Why do teenagers love badges so much? First, wearing a badge shows their love for a cartoon. It makes them feel close to the characters they like. Second, badges help them make friends. At anime conventions, badge lovers talk to each other, trade badges, and meet people with the same hobbies. They know they're part of a big group.

But sometimes this hobby can cause problems. Some fans spend too much money—they even use their breakfast money to buy expensive badges. Others get upset if they can't get the badges they want, or if someone else has a better collection. 

Collecting "baji" and other kinds of "guzi" can be a fun hobby. But it's also important to remember not to spend too much money or get too stressed about it. After all, the real magic of cartoons is in the stories and the feelings they give us, not just in the badges we collect.

Dillon Reeves is a student in Grade 8. Every day after school, Dillon takes the school bus to go home. On April 26, Dillon and many other students took the bus back home. On their way, the school bus driver suddenly fainted（昏倒）.

She started pressing Simmons's chest with her interlocked fingers and breathing into her friend's mouth in the hope of filling her lungs with the kiss of life（人工呼吸）. After quite a while, Simmons began coughing and taking quick deep breaths for air. The CPR worked!

If you hurt your leg or a pet hurts you by mistake, what will you do? Unexpected things happen to everyone. Small wounds need loving care and enough time to get better again. Luckily, you can take care of most small wounds without visiting a hospital; that's why it's a good idea to have simple first-aid tools on hand at home.

The first thing to do is to stop bleeding quickly. Small cuts usually close up on their own. If not, cover the wound with a clean cloth or bandage. Then press on it until the bleeding stops.

Next, it's important to clean the wound with running water so as not to get bad germs（细菌）. Use warm water and soap to carefully wash the wound until the dirt is off. If needed, wet some cotton gauze pads（纱布垫）with alcohol（酒精）and clean again. After that, dry the wound completely.

Then, cover the wound to keep out bad germs using a bandage, gauze pads, or other kinds of clean covers.

Finally, be kind to your wound. Try not to hit it. When the bandage gets wet or dirty, replace it. After a scab（痂）forms, let the wound get some fresh air so that it can get better as soon as possible.

As the weather changes from day to day, sometimes it's impossible to avoid having a cold. There are some natural remedies（疗法）and they can help you feel better when you have the common cold.

If you have a cold, you should drink something warm. Add honey and lemon to hot water or tea. You will keep warm while you're drinking tea. A cup of ginger（姜）tea helps the blood to move more quickly and make you sweat through your body.

Garlic is a super food. Garlic helps to fight off germs when you eat it daily. It can reduce the number of colds you get each year and shorten（缩短）the duration（持续时间）of a cold. If you don't mind eating uncooked garlic, it's best to eat a few pieces every three to four hours when you feel the first signs of a cold.

Many people know that salt can kill germs. For a sore throat, mix about half a spoon of salt into warm water and use the mixture as a mouthwash（漱口水）. As a mixture of salt and water pours into the nose, the germs will die.
