How Sitcomsl Can Teach You Real English

①Learning a new language can sometimes make you feel slow and boring. There always seems to be so much to remember. However, an American writer once said, "What we learn with pleasure, we never forget. " So, why not make learning more enjoyable? What could be more fun than watching sitcoms?

I am in Yunnan Province now.It's the Water­splashing Festival (泼水节)! People get together to celebrate the Dai New Year.They splash water on each other.To them, this will bring good luck to others.I get very wet.How lucky I am!

When I finished my primary school last summer, my family and I tooktrip to four cities in the south of China.

First, we came to Nanjing by plane.It took us an hour to fly there.11：30, we went

to a restaurant to have lunch.The food tasted delicious.In the afternoon we went to the Sun Yat­sen Mausoleum.We heard a lot of(story) about Sun Yat­sen.

The next day, we came to Suzhou to visit Zhouzhuang.It is an old place.It(have) a history of about 900 years.The houses there are along the river.People always wash (they) clothes by the river and the river is still clear.

On the(three) day, we came to Hangzhou and we visited the West Lake.It was very beautiful.As we all know, Hangzhou is famous for silk and tea, so we bought some(beauty) silk and nice tea.

On the last day, we visited Shanghai.We watched cars (come)and going all day long.The night view ( 景 色 ) in Shanghai was hard (forget) ． Everything was excellent.We visited the TV tower.You could see the city from the high tower.

This trip took us four dayswe went back home by train.

There are so many beautiful places around the world, but my favourite place is Xinjiang.To me, Xinjiang is full of wonderful landscapes and amazing1 ．

Chongqing is a beautiful city and the people there are friendly.I'm Julie from a middle school in Beijing.Last summer holiday, my parents and I went on vacation in Chongqing.But it was hot and wet in Chongqing most of the time these days.I don't like the weather there but I love the food and scenery (风景)．

In the morning, it was rainy.We just stayed at the hotel and I felt really bored because we had nothing to do but sleep and watch TV.Luckily, it stopped raining at noon.So we went out to eat something special for lunch—Chongqing hot pot.It is quite different from Beijing hot pot.The food there is really hot and spicy (辛辣的)．After lunch, we went to visit Hongyadong because quite a lot of visitors told us that it was a good place to visit.It was really fantastic! There were lots of old and beautiful buildings along the way and nice food from all over the world.I really wondered what life was like there in the past.I did enjoy walking around Hongyadong because there were many tasty snacks there.We tried American coffee, Italian pizzas and British tea there.

What a wonderful time we spent! I believe Chongqing will be more beautiful and I'm sure I will come back again someday in the near future.

Early this spring, Jiang Zhihang and his classmates from Beijing International School, got together at Mount Huangshan in Anhui.It was an unusual trip.They not only enjoyed the beautiful views, but they also needed to learn about geography in the large National Geopark.

Nowadays, such study trips are becoming popular in schools across China.By taking a study trip, students can get to know more about culture, history and nature.

Think about everyone who will travel with you.If you are going to travel with your parents, grandparents or your friends, you need to think about the place where everyone wants to go.

Plan the cost.Knowing about the cost of traveling to each place may help you better choose a place.Planning your cost is the most important part in your traveling plan.
