Last month I went to Peru with my parents. We flew to Cusco. One weekend we took a train to visit Machu Picchu. Machu Picchu remains an ancient Inca city. It is on the top of a mountain that overlooks the Urubamba River. It is more than 7, 000 feet above sea level!

How did we get up that high? We could have hiked the Inca Trail(印加古道) for about 4days. Instead, we decided to ride the train. It took only a few hours. Our guide was a man from the local area. Not only did he provide information about the area, but also he worked as our interpreter. Some of the people of Peru speak Quechua, which of course we don't understand. 

As we rode the train, our guide pointed out unknown plants which grow near the floor of the rainforest. And I could hardly imagine trying to get through it back in 1911. That was when Hiram Bingham, the man who searched for the city, started his expedition(探险). We also learnt about the animals. There are some dangerous snakes that live there. One bite can kill a person. It must have been quite a journey that Bingham took!

We saw where the people lived, where they worshipped(敬奉) and where they farmed. The history is fantastic!

Roses usually stand for love. We will give red roses to our friends who help us in our (日常) life. When we make some (错误), our friends usually give us a hand instead of (笑) at us. Thanks to their (善举), we can overcome some (困难). White roses are given to our teachers who teach us that there is no (成功) without effort. Our teachers usually (鼓励)us to try our best to study and never give up (无论什么) we meet. Yellow roses are used to thank our parents. They often teach us that love is about trust. We all have our own (记忆) about the happiness of our life, and the people (……的人) we want to thank for. Roses are a good way to express our thanks.

At the age of forty-five, my well-ordered life became full of changes. After twenty-two years of working in a 1 , a plan to use fewer staff(员工) led to the unemployment(失业) of over one hundred people, and I was one of them. 

Suddenly my once secure(稳妥的) future became 2 . Luckily, I was not a single parent, 3 the family did not depend only on my income(收入), My thought has always been "Change is good, change is progress. " But when it 4 my life, I had to change it too. From the beginning, I chose not to look at this matter as bad luck, but as a 5 chance. I refused to become sorry, instead, I 6 planned to do something new and different.

Dear students, 

You will graduate from your school soon. At this special moment, I'd like to say something helpful to all of you. Never  to be thankful to your parents, your teachers and your friends. They are   of all the people around you. The life of senior high school is on the way. Maybe you' ll make a lot of mistakes along the way. However, along with many , there will also be many exciting things waiting for you. Choose , _and    be responsible for your decisions and actions.  you have to go your separate ways now, I hope that in a few years, you' ll come back to visit our school.
