Since there wasn't any electricity, some things   the fridge quickly went bad.  we woke up on Saturday morning, we discovered  that we couldn't eat our breakfast cereal-we didn't have any milk or yogurt! By noon, it got really hot inside our apartment,  we couldn't turn on the air conditioner. Even worse, most household tasks became very difficult   electricity. For example, we had to wash all our clothes by hand, and this took a lot of time.

During the May Day holiday, Guangzhou stood out as a top travel destination.[nIəli]12.61 million visitors came to the city, bringing a total income of 12.8 billion yuan.

Many fun events were held to welcome tourists. The CoffeeCulture Fair was a big success. Visitors could taste excellent coffee['prɒdʌkts] from 13 countries and enjoy coffee art.The Firefly Anime Carnival was also popular with 260+ stores providing  toys,  games,  and  clothes,  attracting ['məʊstli]  young visitors.

Water shortage is already a truth in many areas. If we fail to act now,future generations will face illnesses, hunger, and an unclean lifestyle.

Forests cover about 31% of our planet. But protecting them is hard. Traditional forest protection needs many people and takes a long time.

Drone technolog changes this. Drones are flying machines that fly over forests. They provide fast, safe, and detailed checks from above. A drone can check hundreds of hectares(公顷) in one day.

Why are drones so good? First, they offer a bird's-eye view. From above, workers can see tree tops and discover problems not seen from the ground. Second, drones can reach dangerous areas instead of people. Third, they can work. not only on sunny days but also in the rain and wind.

The good things are clear. Workers don't have to walk through dangerous places. When a fire or storm hits a forest, drones can quickly check the damage. They can save the forest. Besides, they can also keep workers safe from danger.

On Heartfelt Farm lived three friends: Aria, a playful horse; Lena, a gentle cow; and Maya, a smart hen. Lena and Maya were proud because they produced milk and eggs for the farmer. However, Aria only ran and played all day.

Aria smiled, his heart feeling light and happy. From that day on, whenever Aria ran across the farm, his friends called out, "Run, our swift hero! Run, run, run!"

In the long history of Traditional Chinese Medicine, some doctors were very famous. They were not only good at treating(治疗)sick people, but also changed what was possible in their time. One of them was Tan Yunxian, a woman doctor in the 15th century.

Tan was born in a family of doctors. Her grandparents passed on their medical knowledge to her because they loved her very much.Her grandmother also left medical books and tools to Tan before she died. In ancient China, women could not study with great teachers to learn medical skills. For them, family training(培养) was the usual way to learn medicine.

In ancient China, men doctors were not allowed to touch women or ask them questions face to face. So women doctors like Tan Yunxian became very important. She listened to those women with great care. She made them feel safe and believe in her. It also helped Tan understand their illnesses better.

In her 50s, Tan wrote a special book called Miscellaneous Records of a Female Doctor. She wrote down 31 true stories about health problems of women. It is the only book written by a woman doctor of the Ming Dynasty. In this book, Tan cared not only about women's health problems but also about how women lived. She found bad feelings and too much work often made them sick.

Tan Yunxian lived into her 90s. She set a great example with her hard work and good medical skills. In many ways, her work continues to inspire people today.
