Last year，I had a great summer holiday. As a teenage girl，I was so excited to travel abroad for the first time. My family and I got onto a plane and flew to Vancouver. 

It was our first visit to Canada. We got up very early almost every day. We did lots of fun and interesting things. On our first day，we visited the Stanley Park and the Vancouver Art Gallery. Later in the first week，we visited some museums and then got on a special boat to watch whales（鲸）. What an unforgettable week!I really enjoyed myself. I also took lots of photos. But we didn't swim in the sea because the water was too cold. Of course，we also visited my uncle. He lives in Vancouver. One evening，we had a party at his house. Finally，we stayed there for two weeks. Before we left Vancouver，we went shopping and bought lots of souvenirs（纪念品） for our friends.

Chongqing is a really cool city in China，and the people here are great. People in Chongqing are nice and honest. 

In their daily life，they do lots of fun things. After a day's work，you can see many people in the local parks. They like walking，talking with friends，or just sitting around to enjoy the fresh air. Old people often play Chinese chess together. They laugh and talk about their life. Young people may go jogging or play badminton（羽毛球） to keep them healthy. 

Food is very important to Chongqing people. They really love hot pot. Everyone likes the spicy taste of hot pot. Families and friends often go to hot pot restaurants. They sit around the table and cook all kinds of food like meat，vegetables，and mushrooms（蘑菇） in the pot. You can hear people talking and laughing in the restaurant. 

On weekends，people in Chongqing always have a good time. Some families choose to go to the countryside to enjoy nature. They might have a picnic，breathe in the fresh air，and relax away from the busy city. Others like to go shopping in the big malls. The malls are full of people looking for new clothes，cool things，or just having fun. 

People in Chongqing really know how to enjoy life. They love their city and their life. 

Do you love taking a trip to the beach（海滩）？Going traveling is exciting but safety should always come first. Here are some tips for you to keep yourself safe during the beach trip. 

Stay with your parents. Once there was a little boy playing with water on the beach. He left his parents to look for shells（贝壳） and forgot the time. In the end，he couldn't find his parents. What a bad thing!

Be careful with swimming. If you go to the beach for the first time，ask others or check online to make sure it's OK to swim there before you go swimming in the sea. Don't swim alone. It is not safe. And when swimming in the sea，you should always wear a life jacket（救生衣）. 

Watch out（小心） for things in the water. When something on the beach or in the sea bites（咬） you，you should go to see a doctor at once.

When I finished primary school last summer, my family and I took  trip to four cities in the south of China.

First, we came to Nanjing by plane. It took us an hour and a half to fly there. We arrived in Nanjing in the morning.  11:30, we went to a restaurant to have lunch. The food tasted delicious. In the afternoon, we went to Zhongshanling. We heard a lot of(story).

The next day, we came to Suzhou to visit Zhouzhuang. It is an old place. It (have) a history of about 900 years.The houses there are along the river. People always wash  (they) clothes near the river and the river is still clear.

On the (three) day, we came to Hangzhou, and we visited the West Lake. It was very beautiful, and we saw fish swimming in the water. As we all know, Hangzhou is famous for silk and tea, so we (buy) some beautiful silk and nice tea.

On the last day, we visited Shanghai. We watched cars coming and going all day long. It was a  (real) busy city in China. The night view(景色) in Shanghai was hard to forget. Everything (be) excellent. We visited the TV tower.You could see the city from the high tower. This trip took us four days  we went back home by train.

There are different kinds of jobs in the world. Different people (choose) different jobs, for example doctors,writers, workers and so on. As for me,I'd like (become) a teacher. I have three  (reason).

Yunnan is famous for its wild mushrooms (野生菌). The forests here grow more than 800 kinds of mushrooms. Many people usually go to pick them from June to August when the weather is warm and rainy.

Mushrooms are very important for the forest. They help make the old leaves and branches into small pieces. This makes the soil (土壤) healthy for new plants. Some mushrooms even help trees grow better. They give food to the trees in the ground. If there are no mushrooms, the forest will not be so green and beautiful.

People in Yunnan have picked mushrooms for many years. Grandparents teach their grandchildren which mushrooms are safe to eat. The most popular ones are: Jianshouqing (good for soup),  Chicken mushrooms(taste like meat) and Matsutake(松茸菌) (very expensive).

But some mushrooms are dangerous. The Death Cap looks nice but can kill people. Others may just make you sick. Remember these safety rules:

★Never eat mushrooms you don' t know.

★Always cook mushrooms well.

★Ask experienced pickers for help.

Many families pick and sell mushrooms to make money. Some special types like Matsutake are sold to other countries. Also, people learn how to pick mushrooms safely and take care of the forest.

In the centre (中心) of Beijing is the Palace Museum. It was once the palace of some emperors in ancient China. With wonderful buildings and art treasures(珍宝) inside, it' s well worth (值得的) a visit.

Next to the Palace Museum is Tian' anmen Square. Many visitors like to come early in the morning to watch the raising of the national flag(旗).

If you want to know more about traditional Beijing life, why not visit a siheyuan? It's a group of four traditional Chinese houses in a square. There' s a house on each side and a courtyard (庭院) in the middle. There are hutong between the siheyuan. You can get a taste of the past by walking through the hutong.

Feeling hungry? Try some delicious Beijing duck. You' ll love it! At night,  remember to enjoyBeijing opera (京剧) at one of the local theatres (剧院). It' s wonderful. Don' t miss it!
