①Most of us know someone who is always late—a person who seems to be unable to understand how important being on time is. It can become a source of jokes among friends, but in another situation it can have serious and stressful results.

②There could be different reasons why you' re always late. Maybe you are not very careful about time, or you could just be really relaxed. This might have something to do with the way you were raised—perhaps you learned from your parents to have a relaxed attitude（态度）towards time. It can also be connected with your culture. For example, in some countries like Brazil, people are usually much more relaxed than those in America.

⑤If these reasons sound true to you, you can start to work on them. One simple, powerful step you can take is not to just be on time, but to be early. Get into the habit of thinking about how long it' ll really take to get somewhere, then add on plenty of buffer（缓冲时间）—say, 15 minutes. If you don't like the idea of hanging around, think about how you' ll spend the waiting time—read a book, play online chess or get stuck into a language-learning app, for example.

More than 10 years ago, Australian man James Wood couldn't have imagined the life that he has today: living with his Chinese wife and daughter in east China's Fujian Province, working as an information technology teacher at an international school in Fuzhou,

James became interested in Chinese culture at a young age. As a child, he watched The Monkey King and was amazed at pictures of the Great Wall. About 10 years ago, he met his wife. Then he made his first visit to China in 2015 to attend the wedding of his wife's sister. He said his first impressions (印象) of China were a mix of shock and wonder, because China was so different from the place he called home. After three years, he moved to China and stayed there for a year. And since then, he has grown to love China and call China his home.

Wood said the best way to tell Westerners about the real China is through direct, personal experience. While travel, cultural exchanges and business chances can help people see for themselves what life is really like here, social media (媒体) and online platforms also offer ways for people to share their own stories and views.

With this in mind, he has loved to use social media to offer his own experiences and opinions on China. On X, he shared his latest article titled China Unveiled: How Moving East Shattered My Western Illusions. He has also often posted videos for his"Living China"series.

As a result of his efforts, some of his friends and family have become more interested and open-minded about China. However, some others are still not sure whether they should go when he suggests they visit and see for themselves."It's hard to break those mental barriers (心理障碍), but I'm working on it,"he said.

When you think of creativity, what comes to your mind? Maybe you remember painting a picture or listening to a special piece  music. At some point, at least one of your (teacher) probably said something like"Let's be creative!". Then, it was up to you to decide how (work) on a task. What makes creative projects (true) special is that, in the end, each of (you) classmates creates something unique (独一无二的). 

Everyone can be creative! , people are different in how often and how much they express their creativity in their lives. So, you might enjoy being creative when singing, while someone else shows creativity when doing sports. But  exactly does it mean to be creative?

Researchers (start) dealing with this question about 70 years ago. When people do not know how to solve  problem, they are challenged to think outside the box. This means to consider in new ways and try different methods to solve problems. The Latin word for this process is create which, in English, means to create something new or to make something (value).

Ocean pollution has become a serious problem around the world. A German team created an AI-powered robot called Smart Grapple to  this problem. 

The robot has four"fingers". It can lift very heavy things  the sea. Trained with thousands of , it can tell waste apart from natural things. The robot is attached（连接）to a boat which can  power for it and carry the collected waste to coast. 

This robot is part of a big EU project named SeaClear 2. 0, which aims to  the ocean by 2033. Although it is not a final solution, these robots can be very  in polluted areas. 

'Joe' is Joe Hoagland, who was three years old when the story began. And'Fonzie' is a 3-metre-long, 275 kilogram dolphin. 

When Joe was born in New York, he had a 1 with his heart and doctors had to operate（动手术）on him. When he was three, he had another operation.

How to Have Good Mental Health

Most people know the importance of a healthy body, but many pay no attention to mental health. Good men tal health makes life more enjoyable and helps your body stay healthy too. Here are some ways to take care of both your body and mind. 

 In difficult times, focus on your good qualities. If you think, "What if something terrible happens?" You can remind yourself of past successes. Say to yourself, "I have overcome hard times before. I trust my ability to handle whatever comes my way. " Believing in yourself can give you strength to move forward. 

Exercise your body. When you are under stress, your brain produces hormones（荷尔蒙） that tell the body to prepare to respond（回应）to a risk. Too much stress can harm your mental health.  You can try running, swimming or playing basketball. Even a short walk can help clear your mind and lift your mood. . 

Get enough sleep. Sleep is a time for your body to repair and process the stress from the day.  A good night's sleep can make you feel refreshed and ready for a new day. Without enough sleep, you may easily feel worried or upset. 

Build healthy relationships. Social support is important during difficult times. Friends, family, and classmates can all offer emotional（情感的）support and help with stressful life events.

Old people in a care home in England have been making tiny sweaters to help penguins that are saved from oil spills（泄漏）in the sea. These oil spills happen when oil gets into the sea from ships, and they can cause great harm to the penguins. 

Penguins produce a special liquid（液体）to make their feathers（羽毛）stay dry in water, which helps to keep them warm. The birds spread this liquid over their feathers so that the feathers can stay smooth. This process is called preening. Penguins spend around three hours preening every day. 

However, when the oil from the spill gets onto their feathers, it makes the feathers stick together. As a result, the penguins can no longer stay dry or warm. Their skin is open to the cold water, and they are left cold, heavy, and unable to swim or find food. Worse still, when they try to clean their feathers, they take in the oil, which can make them sick and can even kill them. 

To clean them up, helpers need to wash oiled birds several times with dishwashing liquid. But when the penguins first arrive, they are often too weak and afraid to be washed right away—they have to rest first. Usually, helpers put the special sweaters, which are made by the old people, onto the penguins. These sweaters keep the penguins warm and stop them from cleaning their feathers, so they do not eat the oil. 

People around the world have been making such sweaters that are used to save penguins for over 20 years. For example, 438 little penguins in Australia were in an oil accident in 2001, and 96% of them were saved because of these sweaters. The Penguin Foundation charity is now well-prepared for a future oil spill. "We thank the hundreds and thousands of people who used their skills to help protect the 40, 000 little penguins. " they said. 

In today's digital (数字) world, privacy (隐私) is very important, especially for teens using social media. When teens post and share online, they leave behind a digital footprint (足迹) that can stay for a long time. 

Digital footprints can be divided into two types. One is active: information you choose to share, like posts and photos. The other is passive (被动的): information collected without you knowing it, like websites record your visits or apps that collect your position. Both types matter because all these footprints are not easy to take away completely. That is why it is important for teens to develop safe online habits. Here are some tips. 

Use privacy settings. This is the first line of protection. Teens should manage who can see their posts and personal pages, and only accept connections from people they know. Also, teens should avoid sharing too much personal information. Even small details, like their school names or vacation plans, can be misused by strangers or bring unwanted attention. 

Another thing to keep in mind is to be careful with public Wi-Fi. Public Wi-Fi in coffee shops or libraries is easy to use but often not safe. Teens should not visit their private information on it without protection. Respect digital manners. Teens should treat others with respect and think before posting, especially when angry or upset. Good digital manners help prevent harm to others and also protect teens themselves. 

By understanding privacy risks, managing personal information carefully, and developing safe online habits, teens can protect themselves better. 

Yan Hongsen, who is known as"rocket boy", is a 13-year-old student in Shaoxing, Zhejiang Province. 

He has been a big fan of space science since he was taken by his father to see a rocket. The experience completely inspired his love for rockets. He has been learning about them ever since and even got the chance to give his classmates a lesson about space science at an opening ceremony for the school. 

During the summer break in 2022, Yan got popular online after his father posted a video in which he pointed out that a rocket was wrongly named in an educational video shown to visitors at a planetarium（天文馆）in Lhasa, Xizang. The planetarium immediately corrected several mistakes in the video and thanked Yan. 

In the same year, he met Zhang Yuhua, a key player in China's main achievement s in space exploration（探索）. Inspired by Zhang, Yan made up his mind to build his own rocket. From August 2022 to June 2023, he spent 10 months researching, studying and doing experiments, finally creating his first rocket. 

"That rocket only travelled 200 metres and then started to fall, " Yan's father recalled. That day, Yan was excited, yet unsatisfied. He researched where he went wrong and then made important changes when he started to build the second rocket in October 2023. 

Though Yan has the pressure of schoolwork, his father believes that parents should leave more space for children to realize their dreams. According to his father, Yan will continue his study on rocket building.
