Collin is new at Portland High School. It is true that he doesn't know anyone else there.

He doesn't know the way around the building and often gets lost (迷路) easily, and it makes him late for one of his classes. When he is running to class, he falls and some of his things fall out of his schoolbag.

    Have you heard of Chinese pangolins (甲)? They live in the south of the Yangtze River in China. They have hard scales(鳞甲). They can help protect trees in the forest.
    But they are in danger now. Experts said that Chinese pangolins are facing the biggest problem that they can't give birth to baby pangolins in the wild. They can hardly live in the wild because of different reasons. And they no longer play an important role in the wild.
    According to a national wildlife research, there were 60,000 Chinese pangolins in different places, including Yunnan and Zhejiang, in the 1990s. Since then, this number has gone down by 90 percent because of poachers(偷猎者).
    Why do people kill(杀死) pangolins? Because they want to get pangolins' scales and meat. People use their scales in traditional Chinese medicine. And it's believed that their meat is good for people's health.
    What's more, Chinese pangolins are losing their homes because of pollution and reduction of forests.
    Nowadays, the government has already done something to protect them. They are protected the same level as giant pandas. This means people would not be able to sell or use pangolin products. If people do this, they will be punished.

At the end of Islington Road in Newton， Massachusetts lives a little girl. The girl's name is Alice. Four⁃year⁃old Alice is deaf，  she loves to communicate with people. 

"She is lively. She  to talk with anybody，" said her father， Raphael. "Her character changes when someone can communicate with  ， " said her mother， Glenda. 

    To communicate with the  girl is not something easy. However， the whole neighborhood learns sign language (手语)—just for the little girl. On their own， Alice's neighbors get together， and find a teacher to  them sign language. The teacher， Rhys McGovern， says this is amazing because usually even the parents  deaf children won't learn sign language. "But here Alice can communicate with all her  ， " said Rhys.

Alice's  is really hard to forget. This story tells us that good neighbors make a good neighborhood. 

Most kids hate doing housework.  If you need your kids to help you do chores， take a look at some of the creative ways in this article.

You can stop the spreading of stomach flu by washing your hands often. Use hot water and soap to wash carefully for some time. Hand sanitizer (洗手液) is not very useful against stomach flu， because it mostly kills bacteria (细菌)， not viruses. 

    It is difficult to kill the virus causing stomach flu. We can't wash the virus away with common cleaners. So mix bleach(漂白剂) with water， and use that to clean your house. Many viruses can live in the washing machine. So wash clothes with hot water and use bleach， if possible. Dishwashers are better at killing viruses. That's because they keep the dishes hot for longer. 

If you get the stomach flu， drink as much water as possible. When you feel better， don't return to work or school right away. You can still spread the disease for a few days after you feel better. 

Stomach flu is terrible， but by following the advice above， you can keep away from it. 

We have three children who are very lovely and hard⁃working. They bring us a lot of happiness(幸福). Last week， our little boy came up to his mother one evening while she was cooking supper， and handed her a piece of paper with some words written on it. And this is what it said:
