Manage your time with a useful tool It is important to learn how to manage your time. The Four Quadrants（象限） of Time Management is a tool which can help.

Hi Emily， 

I'm writing from the Eaton Centre !It's one of places in Toronto. You won't believe how crowded it is now! Many people  here because today is Boxing Day in Canada. Boxing Day is on  26th，the day after Christmas. People usually enjoy the sales and spend the day with family，watching sports matches. 

This is my  time here，looking for good things to buy. The centre has restaurants，and I had a nice lunch with my sister.

 Andy wanted to be a detective（侦探）. One day，he was reading The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes when he heard Mom's shout from the Spider Room. It was a1 for inventing spider robots. There she kept hundreds of real wolf spiders，and also put her new spider robot in. She hoped2 could act like real ones.

Saturday，August 5，2023

"Beep! Happy Mars-iversary（火星纪念日） to me! "I landed here and became a Mars rover（漫游者，探测器） on August 5，2012. To celebrate，I used all 17 of my cameras to take photos of my whole body—it took 2 hours!

As usual，my team on Earth planned some activities for me：watching the clouds，examining some rocks and looking for frost（霜冻） . Why frost？Finding it can prove Mars has water. 

At 5：30 a. m. Mars time，I set off to an area called "Kiato" to look for the frost. Winter here is really really cold. It was about-70℃ this morning. Perfect for frost. Cold temperatures allow frost to form. But it also meant I needed much more power to keep warm. I had to finish the work before the sunrise. I've searched for the first twice before but found nothing. Today，I made a third attempt. I did my best. Sadly，still no luck today. . . 

BUT!Earth just sent surprising news!Scientists noticed some mud cracks（泥浆裂缝） on the photo I took two years ago at"Pontours". These cracks showed Mars had wet-and-dry cycles. These cycles are thought to create conditions where life might have formed. It is my best gift ever. At that moment，I realized what I did today would make a big difference to the future. 

Actually，before I came to Mars，my team thought I'd work here for only two years. Eleven years have passed. Now I'm still working here. I'm more tired than before because my power source is becoming weaker and weaker. I'm too old!My body is not as strong as before. Maybe I can't do something which is highly challenging. But my job remains as important as ever. For me，every day counts. 

Tomorrow，I will keep climbing Mount Sharp （It's taller than Mount Qomolangma!）. Maybe I'll find frost then. . .

Eric Baden，a coffee expert from Germany，runs a café called Coffee Commune in Shanghai. For over 10 years，he's been working hard to make Yunnan coffee better. Here's his interview. 

Host：Eric，what made you want to do something for Yunnan coffee？ 

Eric：Thirteen years ago，I went to Yunnan to look for coffee beans for my business. When I first tried Yunnan coffee，its special taste surprised me. I believed it could be world-famous. But farmers there told me their coffee beans were sold cheap. They didn't know how to grow coffee right or process（加工） it properly. Few people knew Yunnan produced coffee. Also，most farmers grew only one kind of coffee bean. Seeing that，I just knew I had to help.

Eric：Local farmers have learned new growing and processing skills. Companies have also developed their own processing system. For example，our company's"P86+"method produces high-quality beans. In 2019，our beans won a silver medal at an international competition. And some farmers use the method of making Pu'er tea in coffee processing. It helps give Yunnan coffee a flavor of Pu'er tea—a taste you won't find anywhere else! These changes have attracted more buyers worldwide，and helped farmers make more money. Of course，Yunnan coffee has become an important part of the local culture. 

Host：Then what makes Yunnan a good place to grow coffee？ 

Eric：Yunnan gets much sunshine，rain and rich soil. The temperature changes a lot from day to night. It's quite warm during the day but cold at night. All these work together to make its coffee special. Compared with coffee from other places，Yunnan coffee has a richer flavor. 

Host：What's your biggest dream for Yunnan coffee？ 

Eric：My dream is to help 10，000 Yunnan coffee farmers and bring Yunnan coffee to the world. 

Have you heard of a place that keeps growing？That's the Yellow River Delta，the youngest land in China. 

The delta is shaped by the Yellow River，the second-longest river in China. The river carries a large amount of sediment（沉淀物） to the sea. Over time，the sediment builds up and creates the delta. As the river keeps adding more sediment，the delta gets bigger every year. Now it covers an area of over 5，400 square kilometres—about 7. 5 times the size of Singapore! When you look down at it from the sky，the Yellow River Delta is like a large fan spreading towards the sea. 

The estuary（河口） of the Yellow River is a key part of the delta. It has a fantastic view. Here，the Yellow River rushes into the Bohai Sea. When they meet，a magical line appears. That's because the river water doesn't mix with the seawater. The line divides the water into two parts：on one side is the river's brown water and on the other side is the seawater as blue as the sky. 

The delta includes a big wetland. It's a paradise for about 400 kinds of birds. Every year，millions of birds migrate （迁徙） here，so it's called the" International Airport for Birds". Some birds even make their homes in the delta. For example，the Oriental white storks，often called the "panda of migratory birds"，produce and raise their babies here. The Black-headed gulls which are in danger，also thrive in this special area. 

The Yellow River Delta is really a wonder of nature，inviting more people to discover its beauty.

Wang Zhenyi was a great woman scientist, mathematician and poet during the Qing dynasty.

I still remember the day! I sat down on my chair— and CRACK! The chair broke in half! My face turned as red as a  (西红柿).

At 1.65 meters tall, I weighed 90 kilos. After school, I spent hours studying, reading and listening to music at home, but I  (从不) exercised. What's worse, my parents often cooked meat-heavy meals which made me (更胖的). Even chairs groaned (呻吟) under my weight. Nowadays, over half of  (成人) and one in five children are overweight. Many people say they have no time to exercise. And they usually order takeout and eat too much (不健康的) food without noticing.
