As we spend more time on touchscreens, digital devices (数码设备) are not just changing our habits, but also changing our skills, especially in kids. Chloe Han is a teacher who works with young children. She has noticed that kids' physical abilities are getting worse because they spend too much time on screens. 

 But many experts are worried that too much screen time is hurting kids' fine motor skills. 

Fine motor skills are the small movements we make with our hands and fingers.  Normally, children develop these skills by doing hands-on activities like playing with toys and making arts works. But now, kids often play more on screens than with their hands, leading to weaker fine motor skills. 

 They don't help develop the finger movements and hand-eye coordination (协调) that hands-on play provides. Less physical playtime means that children have fewer chances to build these important skills naturally. 

 More children are in need of help with their fine motor skills for school and activities. Some are even hard to hold a pencil or zip up their jackets. 

But there's good news.  Fun activities like drawing and building with Lego improve their hand-eye coordination. These activities also improve the skills that can help children do better during playground activities. 

Finding a better way between screen time and physical play helps kids develop strong fine motor skills while still enjoying the technology.

Beautiful Jinghu Lake

The giant crab isn't like the crabs you may have seen at the beach. These giant crabs are usually about eight feet across, although some grow to almost  that size! Giant spider crabs, which are the biggest kind of crab in Japan, have long legs like a spider. Each leg can make several pounds of crab meat, and the giant spider crabs makes a very  meal. People who fish need traps to catch them because they are so big. They have to  the crabs to special frames and drag them back to store. 

I got out off the car,  a gate and walked along a dark path. 

Luck has been with me for five years. We are like brothers. As you already know, there are a lot of forest fires during the summer season. Many forests are badly burnt by fire each year. 

This hot summer, not far from our house, a forest caught fire. It was in July and a heat wave had been going on for three days. Luck rushed towards the forest because of the burning heat. There was no longer any hope at that moment to wait for Luck to come back. Suddenly, a fireman ran into my house and told me that my dog Luck succeeded in saving four cats that were caught in the fire. According to the fireman, Luck caught the cats, moving them one by one into a safe place. 

I ran out of the house and went with the firemen to the forest to pick up the saved cats. When we arrived, Luck was not there. Then we heard the sound of a dog coming from the forest barking (犬吠). I knew it was the sound of my dog Luck. The firemen followed the tracks (踪迹) of the dog until they found him barking loudly by the side of a hurt fireman who was hopelessly lying on the ground and waiting for someone to save him. 

Thanks to Luck, four cats and a fireman were saved. That day, I was very proud of Luck for his two heroic actions. 

Later I paid a visit to the fireman in his house with my lovely Luck. It was such a memorable scene when the fireman held Luck close to his chest! "One thousand thanks, Luck, for saving my life, " the fireman said. 

We students need homework to find our weaknesses and get improved. But do you really find proper ways to finish your homework more efficiently? 

Write down things you need to finish.Use a notebook to make a list and just finish your tasks. As you complete each task, cross it off on your list. 

You can improve your attention by creating the best environment for homework. Find a comfortable chair and table to work at. At the same time, put phones and other things that may distract (使分心) you away. 

Make a homework timetable.If you set a schedule, then you'll be prepared and know exactly what to do. This will keep you from feeling sorry about putting homework off. 

Form a learning group.Doing homework can be more fun if you do it in a group. A learning group can also be helpful if you face a very hard subject, because knowledgeable friends may be able to help you solve the challenging problem. 

Ask for feedback (反馈).To be really successful at homework, you need to know how to improve it. Even if your teachers are satisfied with what you've handed in, ask them how you could do better. .

Tanghulu is a famous snack from the north of China. Bright red haws line up on a stick. Their candy coating (糖衣) is glimmering in the light like glass balls. Haws are sour, but they taste amazing with the candy coating. Because tanghulu looks pretty and tastes great, it is becoming more and more popular in the world. 

It's true that more and more Chinese special food and snacks are loved by the world now.
