Welcome to New-Look Clothes Store. We have shirts in red, blue, pink and black. People of all ages can buy a suitable(合适的)  one for themselves. And if you like, you can also buy clothes like trousers, coats and skirts.

You can buy suits(套装)  at very good prices. A man's suit costs 300 yuan, and a woman's suit costs 20yuan more than a man's suit. But if you buy two suits, you can buy a second suit for only 200 yuan!

The Dragon Boat Festival is one of the most important traditional festivals in China. On that day, people usually 1 zongzi and have dragon boat races.

This year, I go to my 2 home with my parents. I still remember the 3 time. Grandma teaches us 4 to make zongzi. At first, we make the leaves into cones(圆锥体), and add the glutinous rice(糯米)  and meat into them.5 , we tie them. Meanwhile, my grandpa tells us the 6 of the festival.

It is my first time to make zongzi 7 I make many mistakes. But my grandma 8 me again and again. Then we put the zongzi into the pot to cook. About half an hour later, we start to eat. For the first time,I taste the food made by myself. It is really delicious!  I not only learn to make zongzi, but also have a great 9 . I feel the warmth of 10 . I believe it will always be in my heart.

Light Meals for a Healthier You

Many Chinese care about health because being too fat can cause problems. That's why (balance) light meals have become great choices for healthy eating. Now many young people like light meals because they want to be fit  sports stars.

Light meals have little sugar and fat. They are good for (lose) weight. A common light meal(usual) has vegetables, eggs and meat, with 200-500 calories(卡路里). Easy cooking ways(keep) the natural taste of the food.

Some people think light meals are only Western food like salads and (sandwich). However,Chinese food works too. For example, malatang is good choice. You may think it is unhealthy it's getting healthier because people don't put high-calorie food like hot dogs in it. This kind ofChinese food (be) healthy and it tastes delicious.

Light meals help people lose weight and people don't need to change (they) eating habits much. So, are you ready to enjoy light meals?

Sports Day was a big success this year! All the students and teachers took park in the sports meeting.There were different 1 like running, long jump, high jump and rope jumping.

Everyone 2 hard and got some good exercise. There were many winners from different 3 . Kim,from Grade 7, took first place in four games. Tony, from Grade 8, 4 first place in two games and second place in three games. Well done!

Our class joined the rope jumping. 5 we lost, we still had great fun. Our teacher said, "Working together builds team 6 ! That's the real prize." We all agreed and felt proud because we tried our best 7 a team.

I took part in a running race. I ran really hard, but I 8 got fourth place. I felt a little sad, but my teammates encouraged me, "Good work, Danny. Winning isn't 9 . Having fun is also important!" They were 10 ! We all had lots of fun! Thank you everyone for a great Sports Day.

Sunday, 28th May                         Sunny

Today I went on a cycling trip with my friends. It was an amazing experience!

After breakfast, we set off for a little village. We followed the map, but it did not give enough information.We got lost! No one knew the right way. I was a little worried(担忧的), but thankfully, a driver stopped and told us which way to go.

We cycled for another hour and then arrived at the village. We were all excited. The village is in a beautiful and quiet area. After lunch, we walked around and saw all kinds of interesting flowers and plants. I used an app to find out more about them. We took some great photos. It was really enjoyable and relaxing!

On our way back, Sandy's bike had a problem. We all helped repair(修补) Sandy's bike. We were a little tired, but we were proud of our teamwork.

It was a great day! We had a lot of fun and learned about nature. I can't wait to do it again.

An Amazing Cycling Trip

Would you like a trip to a village or a city? Why?(About 15 words) 

Sichuan has three different weather places because of its tall mountains and valleys(山谷).And it is often cloudy, wet, and foggy in winter. In the southwest places like Panzhihua, the sun is strong and winters are very dry. In the northwest places like Ganzi, summers are short and cool, but winters are long and snowy.

The rainy season is from May to October. Some places get over 1,800 mm, making them some of China's wettest places. 

 For example, in Jiuzhaigou, it can be 9℃ in the morning but 30℃ at noon!

The different weather create s good things. Pandas eat in wet forests, apple trees grow on sunny mountains,and sheep walk on icy high lands It's all because of the power of the mountains and valleys.

One day, a boy asked his grandfather,"How can I be successful when I grow up?" Instead of answering,Grandpa took him to a plant shop. He bought two small plants. Then he planted one plant in a pot and kept it inside the house and planted the other outside the house."Which will grow better?" Grandpa asked. The boy thought,"The indoor plant!  It's safe from strong sun, rain and animals." Grandpa smiled,"Let's wait and see."

After four years, the boy visited his grandpa and remembered the question,"Grandpa, please tell me the way to success!" Grandpa took the boy to see the inside plant. They saw the plant turned into a tree. Then they went outside and saw a huge tree standing. Its branches grew far and wide, giving shade(荫凉) to people.Grandpa pointed at(指)  the outdoor tree,"See? The indoor plant looks nice but isn't strong. It never faced problems. But the outdoor plant grew strong because of the wind, rain and hot sun."

He kept,"If you always  make comfortable(舒适的)  choices, you will grow like the inside tree. Real success isn't about running away from problems—— it's about learning from them." The boy looked at the tree and understood his grandpa's words.

They are travelling more than 100 kilometres(千米)  every day. They are bringing about 200,000 meals on bikes or on foot to hungry workers, all at exactly 12:30 p. m.

Many of them can't read or write, but they hardly ever lose lunch boxes in one of the biggest cities in the world.

Who are they?

They are dabbawalas, the lunch carriers in Mumbai, India. Kiran, an experienced dabbawala, is telling the story,"Our way of working is easy but useful. In the morning, we get lunch boxes at people's homes. Then we meet at the railway station(火车站)  to put them into different groups. We use colours, numbers and letters to help each other remember the customers' names and workplaces. We won't get it wrong even in our sleep!When in Mumbai, we send meals in a certain area. The streets can be busy. The weather can be bad. But the lunch will always be on time. We work hard to serve people. We get back their trust and respect. We feel proud(自豪的) of ourselves."

Animals in the Past

We can't see these animals, but they can teach us important lessons.
