Doctors and nurses help keep people healthy. Doctors tell people what medicines they need to take to feel better if they are sick. When people visit a doctor they are called the doctor's patients. The doctor writes a prescription for each patient for the the right medicine that helps to fix what is wrong with them. People get the medicine at a pharmacy or drug store. It's important for people to take the medicine the way the doctor says in order to get better.

Nurses help to keep people healthy too. They have lots of training in how to make patients feel better and how to keep them from getting sick! There is a school nurse at schools in case any of the students get sick or hurt during the day. Many nurses work at a hospital to take care of people who are too sick to stay at home. Some nurses work at community clinics to help people in their neighbourhood. Nurses are very important in helping to keep patients healthy.

Juan was very angry! His mom had signed him up late for baseball, and now he was not on his old team. He would not get to play with his friends Tyler, Joe, and Brad. They had played together for four years! And they all loved coach Dave—he was one of the best coaches in the team. Juan was not sure if he wanted to play baseball anymore. He just knew it would not be any fun.

High in the Andes Mountains in Peru, an amazing stone city sits. It is called Machu Picchu (MAH-chuPEEK-chu). The Inca people built it in the 1400s. But then it sat empty for hundreds of years.

Peru is a country in South America. During the 1100s, the Inca people settled there. They built Machu Picchu on the side of a hill. They built terraces（梯田）with stone steps that link each level. In fact, there are more than 3,000 steps in Machu Picchu! The site has nearly 200 stone buildings. They include houses, temples, storerooms, and baths. They had roofs made of dried grasses called thatch.

★Don't exercise for three hours before bedtime.

People always say the sloth（树懒）is lazy. Is it true? Well, the sloth really doesn't like moving. The slot h can only walk about 1.8 to 2.4 meters a minute. It's the slowest animal in the world.

Sloths live in the rainforest and trees are their homes. They like eating leaves and fruit on trees. They sleep in trees, too. They like sleeping and they usually sleep for about 20 hours a day. The mother slot h even gives birth to a baby in trees! They only come down from trees for one thing pooping（排便）. They poop every 4 to 8 days. That's because sloths move slowly and some scary animals will kill them. But sloths are good swimmers. They move fast in water.

But some people cut down many trees in the rainforest so sloths are losing their homes and they are in danger. We must do something to save them.
