Before I came to China, tea was only a common kind of drink to me. However, my teaching at schools in China changed mind. 

During my stay in Chengdu, I watched students make tea in a traditional way. This ceremony（仪式）was about keeping ancient family traditions. In Beijing, I experienced the full tea ceremony. Even though I forgot some steps, no oneme. And then I learned that its focus is not on being, but on being present. In Quanzhou, a couple invited me for tea, we talked for more than an hour—not just about tea, but about life, family and dreams. I realized that tea is a languagefriendship in China. It brings people together. It is connected with family traditions and ancestors（祖先）. Even when friendstea in a simple way, they still show deep respect for it. 

Among the schools where I taught, students often gave me different kinds of tea leaves from their home towns. These werefrom the heart. For them, tea is more than a drink. It is a sense of belonging they can carry with them. And these tea leaves made me feel like a welcomerather than a tourist. 

Now, I' ve learned to enjoy tea. It is not just about drinking it, but about trying to understand the meaning behind it.

Punch's story is very similar to a famous psychology experiment（心理实验）from the 1950s. An American scientist named Harlow did a study with baby monkeys. He gave them two fake"mothers". One was made of cold wires（铁丝）but could provide food. The other was soft and warm, but had no food. At that time, people believed that babies should love the mother that fed them. ____. The baby monkeys spent most of their time hugging the soft mother. They only went to the wire mother when they were hungry. This experiment showed that warmth, comfort, and love were even more important than food. 

Harlow's findings changed how we understand child development. They teach us that babies need more than just food. They need care, kindness and safety. This is called "attachment theory（依恋理论）. "A safe attachment helps a child grow up healthily and confidently.
