One day, I saw my grandma doing paper-cutting. She made many beautiful and animals with red paper. I asked if (是否) she could teach me, and she happily. 

At first, I was  because it was hard for me to hold one scissors and follow the lines. But my grandma was patient. She showed me  to cut slowly. She also showed me some easy examples to . 

Through my practice, my skills of doing paper-cutting got . I started to understand how so make my own designs (设计). Soon, my room was full of colourful works, and I was so proud of myself. And then I chose the best one for my grandma and gave it to  as a birthday present. My grandma was so excited when she the gift. 

Doing paper-cutting becomes my favourite . It is interesting and exciting. I never knew paper-cutting was so wonderful. It always brings me . Now I'm in a paper-cutting club and I hope to meet more friends with the same love.

Hello! My name is Mark. I live in an old and small town. It has a history of over 200 years. There's a square in the town centre. Every year, there is a music festival in the square. It's great, and many people come to the festival.

On the square, there's a museum. A lot of old photos of the town are in it. People can learn about the history of the town from them. There are some restaurants on the square. They sell delicious food at very good prices. There is also a supermarket, a bookshop and an Art Club on the square. The bookshop is between the supermarket and the museum. The Art Club is next to the museum and my father works in it.

Next to the square, there is a park. Across from the park, there is a big hotel. It's the best hotel in the town.

I love my town. I know every place here. I hope it can be better and better.

When you're bored, you may watch short videos (视频). But a new study says this will make you feel even more bored. 

Scientists from the University of Toronto Scarborough (多伦多士嘉堡) in Canada did an experiment (实验). They asked 159 people to take part in it. Scientists made the experiment into two parts, Part 1 and Part 2. 

In Part 1, people watched s 10-minute video. They had to watch it until the end. In Part 2, they could choose so seven short videos. Each short video was five minutes long. They had 10 minutes to watch these short videos. They could skip (跳过) parts between the videos. 

After they finished Part 2, the scientists asked the people how they felt during the experiment. Everyone liked the first part better than the second part. 

Why did this happen? Being bored relates to(与…有关)attention. If we focus on a video, we won't feel so bored. So, it's better to watch a video carefully. Don't skip videos too fast.

One morning, I saw an advertisement for Shackleton's Antarctic expedition (南极探险). It was my dream adventure(冒险).  But Shackleton refused me because I was too young. I secretly hid on his ship named Endurance and was discovered three days later. Luckily, he let me stay and now I work as a cook. I am so excited to finally join my dream adventure.

Above are some of Blackborow's diary entries. Finally they were all saved. They were full of joy and relief. Their trust in Shackleton had kept them alive, and he kept his promise to save all the people. It was such an unusual and unforgettable experience in their life.

Are you interested in kuaiban? The clapper beat is used in theatre shows as well as in teaching school children rhymes and verse(韵文).

To introduce the historical situation, Lao She used shulaibao in his famous play Teahouse.Shulaibao is a traditional art form of rhythmic storytelling and it was usually performed by street performers. Over time, it grew into a popular art form and gave rise to another performing art called kuaiban.

Kuaiban can be performed by one person alone, in pairs or in groups. The works include history,artworks and everyday life. Some pieces are very short, with just a few lines while others can last ten to fifteen minutes. There are even performances similar to pingshu, which can be told over several days.

Performers usually stand while performing kuaiban, using a set of clappers to create strong rhythms. Generally, the larger clapper, made up of two bamboo pieces, is held in the right hand,while the smaller one, with five pieces, is held in the left hand. With slight changes in hand position,actors are able to produce all kinds  of sounds. They also use humorous facial expressions and movements of hands to draw people's attention.

For many young Chinese, kuaiban is just another tradition lost to pop culture. However, many kuaiban artists are working hard to develop the art form in different ways. Among them is Mr Zhao,an inheritor (传承人) from Hebei Province. Based on local stories, he has created many new and meaningful works. To spread the culture, he has also given free training classes and taught kuaiban skills through live streaming. Thanks to Zhao and other performers, kuaiban is still shining brightly and will continue to be successful in the future.

Did you know that horses use more than 800 different facial expressions to communicate? Like humans, horses are highly social animals. They don't use words, but they do"talk" a lot.They show their feelings through their faces. If you learn to"read" a horse, you can often tell how it feels.

Let's start with the ears. A horse's ears are like little mood antennas(天线). When they hold flat back, it can mean"I'm angry" or"Back off". If they rest to the side, the horse is usually happy and relaxed.

 If a horse looks at you with big, wide eyes, it is probably scared. Perhaps it hears a sudden sound or sees something unfamiliar. Sometimes you can even see more of the white part of its eyes. That's a common sign of fear. That's when it feels safe.

You might think this is easy. But reading a horse's facial expressions means thinking like a horse. A big toothy smile means happiness for humans.

So how do we get along with horses? Just put yourself in their shoes. It is not easy, but at least you can start with one simple rule—— move calmly, speak softly, and give them enough space.

Meet NEO: The Housekeeper of the Future

Are you tired of doing ? Imagine a life without folding clothes or carrying heavy bags. That life is here with NEO. NEO is the first"humanoid"robot for home use

NEO  to fit into your house. It looks just like a human. It stands 1.6meters tall and  only 30 kilograms. Because it is shaped like a person, it can work with you like a friend. For example, it can carry heavy shopping bags home together with you.

NEO is smart and helpful. It can clean surfaces and do most of the housework. It can even make simple  with guests at the door. What's more, it's easy to control because NEO uses modernAI and  voice orders. You can say,"NEO, clean the table." The robot hears your voice and then does it right away.

The robot is light but  than other home robots. It can lift up to 70 kilograms when it stands still. While walking, it can easily carry 25 kilograms. Also, it can power . When the battery(电池) is low, it will go to the charger(充电设备).

You might think such a strong machine would be loud. But NEO works . It makes only22 decibels(分贝) of sound. This is as quiet as a fridge.

The price of this smart technology is high so many people can'tit. Some people don't want to pay in full at once so they choose to pay . They think this invention could bring great convenience to them and it is a big step toward a smarter and easier lifestyle.

Can you guess where I am? I'm in China's Tiangong Space Station, about400 kilometers above Earth! I'm not alone, though. I share my tiny"apartment"with two males and another female.

Six Chinese astronauts take turns caring for us. Three of them-Zhang Lu,Wu Fei and Zhang Hongzhang-came up with us. Last night, we excitedly boarded the Shenzhou-21 spacecraft. The trip took just a little over three hours, and it was surprisingly smooth. As far as Iknow, this is already China's 16th crewed spaceflight. However, for us mice, it's a whole new world!

The astronauts taught me some scientific knowledge here. That's so amazing! In the  1600s,Isaac Newton discovered that gravity (重力) depends on mass (质量) and distance. Bigger objects,like the sun, pull harder, and the further the object is from Earth, the lesser is the pull of gravity.However, the mass of an object remains the same. Also, the gravitational potential energy (重力势能)of an object depends on its mass and its height from the ground. When two objects have the same mass, the object that is at a greater height has more gravitational potential energy. However, if the two objects are at the same height, the object with a greater mass has more gravitational potential energy.

Now, I'm aboard Tiangong, I plan to make every minute count. We' ll stay here for about a week. After that, we' ll fly back to Earth. Scientists will then study how our bodies may have changed.
