March is the month to learn from Lei Feng in China. Lei Feng is probably one of the most famous Chinese soldier(士兵). He helped many people during his 22years of life. Even though he died over 60 years ago, the"Lei Feng spirit" still encourages Chinese people to do volunteer work. In 1963, Chairman Mao called on the nation to learn from Lei Feng, and March 5th of every year has been named as"Lei Feng Day".
During this month, a group of Malaysian(马来西亚的)students, studying at the Changsha Social Work College, volunteered to serve passengers at the Changsha Railway Station with their Chinese schoolmates. They carefully helped passengers get on the train safely and book tickets. They also provided waiting rooms for special passengers and solved problems for them.
"I was so excited when I was called a'living Lei Feng'! That was the highest praise(赞扬)for me as a volunteer!" said Lan Zhicong, the Chinese name of an international student from Malaysia. He learnt about Lei Feng's stories when he was in Malaysia. After coming to Changsha, Lei Feng's hometown, he became a" living Lei Feng" and continued the" Lei Feng stories" with his actions. "Volunteering is about giving, but I' ve gotten a lot, too, " he said.
This year, Changsha Social Work College held an activity called" Learn from Lei Feng in Lei Feng's hometown". Many volunteer teams of teachers and students did different volunteer jobs at stations, communities or schools to pass on the Lei Feng spirit.
In Changsha, everyone can be a" living Lei Feng". The students, like Lan Zhicong, truly enjoyed being volunteers. They realized helping others not only brings joy to people in need but also makes themselves happier. Let's all carry forward the Lei Feng spirit and make the world a better place.

Do you often see people who take pictures of food for more than 10 minutes before eating? There or more like there must be one or more li ke them in your social media(社交媒体). Whatever they choose to share, they share the (good) but the most unreal.
My friend Chen is such example. Every time we went to a restaurant, she would not eat anything all the dishes were on the table. Then, she would spend five minutes (put) these dishes in a wonderful way. During the meal, she was taking pictures while we (eat). After that, she would choose one of the (photo) and click the filter(滤镜)app.
Many people care too much about others' opinions and try hard (please)others. That's they are afraid to show their real life on the social media. Sometimes, what they are trying so hard to show off(炫耀)is often what they don't have in their real life. But this will not make any difference their real life, because they always follow the same old way of life. So being more confident(自信), accepting (them) and trying their best to be better are much more meaningful than beautifying their life on social media.

Some people ski down mountains. Others climb big rocks or take photos of dangerous animals.
Some people take risks simply because it makes them feel good. Psychologist(心理学家)Marvin says that this kind of explorers(探索者)are always looking for change and excitement. When people do something new or risky, a chemical(化学物质)in the brain creates a pleasant feeling.
For example, Mike Fay went on a dangerous 2, 000-mile special journey in central Africa. He worked to help save the wildlife there. Fay's journeys helped create 13 national parks.
For other people, such as extreme athletes(极限运动员), taking risks is part of their job. Sports psychologist Shane says extreme athletes see the world differently. Extreme athletes are different: they feel in control in dangerous situations. The danger can even help them. For example, skier Daron Rahlves says that being afraid makes him try harder to succeed.
Most of us are not extreme athletes or explorers. Some of us take social risks, such as speaking in front of a large group of people. Sometimes, we take risks of money, such as buying a house. And sometimes we take risks of jobs, such as leaving a job or starting a business. Most people take risks in some areas of life, but not in others. What kind of risk-taker are you?
A. However, we still take risks in our lives.

Do you know Chinese people ordered takeout(外卖)over 1, 000 years ago? In the Song Dynasty, even emperors(皇帝)enjoyed food delivery(快递)! Common people also ordered meals——restaurant workers shouted daily specials on streets, and deliverymen brought food to homes. A famous painting Along the River During the Qingming Festival(《清明上河图》)even shows a takeout worker carrying meals in a special wooden box!
Today, ordering food is easier than ever. With smart phones, we can get meals delivered in minutes. Over 60% of Chinese people order takeout twice a week. But experts said that depending too much on food delivery causes problems.
Many takeout dishes are unhealthy. To make food tasty, restaurants use too much oil, salt, or sugar. Another danger is unsafe ingredients. Reports show that some restaurants use expired(过期的)food, and even reuse leftovers to cut costs. Eating this kind of food could cause some serious sicknesses.
Takeout creates lots of trash. China produces over 6, 500 tons of takeout waste daily——mostly plastic(塑料的)boxes and bags. These take 500 years to break down(分解)! They pollute rivers and oceans, hurting animals every single day.
Ordering food seems cheap, but cooking at home saves more money. For example, the money of 30 takeout meals a month could buy enough rice to feed a family for months! Also, families who always order takeout miss the joy of cooking together.
Food delivery isn't all bad——it's helpful when we' re sick or busy. But using it every day is like the old saying:" Too much of a good thing can be harmful. " Let's learn from ancient people: they enjoyed takeout but still valued fresh, homemade meals. By cooking simple dishes with family, we protect our health, save money, and care for Earth——one meal at a time!

You get into bed after a long day and plan to spend a few minutes on your phone before sleeping. However, falling asleep isn't as easy as expected. What's wrong? Here is a study that may tell you the answer.
According to a new study, your phone may be the main problem. Researchers asked 85 kids aged 11 to 14 to wear body cameras for a week, starting from three hours before bedtime. A second camera was placed in their bedrooms to monitor their phone use in bed. The kids also wore a device(设备)to record their sleep.
Researchers found that 99% of the kids used their phones in the two hours before bed, over half used their phones while in bed, and about a third used them after trying to sleep. The results showed that screen time in bed put off kids' sleep by about half an hour and cut down on their total sleep time. The influence(影响)was larger when they played games or used more than one screen.
"While the science guidebooks advise that no screen time in an hour or two before bed, keeping phones out of the bedroom might help you get a better night's sleep, " said the lead researcher, Bradley Brosnan.
Now from the meaningful study, teenagers should come to know that your phone can make it difficult for you to fall asleep, so why don't you put down your phone before going to bed or keep away from it so that you can get a sound sleep? It's really a must for wise kids today.
