For many students, speaking is the most difficult part of the language. To speak English well, you need to practice with other English learners or speakers. One way to do this is by joining or starting an English club. Why can English clubs help learners improve their English? There are many reasons. The most important one is that they give learners a chance to practice spoken English. Many learners find English clubs more fun than usual English classes. They also let learners speak English in more real-life situations (场景). This can make learners want to speak and learn on their own. But what if there are not any English clubs in your school? Don't worry! You can start one by yourself with the following steps. 

First, find club members. Next, find a meeting place. Then, hold your first meeting. Why do we need to learn English so hard? Well, we don't learn English to take exams but to talk to more people outside China and tell the world Chinese stories in English. So, boys and girls, let's get started!

Many students get ill (生病的) easily. They have to go to hospital and may miss (错过) a lot of classes. What can we do to keep healthy? 

Healthy food. You should eat less fast food but more vegetables and fruit. Remember to eat breakfast. 

 Doing exercise is important. It makes you more athletic (强壮的). You can play some sports after class or on weekends. 

Be happy. Smile (笑) is a good way to make you healthy.  Remember that smile is the best thing for your illness. 

Good sleep.As a saying goes, "Early to bed and early to rise (起身) makes a man healthy, wealthy (财富) and smart. "

In the morning, we went to our rooms. Then, the teachers showed us how to make the bed and where to put our things. At first, we didn't know why we needed to learn such simple tasks. But the teacher said, "Even small things can be difficult until you know how to do them. "

At lunchtime, the teachers told us, "You have to wash the dishes after eating. " At first, we didn't do it very well. So the teachers showed us the right way to clean them. After that, the dishes looked much better!

In the evening, the teachers taught us how to cook rice. We did something wrong at first, but finally we got it right! We were so happy, because we were eating food cooked by ourselves. That night, we finished all the rice. 

Time went by quickly, and Growing Week ended. Now, I think it's time for me to help out more at home.

For phone users

◆Keep your voice down when you make a phone call in public (公众场合). Shouting on the phone may make others feel uncomfortable.

◆Stop sending messages or playing games with your phone at a dinner or a party. It's a good time to communicate with your family and friends.

◆Don't make or answer a call while driving. It is not only very dangerous for both you and your passengers but also against the law (违反法律). 

For subway passengers

◆You should wait in line while buying tickets and getting on the subway. 

◆You're not allowed to eat, drink or smoke on the subway train. The smell and noise may trouble others. It's our duty to keep the train clean and tidy.

◆ You can't take pets on the train. As we all know, animals may spread diseases (传播疾病) and get the train dirty.

◆ You'd better not lie across the subway seats even if the train isn't crowded. Offering your seat to someone who needs it is seen as good manners (礼貌).

Sometimes, an ordinary (平常的) happening can  (lead) to extraordinary (特别的) results.

In the 17th century, Isaac Newton spent his life  (work) out many laws of physics. He wanted to find out how things worked. For him, the world was his laboratory (实验室) in those early days of science.

For a long time, he had been working on the "laws of motion". One lucky day, as he was sitting in his study at his mother's country home, he looked out over the yard. The apple trees were  (fill) with ripe, red apples.

As he sat there thinking, he  (notice) an apple falling from the tree. Apples fall from trees all the time. They even fall and hit people on the head. But Isaac Newton's falling apple was no ordinary apple. And Newton was no ordinary man.

Data is no longer only about numbers, but information about almost every part of life: where we go, what we do and what we like and dislike. 

Big Data makes life easier. The smart traffic system (交通系统) in Los Angeles is a good example. It collects real-time traffic data and controls 4,500 traffic lights in the system. 

A supermarket named Tesco will recommend products (产品) to their customers (顾客) on its website after knowing their shopping habits. Its app on a mobile phone even guides customers around supermarkets to find what they want. 

However, Big Data causes serious problems about how we protect our privacy (隐私). We should learn to protect our privacy in the Big Data Age.

 What we should do is to make the best use of it.

China is rapidly integrating drone (无人机) technology into its medical emergency systems.

North China's Tianjin Municipality launched its first medical drone route (路线) in late May, marked by a successful simulated (模拟) emergency blood supply test flight. The flight connected a blood station at the Binhai New Area and the Tianjin Medical University Cancer Hospital's Binhai branch. "The drone route creates an emergency blood lifeline for patients in critical conditions," said Shen Jun, vice president of the hospital. Carrying a 5 kg payload (载重), the drone is equipped with a temperature-controlled medical box that allows for temperature, location and flight status monitoring (监控) in real time. Its efficient point-to-point delivery avoids delays caused by road traffic, saving precious time for emergency treatment.

Bolstered (激励) by technology and policy support, Chinese provinces like Zhejiang, Guangdong and Fujian are actively exploring the application of drones in their medical systems, transporting test samples, blood, emergency supplies and medicine, which are crucial for saving critical treatment times. In the city of Zigong, in southwest China's Sichuan Province, drones have become a routine part of medical services. According to the municipal health commission, the city has opened 25 low-altitude routes linking 28 sites for medical transport. As of May 27, drones had completed 5, 270 flights for medical use.

The drones are automated, cloud-controlled models built for urban operations. Cruising at 72km per hour with an 18-km range, they operate 70 percent to 80 percent faster than ground transport. "Usually, it takes at least 30 to 40 minutes from the hospital branch of Bancang to the headquarters by ground transportation. Drones cut this to 11 minutes," said Huang Yuting, transport manager at Zigong First People's Hospital, referring to a case in which a drone delivered a drug for emergency use last August.

Hao Jihui, president of Tianjin Medical University Cancer Hospital, said the low-altitude transport system breaks geographical barriers, enhances emergency response, and significantly improves medical resource efficiency by cutting costs and transportation times. "We'll expand drone applications to enhance cross-regional medical resource allocation (配置) and meet multi-level health service demands," Hao added.

An Indian mum lost parts of her two legs during a tornado (龙卷风). She saved her children' s lives by protecting them with her own body.

36-year-old mum Stephanie Decker said in a(n) 1 that she picked up her two children early from school when a big storm was coming near. They were in the family's underground room when the storm 2 . "I have never seen such a strong wind before," Decker said. "As soon as the glass broke, the whole house started 3 . "Decker made a quick decision to save her children, 4 them up in a blanket and throwing herself on top of them.
