The Yangtze River dolphin is one of the most endangered animals on Earth. You can only find the dolphins in the Yangtze River in China. They are so rare that they

are often called the Giant (巨大的) Panda under water. They like to live in groups and can grow up to 2.5 metres long. Along the Yangtze River, there were many fishing villages in the past. And overfishing put these dolphins in great danger. What a pity!

Toucans are colourful birds with big beaks (鸟喙). They live in rainforests in Central and South America. They are endangered because people keep cutting down trees. They have no place to live. What's more, people are catching them as pets.

The island of Madagascar is home to aye-ayes (指猴). They are dark brown or black and have very large eyes. Aye-ayes spend their lives in trees and don't come down. People in Madagascar think the aye-aye is a symbol of bad luck. So they often kill aye-ayes when they see them. There are only a few thousand aye-ayes left.

My name is Jenny. Today is my fourth day in junior high. I want to introduce (介绍) my new school to you. It is a big, beautiful and convenient (方便的) school.

There is a garden in our school. There are many big trees and different kinds of flowers in it. The birds sing in the green trees and I can have a walk in the garden after dinner.

Students all love our school. We all feel happy to study here.

We all need good friends and want to get on well with them. But what do you do when you and your best friend have1 ideas? At first, I didn't know what to do when this happened to my best friend Karina and me.

My Spring Festival of the Year of the Snake

Dear teacher and classmates,

Happy new year to you! On December 4,2024, our Spring Festival was listed by UNESCO as part of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.

Green is an important color in nature. It is the color of grass and the (leaf)on trees. It is also the color of most growing plants, but"green" is more than just a color. It also means people should take some steps (protect) our environment.

There are several simple things in your everyday life which will make  difference. There is nothing new but if you follow at least some of these tips, you can be proud of(you) in the protection of the environment.

Charity (施舍): You have tons of clothes or things you want to get rid of(丢弃). they are still usable, give them to someone who needs them.

Avoid wasting electricity: Turn  the light when you leave a room. When you do not use your computer, shut it down. It's an easy habit to take up  will help you save a lot of money.

Walk or cycle: Driving is one of the biggest causes of pollution. When you want to use your car, ask yourself the following question: Do I (real) need my car? Walk or use your bike when the journey is a short one.

Rainwater: Think of recycling rainwater. This water can(use) for different purposes.
