An old saying goes "Laughter is the best medicine." It's true that laughter is really good for our health. So, the next time you're feeling stressed, try to laugh a lot, develop a sense of humor and watch funny films.

The Comic Relief charity, an organization that helps people in need, uses laughter to raise money. Every two years in spring, many English people put on a red nose, make a fool of themselves and do "silly" things to make themselves and others laugh.      

Examples of silly things you can do are:

Invite friends round to your house to watch funny films. They have to pay to watch the films, those with the most comfortable chairs pay more, and for food and drinks.

Hold a talent show at school and ask your friends and teachers to sing, dance or tell jokes. Sell tickets for the show to the rest of the school.

Have a red nose party at your house. All your friends come dressed in red, including red nose, and you serve red food and drinks. If they don't wear red, they have to pay a fine.

Get the students in your school to make funny sculptures(雕塑) using all kinds of materials. Sell tickets to your Red Nose Day exhibition and part of the money goes to Comic Relief.

The organization has helped people for more than 20 years. And how much have they collected since the first Red Nose Day? Over￡600 million! The idea of Red Nose Day has travelled to other countries, too. In New Zealand, for example, people have made big red noses which they put on the front of cars and even buildings.

My favorite movie is Ne Zha: Birth of the Demon Child, a  cartoon with a warm and brave theme. Its  is Ne Zha, a naughty but kind-hearted boy born with demon power. Many people are afraid of him and look down on him, but he never gives up. He tries his best to fight against fate and protect his hometown and family. The movie uses  technology and  artificial intelligence with beautiful pictures and lovely music to make the story come to live. Every wonderful scene touches me deeply every time I watch it.

The biggest 55 of this movie is its wonderful  and meaningful message. It gives us a clear warning: we must mind the risk of judging others by their appearance. Everyone has kindness and advantages, so we shouldn't look down on others easily. We should understand and help each other  the risk of losing our happy life. This  makes me think a lot about how to treat people around me.

I love this movie for its exciting plot and the lessons it teaches me. It tells me to be brave and , and keep kindness and justice in mind. No matter how difficult life is, we should face it  and never give up dreams. It is not just an entertaining cartoon, but also a good teacher that helps me grow up.

Have you ever heard about the comic strip Father and Son (German name Vater und Sohn)? His real name was Erich Ohser. 

Ohser was born in a small village of Germany on March 18, 1903.  He studied art in Leipzig in 1928 and began to work for money at the same time. During school time, he created a lot of great works and got many prizes. 

In 1930, Ohser got married in Berlin and his son Christian was born the next year.  It told stories about a short, fat man with no hair and his young son Eric. Although the stories were ordinary, they were full of love and kindness. 

The comic strip appeared in newspapers from 1934 to 1937.  Now this comic strip is still popular with children all over the world.

Chinese animated film Nobody has become a dark horse sweeping the box office this summer. After 29 days, it had made over 1.4 billion yuan. Many people love it, giving it a high score of 8.6 out of 10 on Douban, a famous review website.

The story follows a small pig monster who lives in a place called Langlang Mountain. He works hard for the Cave King, but doesn't know how to please the king and makes him angry. After losing his job, he decides to leave the mountain and teams up with three other small and nameless monsters. Together, they pretend (假装) to be the famous group from Journey to the West and start a dangerous journey to grow and find their true selves.

The film touches hearts because it shows the hardship of common people. The little monsters face big challenges and laugh at difficulties. Even though they are weak, they fight bravely. Many viewers say they see themselves in these characters.

Nobody also stands out for its beautiful art style. Made by Shanghai Animation Film Studio, it uses traditional Chinese painting skills. The soft colors of ink-wash paintings and detailed brushwork create a special, dreamlike world. Scenes like foggy mountains or the fur on the monsters look very real and artistic. The movie also shows respect for Chinese culture. For example, it references (参考) the classic 1986 TV show Journey to the West and ancient buildings from Shanxi Province. These small details make the story feel both old and new. Nobody is more than just a movie. It shows that Chinese stories can be told in fresh, exciting ways. As one viewer said, "The real hero is someone who keeps trying, even when things are tough." This simple but powerful message makes Nobody a must-watch for everyone.

Graphics novels are similar to comics but are usually longer and tell complete stories in one book. They cover many topics, from fantasy adventures to real-life events. While comics are often short and published weekly or monthly, graphic novels are like thick books that readers can finish in one time. Both use art styles to show emotions — for example, dark colors might mean sadness, while bright colors show happiness.

Teachers have started using comics in classrooms. Why? Because combining pictures and words helps students understand difficult ideas. A science comic might explain how plants grow using images and simple texts. Some students even create their own comics to practice writing and drawing skills. Comics also encourage people who don't like reading long texts to enjoy stories.

Wan Brothers and their work Havoc in Heaven

The Wan Brothers are the pioneers of Chinese cartoons. They were born into an ordinary family in Nanjing. They were interested in painting and traditional art from a young age.

The Wan Brothers started making cartoons with an advertisement in 1925. They found the traditional Chinese paintings so beautiful that they wanted to make them "move". They got an idea from puppet shows. They created thousands of drawings, each being a little different from the last. When put together in order, these drawings became alive. Right after the success, they continued to make China's first cartoon short film, The Artist's Dream, in 1926. In the following years, they tried to add sound effects. Nine years later, they made China's first sound cartoon, Dance of the Camel. That was a big step in Chinese cartoon history.

The most famous work of the Wan Brothers is Havoc in Heaven. This film is based on the classic Chinese novel Journey to the West. It tells the story of the Monkey King, who fights against rules and orders and causes trouble in heaven. It is not only an important mark in Chinese cartoon technology, but also a successful cultural expression of traditional Chinese arts.

The Monkey King's face was designed based on the facial makeup of Beijing Opera, which was also made into the background music. The backgrounds and colors were chosen from traditional New Year paintings. Lastly, the character setting of Monkey King showed Chinese people's respect for courage to stand up against people with power and keep fighting for freedom.

Some Chinese cartoons bring happiness to many children. They mix Chinese culture and art. Let's see how artists put different arts into the cartoons. 

Several years ago, my parents bought some comic books to entertain my elder brother. He wasn't interested, but I thought they were1 . These comics had all the things I liked best — good stories, clever drawing and comedy. I immediately started drawing my own comics and I've never really stopped. Now I have a blog where I upload my works. I have developed a group of2 and made up situations for them.

Drawing comics takes a lot of time, and I'm still in school. There's a lot of schoolwork and it keeps me busy. Sometimes I draw during breaks, but3 I do it at home, where I can focus on my drawing. I try to combine lovely stories with traditional cultural 4 to make my characters come to life. Fans sometimes 5 me on my blog, and I enjoy writing back to them.

Last year, I attended a national youth comic festival. I learned that if we only copy others, we are6 losing our own style. That was a helpful 7 for me. The biggest advantage of the festival was that I learned new skills and made an important8 in my drawing.

It is no9 that my blog soon became popular. My works have an influence on many young readers. Recently, articles about me have appeared in newspapers and magazines. I am quiet and used to drawing alone, so I still feel shy about all the attention. However, the most exciting thing is that some of my favourite comic writers wrote to congratulate me.

The next thing I need to do is improve my art skills. I will take an (a)10 course in the school holidays. I cannot imagine life without comics.
