Gu Jinling, a 12-year-old from Beijing, has become a social media influencer with over 2.5 million followers. In her videos, viewers are fascinated by her traditional costumes. They are also amazed by her outstanding dance skills at such a young age.
"I have studied calligraphy and played the piano, cello (大提琴), and guitar, but I didn't find any of them fun. In the end, I realized that dancing is what truly makes me happy," she said. Gu trained in ballet at first but began learning Chinese classical dance at the age of 6, drawn by its costumes, which she found "even prettier" than those of ballet. Gu's home is filled with books on Chinese murals (壁画), and she studies the expressions and postures (姿势) from them. When going to different cities, she often visits museums, closely watching ancient dance dolls.
However, growth brings new challenges for a dancer. A child's body is more flexible (灵活的), and movements that once came easily now require greater effort and practice. Since last year, Gu has spent more time mastering basic dance skills.
Although she is busy with dance, Gu does not feel stressed and unhappy. Like many teenagers, she enjoys playing with dolls and spends her weekends hanging out with friends, shopping, and watching movies.
"My friends also have different kinds of classes. No one's life is all about playing," she said with a laugh. "I chose dance. The better I dance, the happier I am."
(1)、Why do viewers like watching Gu Jinling's dance?(2)、When did Gu Jinling start to learn Chinese classical dance?(3)、How does Gu Jinling deal with her new challenges?(4)、Does Gu Jinling feel stressed while she is busy with dance?(5)、What do you think of Gu Jinling? -

According to an old story, a young man came across a spring of delicious clear water while traveling in the desert. The water was very sweet. He filled his leather canteen (皮革水壶), so he could bring some back to old man who had been his teacher.
After a four-day journey, he gave the water to the old man on (he) own. The old man took a deep drink, smiled (warm) and thanked his student. The young man returned to his village happily. Later, the teacher asked another student (taste) the water. He spat it out (吐出) the water in the old leather canteen was awful. The student asked his teacher, "Master, the water was terrible. Why did you pretend (假装) to like it?" The teacher (reply), "You only tasted the water, but I tasted the gift. When my student gave me the water, it was an act of expressing love and kindness and nothing could be (sweet)."
I think we can understand this lesson best when we get innocent (幼稚的) gifts of love young children. Whether it's a paper boat or a drawing, the natural and proper response is appreciation, because we should appreciate the gift. Unluckily, most children and many adults value only the thing that (give), rather than the thought behind it. We should remind ourselves and teach our (child) to show thankfulness. After all, gifts from the heart are gifts of the heart.

Animals can express their needs by using a lot of ways. For example, almost all animals have different voices to either ask for help or look for safe places. They are able to communicate with humans by using meows (喵喵叫) and you're able to understand them. If a pet cat is hungry, it will keep meowing to get attention and find food. At the Badaling Great Wall in Beijing, getting food and water used to require a 50-minute walk. But now, people can place orders on the phone, and drones (无人机) will bring them over in a few minutes. The drones can also take away trash from tourists on their return journeys.
This is just one example of the wide use of drones in China. By June, over 1.87 million drones had received permission to work, reported China Daily. The demand (需求) for professional drone pilots is rising. However, only about 225,000 people have the necessary licenses to fly them. This creates a shortage of almost 1 million licensed drone pilots in the country.
Since drones have been used in many areas, like farming, video filming and environmental protection, drone pilots can also work in various industries (各行各业). The pay is good too. Some pilots are paid around 30,000 yuan per month, reported China Daily. That is why more people are training to get drone licenses. At Xiaoxiang Yongxiang, a business offering such training in Hunan province, 400 to 500 people have graduated so far this year. Before, there were only about 200 each year.
To get a drone-flying license for distances (距离) under 500 meters, people need to take 44 hours of training. For longer distances, 56 hours are required. "I believe drones are the future," said Dong Jiamin, head of Xiaoxiang Yongxiang.
The excitement around drones is tied to the development of the low-altitude economy (低空经济), which is about activities happening in the airspace (空域) below 3,000 meters. By 2030, this part of the economy could reach 2,000 billion yuan in China. Other industries, such as AI and green energy, are also expected to grow with it.

C、Take away the trash.(2)、Which is the meaning of the underlined word "shortage" in Paragraph 2?A、短缺 B、狭窄 C、需求(3)、What can we know according to the last two paragraphs?A、Drone-flying licenses for different distances need the same flying time. A. Breathe in the fresh air.
B. How did we get here?
C. Once you start, it's hard to stop.
D. What do you usually do when you're online?
E. Many people are now online nearly all the time.
F. Over time, we feel like our lives are getting more and more boring.
How did you spend your winter holiday? Were you glued to a screen from morning ill night? well. you're not alone. According to a new survey, on average Chinese spend five and a half hours on the Internet every day.
For many people (not just in China), the answer is just watching short videos and checking out new memes. Instead of helping us relax. this low-value content messes up our thinking. The Oxford Word of the Year." brain rot(脑腐)", best describes this global headache
Watching these types of short videos and memes is like eating your favourite snacks. It's also an easy way to kill time-why plan an outing or take up a new hobby since you can have "fun" without getting up from your sofa?
But this "easy fun" comes at a price. The more time we spend on our screens, the less real-life joy we experience.
It's time to bring back "voluntary fun". Go outside with your friends or family and enjoy the beauty of nature Bathe in the warm sunlight. Brighten your day with pleasant birdsong. Just don't let your screens take over your free time.

Stuffy Pete was a homeless man in New York City. Each year, an old gentleman found him on a park bench in Union Square and took him out for a Thanksgiving meal, creating a cherished tradition. However, this Thanks giving was different. Before meeting the old gentleman, Stuffy had enjoyed a big dinner with two kind old ladies, leaving him full and uncomfortable.
As the old gentleman came close, Stuffy shook and struggled to breathe, wishing he could fly away. "Good morning," the old gentleman greeted him. "I'm glad to see you in good health. Let's give thanks for this blessing. Come with me, and I'll treat you to a meal that will make you feel thankful." These familiar words, repeated for nine years, now brought tears to Stuffy's eyes. More young Chinese are using guzi. Their spending on guzi is even benefiting the country's economy(经济).Guzi sounds like the English word "goods". It means "grain" in Chinese. The word here refers to products related to ACGN-anime, comics, games, and novels. Goods include badges, cards, soft toys, and more. The act of buying these products is called "eating grains".
Most guzi lovers are Generation Z. They are buying guzi for comfort. "These goods help me get through my busier days. They also allow me to leave my worries about my studies behind," said a college student in Chongqing. The other reason is that the "friendship recession(衰退)" becomes a growing problem in China. Young people want to find new ways to form relationships. Guzi culture is taking advantage of this. Guzi stores offer real-life spaces for young people to meet people with similar interests.
By drawing young shoppers to physical stores(实体店), guzi is also bringing new life into China's business. According to an earlier report, China's guzi economy is expected to continue to grow fast. In 2024, it was worth168.9 billion yuan, an increase of 40%, compared to 2023. By 2029, the number will be around 308.9 billion.
