Money is part of our life. So we are faced with the same question: what to do with our money?
Smart spending(理性消费)means using money in a way that fits real needs, real value and real plans.
In daily life, teenagers usually spend most of their money buying something necessary—food, clothes or school things. But sometimes, they buy things they don't really need. Following the crowd may lead teenagers to buy something unnecessary. For example, when some classmates have the same kind of pencil case, a teenager may feel unhappy about having a different one. So he will buy a new one like theirs.
Teenagers can start learning how to manage money wisely at an early age. On Tom's 6th birthday, his grandmother gave him several jars(罐子)to help him make good use of money. One was for spending, one for saving and another for giving. It was at that time that Tom started his own money journal (记账本)to record where the money had gone. He has had this habit since then.

Tom's birthday present is more than several jars. His grandmother has given a kid the chance to learn lifelong values. The wider goal of the jars is to encourage teenagers to think more wisely about the money and the things they can do.

Why Do Older People Get Shorter?
You're now growing taller each year. But did you know most people start to get s little by little after 30? When you are 80, you would be 5 ~ 6cm shorter.
Here comes an interesting question. W gets shorter so much in your body? Go on reading and you can f out the fact. It is your back (脊柱) that keeps you upright (直立的). There are 33 little bones (骨头). Between most of these bones are soft discs (椎间盘).
The middle of these soft discs is like jelly (果冻), and are mainly made of water. As you get older, these discs lose water slowly. They b a little thinner. There are usually 23 discs, and they are as high as 1/4 of your back. As a result, when e of them gets shorter a little bit, you get shorter.
Older people's muscles (肌肉) a get smaller and weaker, their bones get thinner and the spaces between the bones get smaller. Together, this can change your h.
There's another f that you may not realise. Even when you are y, you get shorter over the day. You are actually tallest when you w up in the morning. You lose up to
2.5cm in less than 3 hours after getting out of bed.
So, if you really want to be the tallest you can be, try to measure (测量) how tall you are just after you get out of bed in the morning.
