In Guiyang, a new trend(潮流) called"color walks" encourages people to slow down and enjoy nature. Instead of walking in a hurry, people choose one color first and then look for it in parks, streets and riversides.  This small activity helps them find beautiful details in daily life. It is more than just taking photos.

A Day to Remember

This term,I had a special day.

When I studied at a school in Singapore, we had a special week in early April. It was called MAD Week. "MAD" stands for"music, art and drama (戏剧)". It was a week for students to have fun with the arts.

On the first day of MAD Week, we had to wear a hat to school. To my surprise, most students made creative hats with their own hands. Some girls teamed up and wore hats that looked like ice cream cones(蛋筒). One boy made a very tall hat. He could hardly keep it on his head! Another student made a hat with small toy animals on it. As for me,I used cardboard and leaves to make my hat colourful.

On that day,I also joined the"MAD Hat Parade(游行)".Groups of students and teachers held the parade around the school with their cool hats. We showed our hats to each other and took lots of pictures. I was so excited to see so many great ideas. At the end of the parade, teachers gave prizes(奖励) to the students with the creative hats.

I really enjoyed this"MAD Hat Day". It was not just about hats. It was a good way to make students love the arts.

The FIFA World Cup (国际足联世界杯) ,the world's biggest soccer tournament (比赛) , returns this summer.Sixteen  (city) in Canada, Mexico, and the UnitedStates will host(将举办) a total of 104 matches. The game starts on 11th June in Mexico City and ends with the (finally) match on July 19 in New Jersey.

Think about other reasons first.

There are many possible reasons why you may feel left out.  Or they may have their own problems. So don't think the worst (最糟糕的) right away.

Talk to another friend.

It helps to talk to a friend who is not in the problem. You can ask, "Do you also feel a distance(距离) from our friends?"If they say yes, you know you are not the only one. 

Tell your friends how you feel.

If it happens often, talk to your friends calmly (冷静地).You can say, "I feel left out, Can we talk?" If you are not sure what to say, ask a parent or teacher for help if needed. 

Be nice to yourself.

If your friends still leave you out, give yourself some time.. And that's totally OK. Share your feelings-with your family. Spend time with other true friends and focus your energy on them.

When I was 11 years old, I readTara Westover's Educated:A Memoir for the first time. However, I quickly became bored. The book tellsWestover's own story: She longed for knowledge(知识). But her father kept her out of school. With strong will, she taught herself to study.

At that time, I found the book was difficult to read, because I was too young to fully understand it. So I stopped reading before I finished reading it.

This year, my English teacher asked me to do a book report. The book came to my eyes. It gave me a different experience to read it again. This time, I could finally see the courage in Westover's pursuit(追求) of learning. Breaking free from her family's beliefs(信念) was not easy, but she did it.She even went on to go to college.

I realized that my own education(教育) changed the way.I read and understand. Reading this book didn't just teach me about Westover's life story. It also helped me see my own growth. I learned that education isn't just about learning knowledge. It also opens our eyes and hearts to understand more about life.

When we walk into a forest or sit by a lake, we may notice many beautiful sounds around us. These sounds are the music of nature.

In the morning, birds sing in the trees. Their singing wakes up the world. A small river flows (流动)  through the forest. Its water makes a soft and clear sound over the stones(石头) . When the wind rises, leaves rustle(沙沙响). Even rain joins this symphony. The raindrops tap (轻触) on the plants before reaching the wet ground.

Scientists found that nature sounds are good for our health.A recent study shows that listening to them for 15 minutes can help people relax and sleep better. However, not all natural sounds are helpful in the same way. Sudden loud noise, like thunder(雷声)  may scare us. Gentle and rhythmic (温和且有节奏的)  sounds, such as flowing water, work best for reducing stress(缓解压力).

If we take time to listen carefully, we will find that nature is full of wonderful sounds. They are not just noises. They are beautiful music that can touch our hearts.

An Unforgettable Experience

I still remember the summer day when I learned to ride a bike as an 8-year-old boy. It was more than just learning a new skill. To this day, that memory still guides me.

At first, I thought riding a bike was exciting but scary. My bike had training wheels(辅助轮) to help me keep balance. Once summer holiday, my father told me,"Training wheels are for little kids. You should ride without them."Then, my father removed the training wheels. At that moment, I was excited but afraid to ride a bike without wheels. To a small kid, riding without training wheels was a big challenge(纯战).

My father was very patient. He held the back of my bike sent and run beside me. He showed me bow to push the pedals(踩踏板) and turn. We practised for more than five hours. I fell down a few times. Slowly, I became confident(自信的) and could ride without falling.

Now if I am too afraid to try new things, I will think of that day. I learned a meaningful lesson: things that scare you at first can become great. You just need to take a brave step. This memory is more than a bike story. It teaches me to accept changes and trust myself when I try new things.

Once upon a time during the Jin Dynasty, there lived a man named Zu Ti. He had a dream to serve his country. , when he was young, he was very naughty(淘气的) and disliked learning anything. As he grew up, he  (make) up his mind to learn something useful to serve his country. He started to read and practise sword playing.

Zu Ti's friend Liu Kun had   dream to serve his country too, so they read and practised sword playing together. At night, they slept in the same bed. One early morning, while Zu Ti was sleeping, the rooster's crowing(公鸡的鸣叫) (sudden) woke him up. At first, he was angry, but soon got excited. He woke Liu Kun up.

The two  (friend) went out of the room and started practising sword. From then on, they got up as soon as they heard the crowing of the rooster. After years of hard work, they were good at sword playing. Later, they both became  (power) people in ancient China and succeeded in (realize) their dream to serve the country.
