Studying is usually the least favourite thing among students. Most of them dislike the idea of studying. Why? Shouldn't studying be a fun activity to do, especially in the path of acquiring (获得) knowledge? If you want to be good at studying, it is very important to have good study habits. Here are some tips.
Firstly, in order to study, you must always choose a quiet area as this will help you to stay focused. A school, a public library, a coffee shop, or a quiet corner of your house can all be good places to study.
Organizing study groups is another useful tip. Group members can help one another work through difficult problems, provide encouragement, and make studying more enjoyable. Make sure you stay away from distractions, at least until it's time to take a break.
Some of you might prefer to read aloud, make colourful notes or watch video clips to help remember, while some may prefer to listen to sounds. Besides, some people work best in the mornings and others do better in the evenings. If you're not sure when you are most productive, try studying at different times of the day.
Lastly, practise, practise, practise! Musicians practise their instruments. Athletes practise sports skills. If you want to be able to remember information, the best thing you can do is practise. You can take practice tests or fun quizzes.
Hopefully, these tips can help you a lot.
A. The same should go for learning.
B. A noisy environment will not help you at all.
C. Another good method is to make some notes.
D. Perhaps you've been studying the wrong way.
E. However, there is one thing you should keep in mind.
F. In addition, try to find the style of learning that works best for you.

3、Pre-made food has recently started a hot public discussion. The thing that Luo Yonghao criticized XIBEI, a famous restaurant chain, on social media made the discussion even more serious. Luo said most dishes at XIBEI were pre-made but sold at high prices without clear information. XIBEI said the accusation was not true, opened its kitchens to the public, and even boldly launched a "Luo Yonghao Menu" to reply.
As major domestic (国内的) official media have pointed out, pre-made food, as a product of industrial food production, has its advantages that cannot be replaced. It meets the needs for fast meals in a fast-paced society, helps food businesses cut costs and workers, and improves efficiency. What's more, it can reduce food waste through standard rules.
However, problems cannot be ignored (忽视). First, food safety is a top worry. If there is no proper check, long-term storage and complex supply chains may bring risks like microbe pollution. Second, the lack of clear information breaks consumers' right to know that many restaurants use pre-made food without telling customers, and customers pay for what they think is freshly cooked dishes. Third, some products have quality problems, such as using too many additives (添加剂) to make food last longer.
To make sure the pre-made food industry develops healthily, stricter checks are badly needed. The government should improve standards, make production and delivery checks stronger, and ask businesses to tell customers they use pre-made ingredients. Only in this way can the industry's growth be balanced with the protection of consumers' legal rights.
(1)、What can we learn from the event in the first paragraph?A、XIBEI admitted using many pre-made dishes right after Luo's criticism. B、It helps food businesses spend less money and use fewer workers. C、It makes less food wasted by following standard rules. D、It is more delicious than freshly cooked food.(3)、What does the underlined "accusation" probably mean in the first paragraph?A、disagreement B、saying C、blame D、fighting(4)、What is the main purpose of the last paragraph?A、To explain why people choose pre-made food. B、To describe the challenges the pre-made food industry faces. C、To suggest ways for the pre-made food industry to improve. D、To discuss the advantages and disadvantages of pre-made food.(5)、What is the author's attitude towards pre-made food?A、Totally disagree, because it's not safe. B、Thinks it's good but needs strict management C、Fully supports it, because it has no disadvantages. D、Doesn't care, and has no clear ideas. -
4、As they were looking up at the ceiling, they saw that there were thousands of bats hanging there. They were so afraid that they started to quickly walk toward the other side of the room. They tried another way because they thought it was not safe to go back through the room with the bats.
However, as they walked on, they found they were lost. Becky started to cry wildly.
"Surely, your mother will see tonight that you haven't come back," Tom said. "She'll send people out to look for you."
Becky thought for a moment and then started to cry even harder. "Oh, Tom. She thinks that I'm sleeping at the Harpers tonight. She won't find that I'm missing until late the next morning!"
"Alright, Becky. Let's not cry. We should just keep walking. As long as we walk, there's hope."
So they walked with no idea where they were going. Tom, after a while, had to put out the candle in order to save it. And so much of the time they walked in total darkness. Tom tried calling out for help several times but never got any answer in return.
Tom had some kite string in his pocket. He took it out and tied one end to a rock. Then he told Becky to sit and wait for him. Tom lit the candle again and made his way down one of the roads. He didn't get far when the floor in front of him suddenly dropped fast into the black world below. He stretched his arm to feel how deep the drop was. While he was feeling around, his hand touched another hand. Tom jumped back and held out his candle to see who was there. A face then appeared. It was the face of Injun Joe.

As a university student, I decided to learn German. For some reason, I really liked the language, but I was not very good at learning it. The grammar1 me a lot and even drove me crazy. My only advantage was2—I got an A on every word test I took. After two years of study, I managed to communicate in broken German and applied to study in Germany to complete my degree. It was the3 term I would ever have.
The moment I arrived in Germany, I felt like I was making a fresh start. The German I learned in university wasn't4 for everyday conversation. My book knowledge didn't work when I used it to read emails and talk with my classmates. I was often nervous at school because I always5 whether the teachers would call me in class and whether I'd understand their questions. I only6 a little around my eight roommates. It's mainly because they were willing to speak German slowly to me and didn't seem to mind my7.
I chose to study three courses—reading and writing, grammar and history. All were in German and difficult, but the history class was the worst. The teacher spoke so fast that almost everything he said flew right over my head. I sat in the front, took notes and even wrote down every single word he said8, but nothing helped. I had no idea what the class was really about.
Years have passed, but I still remember how it felt to9 another language so hard. That trip was a difficult but10 lesson. I think my failure that term taught me just as much as my success.

Schools in Finland gave up handwriting lessons, and students were taught how to type and send text messages.Although handwriting is an important part of the curriculum(课程) in the UK, some teachers think typing is now more important. Some people say schools should accept modern life, and others want to protect the important and necessary skill. So what do you think?
Yes —— everything is typed these days.
A recent survey found that one in ten people in the UK wrote nothing by hand that year. With emails and text messages, people's main ways of communication are typing, not handwriting. Also, most written work now is done digitally. Typed tests would be better preparation for the world of work. Exams should be about testing a student's knowledge, not their handwriting skills. Typed tests would make it easier for everyone to show what they' ve learnt.
No —— handwriting is an important skill.
Even if people aren't writing as much as they used to, they' ll still need clear handwriting to fill in forms, for example. Although adults may do most of the ir writing on computers, a lot of schoolwork is still done by hand. Therefore, handwritten tests are suitable. In fact, studies have shown that people learn more when they write them down by hand than when they' re typing on a keyboard. If the purpose of schools' exams is for children to remember all this information in later life, then handwritten tests are the way to go.
In my opinion, although handwriting is not used as often as before, we should still learn to write well. It can make us learn more about the past and its culture too.
A. Do you agree with me?
B. Should all exams be typed?
C. Handwriting is an important skill.
D. Handwriting is a thing of the past.
E. Being able to write well is of great importance.
Do you think handwriting is important? Why or why not?(不超过15词)

Duck is a traditional meat in China, and the dish was called shāo yāzi (simply"roast duck") in the TangDynasty. A fresh duck was roasted over a wood fire. On this basis, the cooking method was improved by later people.
Its cooking method was mentioned in the book Complete Recipes for Dishes and Beverages in 1330 by HuSihui, who worked at the imperial (皇帝的) kitchen. It was one of the main dishes on imperial kitchen menus by then (the Yuan Dynasty).
In 1368, the Ming Dynasty was founded, and the capital lay in Nanjing. Imperial chefs cooked a duck by hanging it over a wood fire, making it crisp (酥脆的) and smell great, fatty but not greasy (油腻的). The emperor liked it very much, so the dish was officially named"roast duck".
During the rule of the Yongle Emperor, the third emperor of the Ming Dynasty, he ordered that the capital be moved from Nanjing to Beijing. In this way, the roast duck recipe was also brought to Beijing. After that, the popularity of roast duck gradually spread to the local people. With its popularity in Beijing, this dish became known as"Beijing roast duck".
In 1416, the first known restaurant of roast duck opened in Beijing, called Bianyifang. There they roasted the duck in a closed oven (烤炉) having first heated the walls of the oven with sorghum stalks (高粱茎) to give a crispy finish to the duck.
In 1864, another famous roast duck restaurant opened, called Quanjude. There they used a different way of cooking: hanging the duck to roast over the fire in an open oven. Styles of these two restaurants still exist today, so we suggest you ▲ while you' re visiting Beijing.
By the mid-20th century, Beijing roast duck had become a symbol of the traditional Chinese dishes and the top choice dish served when foreign leaders visited our country.
