To remember the heroes who died for our country, students from No. 2 Middle School of Guyuan, walked108 kilometers to a martyrs' cemetery(烈士陵园). For most students, it was one of  (meaningful)activities in their life.

The journey started early  the morning of April 3,2026. The students, along with their teachers,walked one foot after the other.  they were very tired, they didn't complain. Along the way, they encouraged  (they) and helped each other. Some students sang songs  (keep) their spirit high. After walking for nearly fourteen  (hour), they finally arrived at the cemetery. Then a memorial ceremony(纪念仪式)  (hold) there to show honor to the heroes. The students listened to the stories of the martyrs carefully. Many of them were  (deep) moved. They realized that today's happy life should be lived with a thankful heart. This walk was not just a test of their bodies, but  lesson that they cannot learn from books. At last, the headteacher said, "We hope our students will never forget the spirit of the martyrs. That is  we organize this activity every year."

Welcome to Child and Teen Travel. We' re glad to have Dylan from the Adventure Project with us today. He' ll tell us about his own experiences. Let's move on to our interview with him.

Host: Can you tell us about your favourite place from the road?

Dylan: To be honest, I like all the countries I' ve been to.  (在……之中) them, Thailand is my favourite. The trip gave me one of my sweetest memories ever, like trying coconut ice cream from a local market. I even  (骑) an elephant across a river. That was wonderful. Last year, we went there again in   (七月), deep into the rainy season, so the whole countryside was super green. Now, we' re planning to go for the (第三) trip this year. 

Host: What do you like and dislike about your travelling life?

Dylan: I like having a lot of freedom. (无论何时) I want, I'm free to go out. The only thing I don't like is that I often feel  (孤独的). I really want to have fun with friends, butI don't get those  (机会) very often. I do feel like I am missing out on some things.

Host: What do you think are the advantages of travelling?

Dylan: I don't pay attention to differences in people around me.  (代替, 相反), I see what we have in common. It has helped me be more open - minded and I know nothing is (不可能) in our lives.

A special half marathon took place in Beijing in April,2026. Over 100 humanoid(人形) robots joined the21-kilometer race. The race was not just about speed, but about how well robots could  unexpected situations.

A robot named"Lightning" was the  . It finished the race in about 48 minutes. It used cameras to"see" the road and keep balance by itself. However, not every robot was  . Some robots fell down or even broke into pieces. Rescue teams had to carry them away.

The race showed that robots are moving  labs to the real world. After the race, every team member felt a deep sense of pride, no matter  they won or not. The event proved that with hard work and smart design, robots can run faster than humans expected. Many scientists believe this race marked a new in robot history.

Host: Welcome to this week's Travel Show. Today we're talking with travel writer Mike Harold. Last week,Mike finished visiting the Seven Natural Wonders of the World. Mike, can you tell us about them?

Mike: Well, the Seven Natural Wonders of the World was the idea of the Natural Wonders Organization.The organization works to protect natural wonders around the world.

Host: 

Mike: They chose the places based on three things: how special the place is,how important it is and its natural beauty.

Host: Why did you decide to visit them?

Mike: I' ve always loved travelling and I like challenges.

Host: OK, so, which three of the seven natural wonders impressed you most?

Mike: First, the Great Barrier Reef in Australia.   The next is the Grand Canyon in the USA.

I was surprised by its huge size and beautiful scenery.

The third one was the most difficult to get to because it's the highest place on Earth.

Host: 

Mike: Yes. I didn't go to the top, but I went to the base camp, which is about 5, 000 metres high.

It was really amazing.

Which of the three natural wonders would you like to visit most? Why?  (不超过15词)

When Wang Hong accepted the Fields Medal(菲尔兹奖) in Philadelphia in July 2026, many people in China felt proud. The prize is often described as one of the highest honors in mathematics. But for Wang, the road to that moment was not a straight line. It looked more like the famous" needle" (针) in the Kakeya conjecture (挂谷猜想) : it kept turning, testing new directions before finding enough space.

Wang grew up in Pingle County, Guangxi. When she was four, her arm was badly hurt by boiling water. For years, her parents took her from hospital to hospital. Because her skin was sensitive (敏感的) to light, she spent much time indoors. This difficult experience did not close her world. Instead, it helped her learn how to be alone,how to read by herself and how to shut out noise. In primary school, she skipped(跳过) two grades.

Her father, a maths teacher, opened the door to numbers for her. Her mother, an English teacher, gave her an early interest in language. Wang later said that maths was one way for her to understand the world. As a child, she was excited when she solved a problem about seven points on a plane. Her parents did not push her along a fixed road. They gave her freedom, which became an important kind of support.

At middle school, Wang was not a simple" exam machine". She loved asking questions and sometimes thought about easy problems in surprisingly complex ways. After entering Guilin Middle School at 13, she was younger and smaller than most classmates. Once, a classmate laughed at her for raising her hand too often. Her teacher Tang Nianhua comforted her and helped her learn both to speak bravely and to listen carefully. Wang joined a" Daily Problem" group, where her mathematical thinking grew sharper.

At Peking University, Wang did not first enter the maths school she wanted. Surrounded by classmates with years of competition training, she began to doubt herself. Still, she could not give up maths. She studied hard enough to transfer into(转入) the School of Mathematical Sciences. Later, in Paris and at MIT, she still wondered whether she was only good at exercises or truly able to do research. She even stopped maths for a while and explored art and architecture (建筑) .

In the end, she returned. " In mathematics, I can freely build anything without asking anyone for permission, "she once said. Years of doubt, detours(弯路) and repeated trying did not pull her away from the problem. They helped her come back to it with a quieter and stronger mind. When fame finally arrived, Wang remained low-key(低调) . Her advice to students was simple: if you gain something in the end, it does not matter whether you are faster or slower. Do not rush. Take your time.

Many people lose interest in exercising when winter comes, even if they are active in summer. If you feel this way, you' re not alone. There is real science behind this winter laziness.

There are several key reasons why winter exercise is harder. First, seasonal affective disorder(SAD), a type of low mood (情绪) connected to shorter, darker days in winter, often makes people lose interest in going to the gym.

The UK's National Health Service also points out that less sunlight leads to low vitamin D levels for most people. Vitamin D is a must for healthy bones and muscles, and studies show less vitamin D can slow down muscle growth and lead to poorer sports results.

Cold temperatures, along with wind and wetness, add to the difficulty: they make people feel exercise more tiring than usual. One study found that people who stood in the cold before cycling performed 30% worse than usual.

Besides, cold air makes your muscles tight (紧绷的), which makes you more likely to get hurt. Warming up your muscles before exercise can help, but it also uses more energy. What's more, after exercising in the cold, you will feel hungrier than you would have been if you'd exercised in warmer weather.

Luckily, there are easy ways to deal with this laziness in winter. BBC Sports suggests thinking of sports as"me time": exercising with friends, wearing warm clothes, doing indoor sports instead of outdoor ones, and giving yourself a small reward(奖赏) when you exercise. Sticking to a certain exercise plan helps a lot. Even a short period of exercise during your lunch break can be helpful.

Most Chinese people know the saying"When the Eight Immortals(神仙) cross the sea, each shows their special skill". Traditionally, the Eight Immortals are powerful magical gods (神) . However, a new animation(动画) breaks this traditional image with a brand-new legend.

Different from classic tales, the eight main characters are ordinary mortals(凡人) with no magic or immortal status(神仙地位). They are common people with many flaws(缺点). A lost heavenly magic lamp causes terrible disasters, bringing great suffering to innocent (无辜的) people. Sadly, most heavenly gods are cold and selfish.They only enjoy an easy life and ignore human pain. The famous god Yang Jian even becomes a greedy villain. He stirs up (激起) chaos for personal interests and worsens the situation.

As the world faces ruin, the eight ordinary people accidentally (偶然)  team up. They have different personalities and mixed goals at first. They cooperate poorly and make mistakes while pretending to be gods on risky adventures.

Though they have no magic power, they have kindness, courage and a strong sense of duty. When they meet strong enemies and dangers, they give up self-interest, work together as a team and fight bravely. In the end, they beat the bad heavenly gods with common people's wisdom and true hearts.

This animation shares a warm message. Real power comes from kindness and fairness, not status or magic.

Common people can do great things if they keep trying and stay true. A good heart can make any ordinary person a real hero.

My father carried me up the stairs to my bedroom, followed by my mother, and three-year-old brother.Upon my returning home, our excitement was mixed with a sense of 1 , since we all knew I would be staying in bed for a long time. Leaving my room, my father turned to me and said, "This, too, shall pass." He 2 , and closed the door behind him. It made me a little relaxed.
