saying: "When a holy bird flies and sings, peace is in the world."
