The Science Museum is interesting for people of all ages. You can always find something new and have a wonderful time there. The museum is free to enter，so you can go in for a few minutes or stay all day. It is open daily from 10 a. m. to 6 p. m. So if you ever go to London，make sure you visit the Science Museum. It is my favourite museum in the whole world!

The word"no"is easy to read.However，sometimes it's hard to say no to others.So，people often use softer expressions to refuse.

Do you know why orange cats have orange fur （皮毛）？Two research teams shared their findings in two separate studies in May 2025.The answer also explains why so many orange cats are boys.

Just like people，cats get their chromosomes （染色体） from their parents.Chromosomes have parts of the DNA called genes （基因）.Genes influence how a living thing behaves and looks.Cats have 38 chromosomes in 19 pairs，and the 19th pair can decide their sex：females （XX） and males （XY）.The orange fur comes from a mutation （突变） of a special gene on the X chromosome.Since males have only one X，a mutation makes them fully orange.To be orange，a female would have to have the mutation on both X chromosomes.This is less likely to happen.Only 1 in 5 orange cats are girls.

Most female cats with orange fur have some other colors.Some have three colors：orange，black，and white.Some are a mix of black and orange.This means the female cats have the orange mutation on one X chromosome.But they have a different color on another X chromosome.

It's possible the mutation influences orange cats in other ways. "Many cat owners say that cat coat colors are linked with different personalities"，said Sasaki，a scientist in one of the teams. "There's no scientific proof （证据） yet.But we love to study the idea further."

The Travel Diaries of Xu Xiake is a great work by Ming Dynasty traveller Xu Xiake.It describes his exploration of China's about 20 provinces in nearly 30 years.It provides information about the geography，culture，and society of his time.

Xu Xiake was born in 1587 in Jiangyin，Jiangsu Province into a rich family .Influenced by his father，who deeply loved nature，Xu developed a strong interest in exploration.In the spring of 1607，his first important journey began.This marked the start of his travels，which he would record carefully in his diaries.
