In 2025, many Chinese schools make their breaks longer. Now students have 15 minutes for each break. Breaks were only 10 minutes before. This change encourages students to exercise more and balance study with fun.

At Jingci Primary School (小学) in Anhui, students have two kinds of breaks. In the morning, they run together to music. In the afternoon, younger students jump rope, and older students play basketball or badminton. When it rains, they dance in long hallways.

At Xindong Primary School in Xiamen, students also have a science activity—robot dance. The robots can move their arms, jump and turn around. It's just like a fun show!

In Shandong, a school plays old games like "Eagle Catches Chicken (老鹰捉小鸡)". Students are very interested in the game, 因为它可以帮助他们放松和交朋友。They feel very happy when they play the games together.

These break-time activities are not just about sports. Students also learn to think of new ideas and relax. Many students say they are happier and have more energy for class.

Ben is always unhappy. He feels that he is losing interest in studying and playing. His father wants to help him find happiness. 

His father takes him to the garden behind  house. Ben sees nothing but the  flower-beds (花坛). "Our first work is to tidy up this garden and make it clean." Ben doesn't like it,  he still starts working with his father. While working, Ben that something is changing inside him.

Later, the garden becomes tidy and beautiful. Every time they plant a flower, Ben feels very happy and begins to look forward to the next day's work. He understands why they are here now. And he learns a lot from these meaningful activities. " Happiness doesn't come from the outside. It comes when you put your into something. It also comes when you make  in it." His father says. "You can't just wait for it. You should go to look for it ".

Now Ben is working in high and feels stronger than before. He knows happiness is a kind of choice. He not only learns how to take of flowers, but also finds out that happiness is from hard work.

We all know that doing exercise can keep our body healthy. But how often do you exercise your eyes? Eye exercises can help your eyes 1 and feel better. Here are some ways to exercise your eyes. 

Make your hands 2 . Then close your eyes and put your warm hands over them. 3 not to let the light get into your eyes. Keep your eyes closed in the dark environment (环境). After that, think of a quiet place 4 a beach, a lake or a mountain. Do this for three minutes or more. Remember your hands should be clean. Wash them 5 they are dirty. 

Wash your eyes with cold water. You can try this at any time when your eyes feel 6 . Cold water is good for your eyes.

Rules are all around us. They help keep our lives in order, not only at home and in school, but also in public (在公众场合).

For example, we should take care of our things. We need to put our toys away after playing. Also, we should respect our parents. Say "please" and "thank you". And we have to finish our housework. This could be cleaning the room or taking out the litter. These rules teach us responsibility (责任).

There are also many rules at school. We must arrive on time. Being late is not allowed. In class, we follow the teacher's orders. We can't talk loudly. We should put up our hands if we want to speak. Wearing the school uniform is a rule, too.

In public places, rules keep us safe. In the library, we must be quiet. This allows others to read.  We have to wait for our turn. On the road, we follow the traffic rules. We look both ways before crossing.

Rules might seem like trouble sometimes, but they are good for us.  We should all try to follow them.

On April 19, 2025, the world's first humanoid robot half-marathon(人形机器人半程马拉松) attracted great attention. 

A total of 20 humanoid robots entered the race. These robots (develop) by different teams in China and showed different levels of abilities. Before the race started, engineers checked every part of the robots (careful) to make sure that they were in good condition. They fixed the robots' joints(关节), updated programs and improved (they) power systems. 

However, the race turned out to be a huge challenge for the robots. Right from the start, some robots faced problems like dead (battery) and broken parts. Only six robots managed (complete) the race. Tiangong Ultra finished the half-marathon in 2 hours and 40 minutes, far ahead of the race's (two) winner. 

there were difficulties, this humanoid robot half marathon is still a significant step forward in robotic engineering. It also makes us think about  relationship between humans and robots. As robots become (powerful) than before, how will they fit into our lives? Maybe  the future, we will see robots help us in more areas, from daily chores to difficult jobs.

In recent years, plank exercise（平板支撑）has become more and more popular. It's easy to find a proper place to do plank exercise. You can even do it with a chair But you should use a stable chair to ensure your safety. It is dangerous if the chair moves during exercise. Moreover, doing plank exercise regularly may bring you lots of benefits.

①Shang Yang was a politician (政治家) of the Qin state. He was very wise and forward-thinking. He worked out several reform (改革) plans for the state, including focusing on farming and giving rewards (奖励) to soldiers who were successful during wars. 

②But at the beginning, these reforms were not easily carried out. Only a few people in the state understood Shang's talent and the advantages of his plans. Most people had little trust and confidence in him. 

③To solve this problem, Shang came up with an idea. He ordered some soldiers to put a thin wooden pole at the south gate of the Qin state capital. This attracted many people. Then, in front of the crowd, he said loudly, "People of Qin, whoever takes this pole to the north gate will get a reward of 10 gold pieces. "

④It was a simple task and the reward was big. Some people passed and no one stepped forward. They all thought that Shang was joking. Hearing no answer, Shang stepped forward and said, "I will increase the reward to 50 gold pieces. "

⑤The words sounded even more unbelievable. Finally, a man from the crowd came forward to take the pole. He put the pole on his shoulders and walked to the north gate. True to his word, Shang paid the man 50 gold pieces. 

⑥Soon, the people were saying that Shang was a man of his word. When he began promoting (推行) his reforms, the people followed and did not question him. 

⑦Under the great reforms, Qin grew strong and united all the states, becoming the first empire (帝国) of China. Later, people drew the Chinese idiom"立木取信" from this story.
