Nowadays, many teenagers spend too much time on mobile phones. 

"My teacher says we must call 119 when there is a fire, " a four-year-old girl told the reporter after helping save herself and her younger sister from a house fire. 

The little girl comes  Nanning, Guangxi. Months ago, a pot（锅）in her home's kitchen caught fire. When the fire , the girl was at home with her younger sister. After noticing the fire, she acted . She covered the pot at first.  the door was locked（被锁）, the girl and her sister couldn't leave the house. She took her sister to a safe room and  119. When she got through to an operator（接线员）, she told the operator what was happening. The operator told to stay safe and open the window for fresh air. The girl said she had already opened the window. Then, she clearly told the operator her home was. The firefighters arrived quickly and saved the two .

One day, my brother opened my father's new book and drew all over the first page with a pen. When my father walked into the room, my brother became nervous. He knew that he had done something wrong. He was afraid that my father would punish him. 

My father picked up his much—loved book, looked at it carefully for quite a while and didn't say anything. Books were important to him, but what he did next was unexpected. Instead of punishing my brother, he sat down, took the pen from my brother' s hand. He smiled at the little kid and wrote next to the drawings made by John, John's work, 1959, age 3. You have made the book valuable. I'm very thankful to you for drawing in my book. 

The years and the books came and went. We moved several times and experienced a lot, success and failure（失败）, happiness and sadness. From time to time we would open the book, look at the drawings, read my father's words of love, and feel excited. 

Now I know my father taught us that every bad event in life can have a good side. If we are prepared to look at it from another side, we' ll be touched by the kindness of others. But he also made us realize what really matters in life, people, not things, love, not anger（愤怒）。

Each time I think about these things, I will smile and in a low voice, " Thank you, Dad. "

Do you often have a headache during a test? Are you worried about something that you can't sleep well at night? If so, then you will know what pressure（压力）is. You will feel it when you are worried about something. This worry in your mind can make your body feel bad. You may feel angry, sad or afraid——all of them can make your life bad. 

There are different kinds of pressure. Some are good and others are bad. 

Good pressure might come to you when your teacher asks you to answer questions in class or when you try to get good grades at school. This kind of pressure can help you to do things better. 

On the other hand, bad pressure will come if the pressure lasts（持续）too long. You may not feel well if a family member is sick, if you' re having problems at school, or if anything else often makes you unhappy. That kind of pressure isn't going to help you. And it can really make you feel sick. 

The best way to face pressure is to make sure you keep these in mind——sleep, exercise and food. If you get enough sleep and eat healthily, and if you exercise and leave time for fun, you' ll probably have an easier life. 

April 24th is China's Space Day. Since Yang Liwei went into space in 2003, about 20 Chinese astronauts have traveled there. 

In space, astronauts have many problems. There is almost no gravity（重力）, which makes their bodies weak. Staying in a small spaceship for a long time without family and friends can make them feel lonely or sad. Also, if something breaks suddenly, they must fix it quickly under great stress. That's why astronauts need to be clever, strong, and ready for any problem before going to space. 

To help astronauts work safely and come back to Earth, they have 8 types of training with over 200 topics. They train for at least three and a half years. This includes physical exercise, science lessons, and practice for space tasks. 

One of the hardest parts of training is underwater work. This helps astronauts get used to weightlessness. They wear diving suits（潜水服）over 100 kilos and stay underwater for six hours each time. 

"Take out the rubbish, clean the living room, do the dishes, and sweep the floor, " said Jewel' s mother. "Jewel, you have to help me 1 we can finish the chores faster!"
