With cultural confidence, the young Chinese can be seen in many fields of intangible cultural heritage (非物质文化遗产) inheritance (传承). They express the traditional culture in new ways, such as wearing intangible cultural heritage paper-cuts on their bodies, turning 2D pictures into 3D forms. 

These intangible cultural heritages were almost endangered in the past and have now become top fashion on the Internet and a new sign of local tourism. It can be said that these positive and active young Chinese make efforts. Ancient traditional culture is the source of our creations, continuous innovation (创新) is the way of inheritance, and rich and long-lasting culture is our confidence to look at the world. Now it is finally understood by the Chinese young generation. 

Every weekend, there is a family show at my home. My father, my mother and I all wear 1 favourite clothes. We 2 have a good time showing clothes in different styles.

What's your favourite colour? Different people may have different answers. But when you ask me, my answer is "green". That's not because I like the colour green. In fact, I like "green fashion". 

"Green fashion" is about making "green" clothes. They are good for people, animals, and the earth. In the past, some people didn't like these clothes at all, because they thought they were ugly when they wore "green" clothes. But now, as people care more about the environment (环境), more and more people think "green fashion" is special and important. 

Around the world, "green fashion" is becoming popular. Many people like it. For example, the company (公司) People Tree sells clothes made of cotton (棉布). The workers in the company are from poor countries. People Tree gives the workers money. A famous singer and his wife also have a clothing company. After they sell clothes, the company uses most of the money to help people around the world. 

Let's all enjoy this type of "green fashion" and try our best to make our earth better. Together, we can build a more beautiful world for ourselves and for future people. 

We often see people in different offices wear different clothes. In America, a businessman goes to work in a dark suit, with black shoes, socks and a tie. A reporter goes to work in old blue jeans, a work shirt and sneakers (运动鞋). These two kinds of clothes are suitable for their work. 

If you are a college student who will leave school soon, before starting a job, you have to buy some new clothes. And you'd better have a look at "what everyone else is wearing" in the office. On certain (某个) kinds of business occasions, the men wear only suits with white shirts and dark ties. On others, men can wear jackets. 

Dressing is very important. Without it, there is no successful fashion. It would be helpful if everyone looks at himself in the mirror before leaving home every morning. 

"I don't like my school, and I want to go home!" Do you have that idea that? A lot of children do. Now let's talk about it. 

If you don't like your school, the first thing is to know why. You may not like your teachers. You may not have many friends at school. You may have problems with your subjects or homework. 

But what can you do with it? You can make some new friends. Going to school can be very interesting if you have many friends at school. You can make friends after school or when doing sports, then you can talk with them and do the same thing with them. You can also make school easy. If you don't like your teachers, you can talk with them. If you think your subjects are boring and difficult, you can ask others for help. 

School is not a prison (监狱). You can learn to make your school life easy and interesting.

One sunny weekend, Amy got an invitation (邀请) to a party from her friend Lily. She was very excited and started to think about  for the party.

Growing up with Reading

Long ago, some fishermen set out to cross the sea in their ship. One of them brought his pet monkey along for the long journey.

When they were far out at sea, a terrible storm broke their ship. Everyone fell into the sea, and the monkey was going to die. Suddenly a dolphin appeared and picked him up.

They soon reached an island and the monkey came down from the dolphin's back. The dolphin asked the monkey, "Do you know this place?" The monkey replied, "Yes, I do. The king on the island is my father, so you must treat me very well."

"That's a lie," the dolphin thought, because he knew no one lived on the island. The dolphin said, "Well, well, so you are a prince (王子)! Now you can be a king!" The monkey asked, "How can I be a king?"

As the dolphin started swimming away, he answered, "That is easy. As you are the only animal on this island, you will certainly be the king!" In the end, the monkey died on the island alone. Remember that we should be honest in our life.

In Chinese culture, there are some stories about the moon. This story is one of  (they). It is about Wu Gang and a bay tree(月桂树). 

Wu Gang was a woodman. He wanted immortality(永生),  he didn't try hard enough to learn the magic. 

The Emperor got angry with him because  his attitude. He wanted to punish Wu Gang. Later on, the Emperor  (come) up with an idea. He planted a huge bay tree on the moon. Then he said to Wu Gang, "If you can cut it down, you will become immortal."

Wu Gang thought this was his chance to  (gain) immortality. He was confident because he was good at  (cut) down trees. He took out his ax(斧子) and went to  moon. 

However, the Emperor had given the bay tree some magic. The tree could heal itself at once after Wu Gang chopped it! Wu Gang didn't believe his  (eye). As a result, Wu Gang  (can) never cut the tree down. 

Today, people still believe the obvious(明显的) shadow on the moon was  (make) by the huge bay tree. Can you see the shadow on the moon?
