Chinese seal carving(雕刻), or "zhuanke", is a special art form with a very long history. The art form mixes beautiful writing, carving skills and rich cultural meanings.
This art began in the Shang Dynasty (around 1600-1046 BCE). People then used seals mostly as symbols of controllers. Later, in the Zhou Dynasty (1046-256 BCE), seals also showed a person's importance. A big change happened in the Qin Dynasty (221-206 BCE). The emperor made a special writing style for it. Many centuries later, during the Ming (1368-1644) and Qing (1644-1912) dynasties, artists made seal carving one of the most popular art forms. They used different stones and sometimes ivory for important people.
Do you know how to carve a seal? First, draw a design(设计) on the seal. The design can be a simple sign, a word or a short sentence. Second, use a special carving tool to cut the design. This needs good hand skills and takes lots of time. Then put ink on the seal when the carving is done. Next, press the seal on a piece of paper. You'll see the design printed on the paper. This printed design is a special symbol for the person or group who owns the seal.
Today, many people still love it even though they use seals less for everyday signing now. In fact, in 2009, Chinese seal carving was accepted by UNESCO as a very important world cultural treasure. Modern artists try new styles. People collect old seals for their history and many learn carving as a way to learn tradition and relax themselves. Workshops around the world teach the ancient Chinese art, making sure it continues to shine brightly.
(1)、In what way does the writer tell the history of the seal carving in Paragraph 2?A、In space order. B、In time order. C、By means of cause and effect (因果). D、By comparison (比较).(2)、Which is the right order for making a seal carving?①Press the seal onto paper.②Draw a design on the seal.
③Put ink on the seal.④Carve the design with a tool.
A、②④③① B、②③①④ C、④②③① D、④①③②(3)、Why is Chinese seal carving still popular now?A、It's very expensive and shows a person's importance. B、UNESCO asks people to learn it in the workshops. C、People can experience culture and relax themselves. D、Modern artists can create better styles than before.(4)、What's the main purpose(目的) of this passage?A、To explain the great success of Chinese seal carving. B、To introduce Chinese seal carving as a valuable art form. C、To encourage readers to buy more ancient seal carving. D、To compare ancient and modern uses of seals in China. -

Noise-canceling headphones (降噪耳机) bring you a quiet world, but using them for to long might be bad for your brain, according to The New York Post.
Doctors from the UK's National Health Service (NHS) have seen more young people having "ear problems". These problems include trouble understanding speech or needing subtitles(字幕) to watch videos.
However, their ears are healthy, it's their brains that are in trouble. This problem is known as APD (听觉处理障碍). People with APD can hear sounds but find it hard to understand them.
To hear clearly, our brains must practice telling sounds apart. Noise-canceling headphones block background sounds, so our brains get less practice. Experts say this can make our brains "lazy" because they only focus on what we want to hear.
Noise travels in waves (波) through air and water. Noise-canceling headphones stop these waves in two ways: One is to use things like special ear cups. The other is to use a microphone(麦克风) to stop noise with opposite sound waves.
This technology can be bad if you use it too much. However, it is still helpful for people working in noisy places.
A. Helpful But Risky
B. Rising Ear Troubles
C. Two Ways to Stop Noise
D. Healthy Ears, Stressed Brains
E. Quiet Headphones, Lazy Brains
What's your suggestion about using headphones?(不超过 15 词)

The MBTI (Myers-Briggs Type Indicator)is a popular personality(性格、气质)test. It helps people understand themselves and their personality better. Taking the MBTI test is quite easy. For 15-20 minutes, you answer a set of questions about things you like or dislike and how you usually act or behave. These questions show four important dimensions(方面、维度)of your personality:
Extroversion (E) vs.Introversion (I)
This dimension shows if you are more outgoing and energetic by social activities (E) or if you feel more energetic alter being alone (For example, you like to think about your feelings or write in a diary. ) because big groups make you feel tired (I).
Sensing (S) vs.Intuition (N)
This looks at how you get information. Sensing (S) types depend on facts, details, and practicality, while Intuitive (N) types focus on possibilities, patterns, and big-picture thinking.
Thinking (T) vs.Feeling (F)
This dimension examines how you make decisions. Thinking (T) types look for logic and objectivity(逻辑和客观性),while Feeling(F)types consider values, feelings, and personal matters.
Judging (J) vs.Perceiving (P)
How do you get things done? This part shows how you finish homework or projects. Judging (J) people like to plan ahead, keep things organized and stick to(坚持) plans, while Perceiving (P) people often make last-minute decisions and enjoy changing plans.
Once you have answered all the questions, you receive a four-letter code like "ENFP" or "ISTJ" This code tells about your personality. For example, if you get "ENTJ", it means you are an Extroverted, Intuitive. Thinking and Judging person. Some companies use MBTI to help test if a candidate's (应聘者) personality goes with a job role. This seems unfair. People are varied, and a simple four-letter code cannot fully express their future abilities.
The MBTI is fun, but remember it's mainly a test to learn about yourself. It can show what you naturally do and help you see your strong points and weak points. However, it should not be used for big decisions like choosing your future job or picking whom to be friends with, etc.
(1)、According to the text, how many kinds of MBTI for people in all?A、Two. B、Four. C、Eight. D、Sixteen.(2)、Which one is more likely to get "ENTJ"?A、Kevin likes to talk with his friends and change plans. B、Judy is used to keeping quiet in her class and she always help others. C、Danny likes to join different activities and is good at his logic thinking. D、Kim always checks details carefully and she cares about her own feelings inside.(3)、Which word can take the place of the underlined word "varied"?A、personal B、different C、natural D、outgoing(4)、What's probably the writer's opinion about MBTI?A、MBTI brings danger to people. B、MBTI can fully explain people's abilities. C、MBTI helps people to know themselves belter. D、MBTI helps a lot in making important decisions. -

Jenny Miller was born in Lima, Peru. Her parents were French scientists. Her dad studied animals, and her mom was an expert on birds. When Jenny was 14, her family moved to the Amazon to build a research station called Panguana. Plant Hope Under the Sen: A Scientist's Story
Zhang Peidong from the Ocean University of China has spent the pus 17 years on one thing: planting "grass". This special grass, known as seagrass, grow in the ocean. It helps clean the air by taking in carbon dioxide (二氧化碳) and provides food for many sea animals.
Staring in 2008, Zhang's team studied how seagrass grow in coastal waters. They bravely went into cold water and carefully recorded every small change of the seagrass. "When does seagrass produce flowers and seeds (种子)? When do the seeds fall off? And when do they start to grow?" Zhang asked. To find out tho answers, they did many experiments and never gave up.
Zhang said the biggest difficultly in restoring (修) seagrass beds is planting the seeds in the right place. "We usually plant the seeds at 1 to 1.5 cm deep in the soil," said Zhang. "If the seeds are placed too deep, they can't grow easily, while if they are too near the surface, the water might wash them away."
To help the seagrass grow faster, the team came up with new methods. Every June, they collect young seagrass plants and grow them in pools. By the end of September, they move the young plants lo the ocean floor.
Thanks to their efforts, there is now more seagrass in the ocean. This has made the water cleaner and brought more animals to the area. For Zhang's team, every tiny plant is a step toward making the sea healthy again. They believe that even small actions can make a big difference for the future of the ocean.
