Last Monday, our class started a class WeChat group to help everyone stay connected（保持联系）. A girl named Lily joined the group that afternoon. She's our new classmate from another city.

Sora has become a hot topic on the Internet,  it can now only create videos which are up to one minute long. Sora can improve the whole process of making videos with  time and less money.

However, there are also worries. Some video makers are afraid that Sora may take over  jobs. And some people  that Sora might be used to make videos to cheat. It seems  to choose what to believe while people are watching videos. Maybe people need to use Sora  and wisely. As the saying goes," Technology is a double-edged sword(双刃剑)." The most important thing is that we should make good use of it.

To travel around the world is the dream of many adventurous people. But very few people can afford a global tour because hotels, food and airplane tickets are too expensive. Some people, however, have thought of some ways to realize their dreams.

Young star shines

Over the years, skilled Chinese players have been doing very well in table tennis. Now, young athletes from Generation Z are becoming the stars of the 2024 Paris Olympics.

Born in 2000, Sun Yingsha has been given the nickname" Little Devil" by her fans. When she was little, Sun was sensitive to the sound of a table tennis ball hitting the ground." I felt I had some talent," she told China Daily.

When Sun first joined the reserve squad (预备队) of the national table tennis team, she was excited. Becoming a world top player like her idol Zhang Yining has always been her dream.

Sun believes that life is always full of ups and downs." Determination and courage can make a good athlete," she said." What keeps me going are the goals and dreams I set for myself."

At the 2023 Singapore Smash, Sun won the women's singles, the women's doubles and the mixed doubles, becoming the first athlete to get three gold medals at the tournament (锦标赛). Looking at the world ranking website, you can see Sun's name at the top of the women's singles, women's doubles and mixed doubles.

When talking about younger table tennis players, Sun encourages them to keep their love and stay focused. "If you truly love table tennis, I hope you can hold on to it," she said.

Pan Yuzhen,77, comes from Taijiang County, Guizhou Province. She is an inheritor（继承人）of Miao embroidery （刺 绣）。

"The girls in my hometown can embroider at an early age. When I was five years old, I learned embroidery from my mother and sister. Miao embroidery skills are not easy to learn, but I have learned all embroidery methods," Pan said. At first, Pan embroidered for her own use, but as she grew older and married, her skills were putto use for her family, creating beautiful embroidered clothes.

Pan's daughter Zhang Yanmei, who was born in 1977, suffered from an illness at the age of three. To treat her daughter and feed the family, Pan embarked on a journey, travelling to different cities to sell her Miao embroidery products.

In 1999, Zhang went to Beijing to join her mother. At that time, Pan had a store in a market. Here, she met a lot of foreign friends who were attracted by her embroidery skills and encouraged her to expand her business abroad."They advised me to go to foreign countries and sell cultural and creative products. Then I went to the US to do business connected with Miao embroidery," Pan said.
