Let's do sports

Doing sports is very important in our life. 

One day, I saw my grandma doing paper-cutting. She made many beautiful and animals with red paper. I asked if（是否）she could teach me, and she happily. 

At first, I was  because it was hard for me to hold the scissors and follow the lines. But my grandma was patient. She showed me to cut slowly. She also showed me some easy examples to  . 

Through my practice, my skills of doing paper-cutting got  . I started to understand how to make my own designs（设计）. Soon, my room was full of colourful works, and I was so proud of myself. And then I chose the best one for my grandma and gave it to  as a birthday present. My grandma was so excited when she  the gift.

Last month, the water dispenser（饮水机）in Frank's home was broken, so his father bought a new one. 

Last Friday, Frank got some water from it, but the water tasted"dirty". Then, Frank thought the new water dispenser also had something wrong. After that, he never drank from the water dispenser. But his parents thought the water tasted fine. Two days ago, his mother used a new cup to get some water from the water dispenser and gave it to him. His mother asked him to drink some water because it was very hot that day. Frank refused at first, but it was so hot that he drank it at last. To his surprise, the water tasted good this time!

Finally, Frank found out that the problem was his cup. He forgot to clean his cup last time, and it made the water taste bad. From the experience, he learned that sometimes the facts might be not true, and he should find the truth first. 

When you' re bored, you may watch short videos（视频）. But a new study says this will make you feel even more bored. 

Scientists from the University of Toronto Scarborough in Canada did an experiment（实验）. They asked 159 people to take part in it. Scientists made the experiment into two parts, Part 1 and Part 2. 

In Part 1, people watched a 10-minute video. They had to watch it until the end. In Part 2, they could choose seven short videos. Each short video was five minutes long. They had 10 minutes to watch these short videos. They could skip（跳过）parts between the videos. 

After they finished Part 2, the scientists asked the people how they felt during the experiment. Everyone liked the first part better than the second part. 

Why did this happen? Being bored related to attention. If we focus on a video, we won't feel so bored. So, it's better to watch a video carefully. Don't skip videos too fast.

Last Saturday, Lily went past a shop. She saw some chocolate snacks in the shop. They brought Lily a sweet memory.

At first, mom gave her a bowl of flour（面粉）and asked her to mix it with water. It was difficult and flour was everywhere. Thanks to mom, Lily knew how to do it quickly. Next they added chocolate chips to the dough（面团）. Then they made it into small snacks. Finally, they put them in the oven（烤箱）. They needed to cook these small snacks in the oven for an hour. During this time, Lily and her mom chatted happily. They talked about Lily's school and mom's childhood memories of making snacks. Finally, the golden-yellow snacks were ready. They smelt amazing. Lily loved them. 

That day, Lily found cooking with family was full of fun. They spent a happy time together, talked a lot, and made the snacks. These sweet moments became good memories.
