I'm Zhang Fengxia.I'm  Jilin.This summer holiday,I went to Qingdao with (I) brother,Zhang Yan.The trip to Qingdao is very (interest).Let me tell you about it. 

Qingdao is in the east of China.The beach(沙滩) there is very beautiful.We (swim) in the sea and played games on the beach.We had  good time.And I made a new friend there.His name is Jack.He's from England.He and I both (like) basketball.We can't play basketball together, we can talk about basketball.And he said he could help (I) with English.He also wanted to ask me (help) him with Chinese.So he and I became (friend). 

What a good boy! When I think of him,I am very happy.

There was once a rich man.He loved his little boy very much.He tried his best to make his son happy.So he gave him a horse to ride,beautiful rooms to live in,pictures,books,toys and everything that money could buy.But the little boy was still unhappy and wore a frown(皱眉) wherever he went.He always asked his father for something he did not have.The man was worried about his son.

One day,a magician(魔术师) came to the man and said to him, "I can make your son happy and turn his frowns into smiles."

"All right," said the man."I'll give you a great price if you help me." The magician refused the pay and took the boy into a secret room.He wrote something on a piece of paper,and then gave it to the boy.There on the paper came his words, "Do one good thing for someone every day." The boy followed the advice and became one of the happiest boys.

If we do good things for others,we will be truly happy.

Mr Brown is 75 years old.He lives in a village(村庄).Mr Brown has three sons:David,Jeff and Stefan.They have jobs in big cities.And they don't come to see Mr Brown very often.

The sons feel sorry for their father,so they build a big house for Mr Brown.And they give him a lot of money.But Mr Brown isn't happy about it.He always feels lonely because no one is with him.

There is a school next to Mr Brown's house.Some students often come and visit Mr Brown.Mr Brown is happy to see them.

Before Mr Brown dies(死亡),he wants to give his house and money to the school.He says,"I don't want money.I want love.And the students give it to me.Love is not money.Love is company(陪伴)."

It was a cleaning day.John's mum noticed(注意到) an old chair of John's grandpa.

"John,come and help me to throw it away(扔掉)," John's mum said."The rubbish truck(垃圾车) will come to     ▲     tomorrow." 

When they tried to move the chair,John's grandpa cried."No! You can't!" "But it's so old," John's mum replied(回复)."No," he said,trying to get his chair back.

"Grandpa,why won't you let us throw the chair?" John asked.His grandpa said,"I sat in this chair with your grandma when I asked her to marry me.And I sat in this chair when your grandma was badly ill.I was very sad,but the chair gave me comfort(安慰)." His voice changed when he thought of that unlucky day.

John said,"It is more like a friend." "Yes," he nodded.

However,John's parents carried the chair outside that night.The next morning,John heard the sound of the rubbish truck.He quickly ran downstairs and found the truck was going to pull it away.

"Wait! Stop!" John shouted(呼喊) and rushed outside.The big noises from the truck suddenly stopped.He then ran back inside and cried,"Mum,you can't throw out Grandpa's chair.It is like a true friend of him!"

Hearing this,John's mum ran outside and carried the chair back with John.
