The Wan brothers' work has influenced many animators and filmmakers. Their films are still studied today.Havoc in Heaven especially inspired Chinese animators in the 1950s and 1960s. Without these four brothers from Nanjing, Chinese animation would not be what it is today.

Guizhou, a mountainous province in China, is working to become a world-class place for tourism. It is using its natural beauty, rich culture, and better transport to attract visitors.

The province is famous for its green mountains and clean air. Its forest coverage(覆盖率) is high, and the air quality is good most of the year. In summer, the weather is cool and pleasant, which makes it a popular escape (避暑胜地).

With its natural wonders, cultural treasures, and improved services, Guizhou is changing. It is no longer just a place people pass through, but a destination where they stay longer, explore more deeply and return more often.

Sanxingdui is an amazing museum in Guanghan, Sichuan. People  it in the 1920s, but people still don't know  about it!

This ancient city is about 3,000—5,000 years old. There are many  things in the museum. You can see some masks with strange eyes and ears much  than normal ones. They look like aliens (外星人)! You can  see a golden staff (杖). Maybe those  used it for special activities. There is also a 4-metre bronze (青铜) tree with birds and dragons. It  fantastic.

Scientists think ancient Shu people were very creative. Their art is different from other Chinese  works. I'm curious about their story. I often wonder how they made beautiful works  modern tools. Sanxingdui Museum shows us that ancient China was  of surprises! Are you looking forward to the trip to Sanxingdui?

The natural world gives plenty of helpful lessons for life. Whether looking at the ocean or sitting under a big oak tree, we can find comfort and strength from simply watching nature do its thing.

"Even resting your hand on one of these ancient trees feels like you are giving over your cares to a great old friend," writes Isabel Hardman, writer of The Natural Health Service.

She is not alone. Research by Professor (专家) Miles Richardson shows that when people spend time in nature and feel closely connected to trees, they experience greater happiness and lower levels of anxiety, stress, and sadness. In his research, Richardson asked people to write down three good things that happened in daily lives or those that happened in nature every day for one week. The results showed that both tasks improved life happiness. However, when people wrote about nature, they felt more connected to others and the natural world, and also felt more thankful and encouraged.

There are positive wider influences too. Feeling more connected to nature can lead to green behaviour — people were more likely to protect nature. For example, they may plant trees, reuse more, or use less plastic.

"Next time you walk through your school, take a moment to notice the trees," says Richardson. "Their presence, different kinds and beauty might be doing more for your mental health (心理健康) than you realise. Connection doesn't require wilderness — just paying notice to the life around us."

On October 17, 2025, Liu Yukun, one of the Olympic champions, broke his own world record by 1.2 points to win the men's 50m rifle three positions (步枪三姿) title at the 15th National Games (全运会) of China. The 28-year-old shooter scored an amazing 470.1 points in the final. This was his second gold medal at the Games.

Liu began to learn shooting in 2014 and joined the Shaanxi shooting team. He practiced day and night, even skipping meals and sleep to make every shot good. His hard work brought good results. In 2016, he won lots of matches and became a member of China's national shooting team. One year later, he won his first world title at the World Championships.

However, his road to more championships was not easy. At the 2017 Tianjin National Games, he lost the gold by only 0.3 points. At the 2021 Shaanxi National Games, he lost by only 0.1 points. Both times he took silver. At first, Liu felt very sad about these losses (失利). But over time, he became calmer. He said, "Only by going through failures can we shine brighter."

For this National Games, his only dream was to break the world record over 470 points. He failed to do it at the Paris Olympics because he was nervous. This time, with a peaceful mind, he made his dream come true and fixed his regret.

Hello! I am a polar bear. My family and I live in the Arctic (北极). It is a very cold world full of ice and snow. We have thick fur (皮毛) to keep us warm. We also need to get fat to stay healthy, so we eat a lot when we can find food.

Ice is very important for us to find food. We mainly eat seals (海豹). We are good swimmers, but we cannot swim fast enough to catch seals in open water. So we stay on the ice. Seals make small holes in the ice to breathe. We wait quietly beside these holes for seals to come up. When the time is right, we catch them quickly. That is how we get our food.

But now the world is getting warmer. The ice is becoming smaller and thinner. Without ice, it is hard for us to catch seals. Scientists say by 2100, most polar bears may disappear from the Earth if nothing changes.

The Chinese video game Black Myth: Wukong has made Sun Wukong, the Monkey King, famous worldwide. But for Pourazar, Sun Wukong has been part of his life for many years.

Pourazar, 63, is a skilled Peking Opera  (perform) who plays the Monkey King. He practices his makeup backstage at Beijing's Liyuan Theatre. An elderly member of the theatre jokes that Pourazar is now  "unique old monkey".

Pourazar has spent 30 years  (practice) Peking Opera and is famous for his acting of Sun Wukong. He travels between China and the US  a cultural ambassador (大使), introducing Peking Opera to both American and Chinese audiences. He  (receive) the Great Wall Friendship Award from the Beijing government in 2014 for his contributions.

Pourazar's love for Peking Opera began  he saw a performance in London in 1993. He was so moved that he left his job and moved to Beijing to study Peking Opera. It was one of  (difficult) challenges for him to start as an adult with no basic skills. Though there were some painful days, he enjoyed every moment.
