Many studies show people who have more control over their own life are healthier, happier and more likely to have better social relationships（社交关系）. 

Teens can't make decisions as an adult. They are less likely to notice and plan for risk. They lack an adult's self-control skills. But they want to have full control over their life. 

So what should parents do？In fact, their right role as parents is that of coaches. As coaches, they do three things. 

Firstly, these parent-coaches always keep an eye out for what skills a teenager needs to build. They have many conversations with their kids to build skills. What went wrong there ？ How might that be different？What would you do if this event happened when you were out at night？

Secondly, these parent-coaches allow teens to experience the results of their poor decisions. If you don't finish your homework, you'll have to discuss that with your teacher yourself. If you can't do the housework today, you'll need to spend time doing it tomorrow. 

Thirdly, these parent-coaches take every chance to cheer for their teens. They will say "I love the way you did …" "Thanks so much for …" or "I love talking to you about …"

Coaching teens can be scary（恐怖的）, tiring and frustrating（令人沮丧的）. It's far easier to take over. But coaching leads to happier, better adaptable（有适应能力的） teens who are more prepared for adulthood. 

We all want to live comfortably and safely, so here are a few simple rules for residents. 

Rubbish—Rubbish collection is on Tuesdays. Please do not leave rubbish bags out before Tuesday as birds and animals can break into them and they smell terrible. 

Washing—There is a washing line for every flat in the garden next to the car park. Please only dry your washing on these lines so it does not disturb people in the ground floor flats. 

Cleaning—▲The main stairs are cleaned twice a week by the Association, so please try to keep them tidy and clean and do not leave furniture or bags on the stairs or in the hallways. 

Lights— The main lights are on a timer and they stay on for five minutes when you press them. Please tell the Association if any lights are not working. 

Noise— Residents are asked to keep noise to a minimum. Loud music, for example, can disturb other people and the Association will get in touch with you if you make too much noise. 

Safety— Make sure the main outside door is always locked and do not let anyone into the main building unless you know who they are. 

Parking— Each flat has one car parking space. These are numbered and are

Do you know where this photo comes from? Well, it (take) on Easter Island. The island is in the south of the Pacific, and it is very difficult  tourists to find its position. It is covered with (hundred) of huge stone statues. Each of them weighs several tons and some are more than 30 feet tall. , nobody knows who (build) these statues and why and how they got there. 

It seems  the statues have been made out of the top edge of the walls of a volcano(火山) on the island. A statue might have been rolled or dragged down to the foot of the volcano. Then, it was stood upright and ropes were tied around it, which was made (act) as a pulley(滑轮). Over a period of months, a statue could be walked for miles down to the ocean. In the end, it was placed in line with other statues, all of (they) looking towards the center of the island. 

Today, Easter Island (remain) one of the most famous historical places. It is like  open-air museum, showing a fascinating but unfortunately lost culture.
